I read that on streaming services and sales Contagion has been getting a new lease of life thanks to Covid, which is pretty amusing. The sort of grounded procedural tone made the whole thing genuinely scary. Almost immediately afterwards I caught the film Outbreak which was just the most clichéd Hollywood version of a virus film possible to the point I found it hilarious. It definitely made me appreciate Contagion even more.
