NFTs are basically just receipts on the blockchain for things you can never actually take possession of or exercise ownership rights over.

People have routinely had six figures or more of crypto or NFTs stolen from them.
And Federal banking insurance and the SEC just laughs long and hard when you try to get recompense. If your bank is robbed you are good and solvent. If your crypto/nft exchange gets hacked you are essentially fucked except in ultra rare cases.

NFTs/Crypto are an awful store of value, as it's entirely based on the enthusiasm of a sub-culture trying to replace actual money with a digital currency, when actual money is already 99% a digital currency.

You can use it to buy silver and gold which has real objective value and can be used to hedge against inflation when the dollar inevitably becomes more and more worthless.
