I just started watching last week, just finished season 1. Like most people here I initially avoided it because “muh Rebecca sugar is a Jew!!!!”

I’ve since changed my mind and it’s now in my top 5 favorite shows, and I’m not even done with it. I fucking love Garnet.

I even liked the “bad” or “filler” episodes of season 1. So long as the characters stay interesting and the gems stay cute I literally don’t care.

Despite the complaints I had about future seasons, I feel like a lot of them would be mitigated by simply being able to watch all the episodes at once.

Waiting a seven month hiatus just to get five townie episodes not even featuring any of the gems or actual plot elements before another hiatus was bullshit and just exacerbated every nitpick people had.

The ending was rushed dog shit because they used months of haitus to make garbage townshit and barnshit eps everyone forgot about.
The movie was good, Future was awful and the entire show was retroactively made worse for it existing.
