This is so fucking contrarian. It's definitely one of those series that's composed of like 70% bad games at this point, but it still has a chunk of good ones. To say it has zero is ridiculous.

Genesis was the console of smart people, it had better graphics and pushed the home gaming envelope. That generation of kids are now adults with children, so they want to go. Other kids see it as retro and kinda fun.

Adventure 1 can barely be called a game and it will never cease to amaze me that people ever found it good, let alone that they still do. Adventure 2 is the best Sonic game.

If you think 1 is bad, then I don't see how you can like 2. 2 is worse than 1 in every conceivable way. I finally played 2 for the first time just a few months ago, and I can honestly say, without nostalgia, that the game fucking sucks. I replayed 1 right before it and found it way more enjoyable. 2 shouldn't even be called Adventure, it felt like something totally different.

Generations will be 9 years old this year. I was optimistic for the future of Sonic once that came out, but it was a fluke. No other Sonic game since then has been good, other than Mania. Especially the 3D games, which have been trash.
