What's her name?

For me, it's Bioshock.

theres no reason to turn an interactable media into a non-interactable version of itself besides money.

NBA jam

How much of a brainlet do you have to be to yearn for an adaptation to film? Film isn't some end goal that you need to strive towards. Enjoy what you have you fucking retard.

Silent Hill 1 through 3 would make good films but they all have problems.
>1 is too heavy with the discomforting settings and music, it'll turn people away
>2 is too open-ended to be accepted by a mainstream movie crowd
>3 stars a girl so whoever writes it will insert a bunch of GIRL POWER shit and ruin the fact that Heather is a teenager who just lost her only family

Normal people are not going to play a game that is over a decade old.

....okay?

ive been playing Bioshock: Infinite in my downtime to destress from work and I love it.

I'd make it an animated show, but only produce. I'd want the creator/s to be involved with everything.

Attached: 1569764266593.jpg (752x1063, 229K)

a F.E.A.R. movie would need several hours of walking around office building corridors removed. and probably need a protagonist who talks.

other than Elizabeth there is nothing good about that game

Elder Scrolls

I'd like to think that in a perfect world they turn it into a miniseries that lasts forever in order to cover as much of the lore as possible.

Elizabeth is a shitty character, so I assume you mean her model in SFM porn when you refer to her.

Her voice is nice.

Fallout New Vegas

Bioshock 2 was the best of the trilogy imo i know most think its the worst
youtube.com/watch?v=ODOaW9DPcV0

But to answer OPs question it would be Ocarina of Time

i like the character design. she's a cute

Attached: Elizabeth_(BioShock).png (214x465, 126K)

>normal people

Elder Scrolls lore was written down by basically one guy who has long since left Bethesda. The company chooses to ignore 99.9% of the lore because it is so off-the-wall and crazy.

Just look up what a "Dragonbreak" is and try to picture the average Skyrim player attempting to understand a dragon-god literally breaking time and allowing multiple conflicting timelines to play out at once until they all combine into a sum total of all the evens from all the timelines.

If you were wondering, that means a war can be won, lost, and not even fought but the final timeline could only include the effects of the lost war. Any historian talking about winning or never fighting the war will still be right though...

Eh, depends on the angle.

People don't like Bioshock 2 because its existence is contrived.

In canon, Andrew Ryan sealed off all of Bioshock 2's settings and people and ideas in Bioshock 1. That's so lazy and dumb that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Attached: masseffect.jpg (920x514, 99K)

Nah. There's no way we could have a BioShock based movie without people shoving their SJW politics in to it, Andrew Ryan would definitely be seen as the villian due to his extremely simple and common sense belief that man should be responsible for himself and himself only and that the government should keep out of it all. Blah blah blah free market bad blah blah unchecked capitalism bad blah blah blah neoliberalism bad. It would be totally ruined by the snowflake generation. Keep politics out of it.

fpbp
a kino game only loses value in being adapted

>keep politics out of it
t. Ryan

The movie already exists tho.

Attached: 654.jpg (315x445, 45K)

Lmao he was trying to make every choice the player can make canon in the context of the lore.

>Andrew Ryan sealed off all of Bioshock 2's settings and people and ideas in Bioshock 1

So that's why they rose up when he died, dingus

couldnt care less for em

Hitman.
Yeah yeah, there are already two Hitman movies but they were trash.
A Hitman film that doesn't focus on Agent 47 but instead on a detective tracking him down or one of his targets could be great. He's too one-dimensional to be the lead actor, but that's how he's supposed to be.

Attached: 51BnFvvSlFL._SY445_.jpg (310x445, 23K)

Legend of Zelda ffs.

Just keep it a simple rescue the princess movie. Can't believe no one has tackled it.

>two
There was more than one?

Video game movies are shit. There’s never been a good one.

>Politics out of Bioshock

You sweet summer child, Bioshock is one massive critique of Ayn Rand’s philosophy. It is as political as it gets.

I feel like this is wrong for some reason.

I think libertarians are retards but come on dude that was just one big straw man

Bioshock's twist, and a lot of it's premise are about agency. It makes zero sense to adapt as a movie where the audience is simply along for the ride. It would just be a weird twist on Escape from New York.

Yeah. Hitman from 2007, and Hitman: Agent 47 from 2015.

There is, it's called Drive

What is Mortal Kombat

Pretty sure its just morons and pedos that want that game adapted.

It's been said before but I really want a Hitman movie from a group of victim's perspective that plays out like a slasher horror movie as 47 as the monster with him having cameos outside of horror moments with disguises

Attached: agent 47.png (616x615, 164K)

she's no Alyx Vance

There's definitely never been a great one.
But Silent Hill, Mortal Kombat and Prince of Persia weren't horrible.
But sure, it's not a good hit-rate. I'm guessing few talented directors want to touch something like that. It's selling the film because of the brand, it's mostly a creation of the producer.

This post is a joke right?

New Vegas

Prove me wrong then

despite her being FULLY MODELED, she's an ugly mutt

neither here nor there really, but supposedly Ridley Scott's Legend was a big inspiration for Legend of Zelda.

Not a film, but an animation movie. It fits PERFECTLY.

Attached: grim fandangp.jpg (1000x1384, 947K)

I can't, it's just a feeling.

It would work, some of the best Golgo 13 stories were like that

Why do people lust after film adaptations of everything they love?

I get it with books, it's fun to see the direction they take the visual design of things you could only imagine for yourself before. But games are already a visual medium, and most games already leverage the language of film. What do they gain by removing the element of player agency?

buddy, I've got some news

This
only incels and racists play old games

More content to obsess over.

retard

Attached: sonic.jpg (1400x1400, 134K)

Unoriginal, but FF6. It would need to be a trilogy at least though.

Too bad Coco came out first

Yeah, that could work.
From the targets' point of view he is a sort of slasher villain. You never see him coming, but at any time you could get poisoned, shot in the head, pushed to your death, have something drop on you. Bombs could be anywhere, he could be disguised as anyone near you, he could be hiding in your closet waiting for you to fall asleep.
It's part slasher villain, part The Punisher, part Final Destination environmental threats.

it's just a story in a different art form. the real question is why do so many people watch other people play video games? no agency there either.

it's a large scale equivalent of youtube reaction videos-- people want to see people like the things they like but they know not everyone is going to play bioshock or read blood meridian

bioshock is just an alternate disney epcot . it'sa bit of trite storyline these days

The people were free to make their own choices. If it ended up as a dystopia then that's the choice they made. Better than being babied from the crib to the cradle in this modern day of bullshit social justice and crybaby nonsense.

There are a couple of animated films, but I'd love to see some space horror in live action.

Attached: 220px-Dead_Space_Box_Art.jpg (220x293, 20K)

Yeah, and it was generic disney shit.
Also it wasn't even first.
The Book of Life was first and it flopped because it didn't have mouse influence

They'd ruin it user, don't be foolish.

Attached: 1575278256877.jpg (797x866, 172K)

Hotline Miami was inspired by Drive I think

A year apart in release makes that unlikely, but possible.

what would happen in the first film

Planescape Torment has better story and dialogs than 90% of modern movies. But I'm pretty sure it's unadaptable due nature of the game

A million modern horror movies which's writers played silent hill 2 already copied it's story. But yeah it's the most kino video game.

eurogamer.net/articles/2012-11-10-the-creators-of-hotline-miami-on-inspiration-storytelling-and-upcoming-dlc

Attached: 1.jpg (705x189, 30K)

They've already ruined the series, the dev team is disbanded and EA own the rights. It's not like it can get more fucked up.
If they focus on DS1's story and let us see the gore and shit, then it might work.
They could have flashbacks to the outbreak, so we got to see Nicole some more and so we got to see the necromorphs kill some people, making them seem like a threat. In the game the player can die many times to them in horrific ways, but in a movie we can't just have Issac kill them all and make them seem weak.

Attached: 1537218311733.webm (640x360, 2.74M)

Art direction was probably still unfinished, so it's possible his look influenced Jacket's

Fair enough.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth

I think they outright thank Drive or Refn in the credits.

Way too convoluted.

OP love your pick but the woke shit would ruin it

What about Fable?

True but what can change the nature of a game ?

give me a league of legends movie already and cast every big titted mommy actress in hollywood

is Mad max

Yeah Drive is that movie. Funny to think that Refn played the game before making his film.

RDR2 is truly unadaptable. I think Bioshock really could be done though.

shit tier zoomers would just watch fortnights

Greed.
God I miss games with good story so much

The game is a massive critique of Ayn Rand and Libertarian ideology you fucking retard, you pick that up in the first 5 minutes with the bathysphere drops you off and you see rapture is a shithole after the lofty speech

Bioshock is a shitty version of System Shock.

Attached: NAH.png (400x490, 164K)

Movie adaptations of video games are pointless and shitty.

Post movies/tv shows that would make good vidya
>Judge Dredd (The Raid one)
>Source Code (the 7 minute loop flick)

Yup. It's a retarded, useless critique of a super strawmanned version of Ayn Rand's views but you're correct.

this would be awesome

Vampire The Maquarade Bloodlines would be unironically first good move since Blade

>GWX.exe

you could easily adapt bioshock because 99% of the game is wandering around linear corridors shooting freaks and looting, which is the first thing you'd throw into the trash when you start trying to adapt it.
when you've got so little ACTUAL narrative content you can easily turn it into whatever the fuck you want. you could even give the story an ending that isn't dogshit or make the characters remotely interesting this time around.

Honestly, Drive is a lot more grounded than HM when you get down to it. If one were to adapt HM they'd have to really lean into the psychedelic shit.

The gameplay is clunky but I appreciate it for being an ambitious lovecraft game. Never even saw a second of the new call of cthulhu game but heard it was ass (not that it was related to dark corners in any way)
Sadly I never beat it because the fight against Dagon is horribly bugged but that ship battle was awesome for the time.

The Silent Hill movie is excellent tho

IT WON'T BUDGE

I still hear it sometimes in my dreams...

Bioshock movie wouldn't work because so much of the story is told in flashback and so much of the subtext involves choice in video games anyway. That said:
>Deus Ex
>Planescape: Torment
>Morrowind

Persia was fucking trash

I'm not saying it isn't a strawman, but to act like it didn't have politics in the firstplace is retarded.

It was. Also loved the soundtrack

this

Attached: SystemShockPoster.jpg (582x800, 61K)

>directed by Refn
>not Lynch
Aesthetically, yes the games are akin to Refn, but thematically and artistically I really think Lynch would bring the game into its own in kino format. Refn is too clean, while lynch's surrealism and grime would give the films themes a big boost, focusing more on the psychlogical/brutal elements of the plot instead of jacket. Jacket isn't interesting, thats the point, he's a plot mechanism to apply yourself to. Lynch would take the "muh 80s" vibe thats been done to death in the 2010s and make it uncomfortable in one of the most kino ways imaginable, and goddamnit user now I need this movie. Also if he changed the plot to be a pardo and jacket film this might be the most kino idea imagineable.

Attached: Hotline Miami.jpg (1500x1500, 790K)

Video games do not make good movie adaptations because their stories are conveyed entirely differently. Games that are good at storytelling convey it via environment. Movies are a different beast and rely on more traditional methods of storytelling.

Attached: dark souls.jpg (429x606, 58K)

I miss her original design where she had black hair and way larger tits

MGS would be awesome if they shot it in long takes a la revenant or even hardcore henry

Gay post, fuck you
Take your culture war shit somewhere else

Homeworld deserves its own series.

drive is nothing like HM at all besides some synthwave and a silent protag. the jacket reference is the only influence drive had on the game and fucking retards keep spouting this stupid hot-take because drive is apparently the only film they've seen.
cocaine cowboys inspired HM, not drive. you'd think people might be smart enough to put it together that a game where you don't drive isn't anything like a film fucking called DRIVE but here you dipshits are, in the flesh.

Barkley's Shut Up and Jam Gaiden

Attached: No refs. No whistles. Just you, me, and Sweet Georgia Brown.jpg (533x800, 79K)

basically this, adapting a video game into a movie is like adapting a movie into a book, the book may be readable and even enjoyable with a good enough author but it will always be just a pale mockery of the original work in a format it wasn't intended for.

Not necessarily environment, but clearly through interactivity.
Kinda like how Suikoden games were amazing because the world building was written around characters you had to look for and find ways to recruit, or like how you often called for help in MGS and get really nice discussion and character development through codec calls.

depends on whether the interactivity is used for the narrative or not. Especially AAA games bank on cinematics and cutscenes which is just aping film.

which one is the good one? im interested

Lucasarts was the best thing George did for humanity. They managed to manufacture pure soul in form of adventure games.

The games that could be adapted as movies without massive restructuring are games that are basically structured as movies already, i.e. adventure games. Games like Gabriel Knight, Broken Sword, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Sanitarium come to mind.

What politics are in it? There's no fucking government, Atlas was a paradise because it lacked the political system entirely, the people were free to do whatever they wanted.

Eleanor is so much of a better Daughter its not even funny. Also much less of a slut. Fun fact due to the way infinite timelines work all SFM featuring Elizabeth is canon

A movie focusing on the Combine invasion set during the gap between Half Life 1 and 2 could work if it was overseen by HL writers.

Too bad the game sucked dick after you get guns. Too bad the ending is dependent on what your AI friends do while you are doing another objective.

So tired of the "everything needs to be a movie" fags.

Attached: 1581301620179.jpg (368x454, 36K)

Who cares? fuck 'em.

If it was intended as a critique of Ayn Rand individualism it’s a pretty poor one. Andrew Ryan was successful in his goal of creating a paradise city under the sea, it only fell to ruin because it was hit with what’s essentially a zombie outbreak when you get right down to it. The same thing would have happened to any society that was subjected to plasmids, no matter what governmental system they subscribed to.

>and probably need a protagonist who talks.
Just do a spooky Hardcore Henry.

normal people are fucking retarded

Attached: vengersberg.jpg (691x1024, 862K)

Well, the argument at least is that it went to shit because there was no regulation or moralism constraining the ADAM business. It became a perfect playground for gangsters like Fontaine.

Fontaine used Ryan's lack of control to create plasmids which got everyone addicted to Adam. He also got the poor of Rapture on his side, whom Ryan ignored and blamed for their own problems. Ryan then realized that he was becoming less relevant than Fontaine so he nationalized Fontaine's businesses.

When an Ayn Rand wannabe NATIONALIZES a business, it's fucking over.

>Andrew Ryan was successful in his goal of creating a paradise city under the sea
Sure, if you ignore the entire fucking premise of the game.

GTA4

I get all that, but it still strikes me as a fedora tier strawman criticism where the writer unleashes an inhuman pandemic on the population and uses that to say “See! This political ideology that I hate doesn’t work after all!”. I could easily write a version of Bioshock set in a Democratic society, where Frank Fontaine is a mob boss who buys out politicians, and he teams up with Andrew Ryan who’s a wealthy philanthropist, and together they strong-arm and lobby the government to legalize and deregulate the distribution of plasmids, leading to societal downfall. It would be even easier to write such a story in a communist society since they’re always super corrupt and tyrannical.

>the writer unleashes an inhuman pandemic on the population and uses that to say “See! This political ideology that I hate doesn’t work after all!
But that user's point is that if their society's economy was regulated, then that crisis wouldn't have happened. It's not a strawman if the pandemic is exacerbated by the social conditions in which it exists, and that's so clearly what Bioshock is trying to do

In Infinite's dlc when you watch one of those mini films made by Cohen

Attached: 1545423104745.jpg (432x432, 22K)

They did do one about a communist based society, it's called BioShock 2

Bioshock is the one fucking game that wouldn't work as a film you absolute brainlet

Attached: ffmaxresdefault.jpg (1600x900, 164K)

It is a strawman that's the point it's the philosophy taken to a logical extreme to prove it's point. Everyone became depraved drug addicts fucking around with designer genes and everything is rundown and shit without a government to protect people the entire society spiraped downwards and mobster ran the city by using people

A movie based on the events of the game would never work, but a series set before the events of the game could work quite well.

Why not?

Ayn Rand is leftist now?

bioshock is hardly interactive

Yeah that could work, need the perfect VA's though.

Venture Bros would be good, too.

SS2, yeah. SS1. Not at all. SS1 is an ugly unplayable mess and the only people who praise it are those who played it when it came out.

Elder Scrolls lore is great.
Dragonbreaks are a good example of how batshit they can be. I specially like the in-game books that have them as the subject. I think it's "Where were you when the dragon broke?" that has descriptions of it happening from the point of view of in-universe characters, like days going backwards or time not moving at all for a long time.

>i know most think its the worst
No sapient human being prefers Infinite over 2.

Someone kept posting Chrono Trigger movie adaptation threads here. It just wouldn't make any sense to do it in such a short format. Imagine only spending a few minutes in each timeline and never giving the music and atmosphere of each area enough time to sink in.

is trash.

Why not just take the universe and setting and make a complete new story with it?

Leaves the door open for a better plot

Hell yes.

The truest answer to movies that could be cool as a movie:
-Half Life 1, 2, or inbetween
-Pathologic
-Hotline Miami
-Barbie's Horse Adventure 2

Kotor 1 should be made into few different movies.

Maybe a trillogy and that’s just for the first one
So tv series?

this would only work if the main appeal of the game was the plot and character. something like red dead or uncharted could work but why even do it?

>Dark City
>Bioshock
>literally the same plot
You have either not watched Dark City, not played Bioshock, or both.

I think it would lose a lot of the "you are just as bad as Walker for playing this game" and "is free will really free???" angles

t. Sonic manchild

Sure there is. I want more stories to be told in the setting of Rapture. Stories that wouldn't really work for a game. The plumber who came there thinking it was a wonder town where he could rise in stature by the sweat of his brow, but the city needs plumbers not more architects so he's stuck in that shitty job and the resentment grows. The socialite girl who realises that she's still forced to play by socialite rules in this new wonder city. The world-renowned actress or singer who finds herself having to give her body to the ruler of the city to not get blackballed, same as the world she left behind.

>this would only work if the main appeal of the game was the plot and character
That's definitely not the case with RDR 2.
I also think it can work if the main appeal of the game is the setting and/or concept. Bioshock has the former, Hitman has the latter - as previously mentioned, a movie with people trying to survive 47 as the protagonists is very appealing.

You really think a movie of Arthur would work? He was already insufferably PC in the game do you have any idea how awful a movie version would be?

RDR2 definitely has a fantastic focus on plot and characters, don't know what you're talking about.

The world building and detail is some of the best in any game ever

Cope, pleb

the only great thing rdr2 has going for it is it's cast and plot and side stories, and cinematic elements like visuals, music, cinematpography, and direction/writing, the main bulk of gameplay is objectivley a net negative overall and i've literally 100%-ted the game so i have enough personal experience to make that call. In fact the shooting almost ruins the plot, (Arthur shooting 100 cops makes the narrative hard to take seriously but you have to cuz m a vidya gaemm)

the plot and characters are just standard western achetypes sure it works fine for a gme but a film would come off as massively cliched and well shit, if you want watch hell on wheels sometime, you'd probably like it

>He was already insufferably PC
how? cause he has black friends? cause he helps some suffragettes? you realize woman were able to vote because of the majority of men in the first place

>the plot and characters are just standard western achetypes
wrong, i'd go so far as to say there are more layers going on here than Leone's trilogy easily

>tfw always try to rescue the soldiers that are strung up when you're surrounded by snipers
>tfw never can save them

watch more movies and don't say things like that irl, its cringe enough online

based

don't care what you think is cringe

Feel like bioshock is too big to be anything but a 2 parter, and i would love to see the world.

I just dunno who the hell could actually pull it off. They better be careful as fuck with who they cast as Ryan. Maybe the guy who plays Magneto

No one took Mass Effect up
I’m dissapointed Yea Forums

The only reason that pandemic happens in the first place is because of no regualtions/morals did you forget how Adam was created?

>They better be careful as fuck with who they cast as Ryan.
Use MCU magic to cast Vincent Price.

mass effect can't work as a film, tv at best and even though the game is very progressive it would not be progressive enough

Runescape.

Video games have suceeded film, it's only a matter of time before film realizes it

Yea but a lot of games emulate films by just having tons of cutscenes, except the camera work, editing, and acting are always dogshit.

Rapture fell because once Ryan was in power he betrayed his principles and decided to rule rather than have a wholly free society like he promised. Did you seriously have trouble parsing a fucking videogame story, and then have the audacity of complaining about SJWs?

metal gear 1-3 is more kino than 90% of all films in the last 15 years

I would just want more Bioshock. Preferably a prequel or alternative perspective.

I definitely understand what you mean, but the *focus*, to me, was on the game world itself.
I beat the storyline fairly quickly, and most of the time I spent in-game was finding all the little secrets, mysteries and interactions hidden throughout the world.
I think the first game was far more storyline-focused, in more ways than one. I felt more impacted by its protagonist and his journey than I did by 2's.

BioShock had the best guns and ammo variants, but Bioshock 2 let you dual wield

thats why everyone avoids you irl

Resident Evil 4 would make for a great action movie/soft reboot of the franchise. It would start with Leon, of course, but then you would have flashbacks of him in 2 and his previous relationship with Ada and Krauser would just be implied or just commented upon. Cutting out parts to a reasonable length wouldn't be so hard. Literally more than half the bosses are can cut altogether or are rehashes of previous ones with adding one more or slightly modifying said boss.

>I felt more impacted by its protagonist and his journey than I did by 2's.
you are in the minority, arthur is easily better than john

Sometimes I go on youtube and watch video game movies where the cutscenes have been spliced together to make a film. It actually works really well for the mortal kombat series and the batman arkam asylum and city games.

This bait tastes fucking awful

not everyone is as worried about how people view them as you

It's already been posted. With an image no less. Learn to read a thread before posting.

>I think the first game was far more storyline-focused
because there was less to do in the world and the game was far shorter

t. MUH WAIFU!

Walkthroughs are better since story bits may be dropped during gameplay.
But you’d need to find someone with decent skills in game
There’s a great girl that played kotor. I watched witcher 2 this way

So many kino vistas in ME and ME2.

Attached: 24980_screenshots_2016-01-17_00001.jpg (1920x1080, 337K)

yes

Attached: Mass Effect 2 Screenshot 2019.03.02 - 00.29.19.71.png (1920x1080, 3.44M)

>so many vistas
I laughed

>infinite niggers arrive and derrail the thread
every time

Me2 suicide mission would be a great finale
How should they handle the final boss?
No one picked it up faggot

>you are in the minority
I don't know about that. John has been lauded as a great video game protagonist from day 1. Arthur has a lot of fans too, I know he's popular, but I don't know if I'd say he's more popular than Marston.
For one thing, Marston's journey had a lot more weight to it. A former gunslinger being forced back into the game he'd tried to retire from if he wants to see his family again, going through hell and back for them > outlaw doing outlaw things because his unhinged father figure tells him to. Getting tuberculosis halfway through the game makes everything even more pointless. There's no way the game would have an ending half as poignant as RDR 1's when you know from the start your protagonist will die.

We already have Picard and STD for trashy scifi why would you want more?

I want your typical "immigrant comes to NYC thinking they'll make their fortune" story, except it's a city on the bottom of the sea instead of NYC and there's no way out, so they're stuck working as a waitress or cleaner etc. As a contrast have an upper-class MIT graduate or something who goes to all the 1920s style extravagant parties because he had the money, education and name to capitalise in the city as soon as he arrived. Then the cracks start to appear with the lower-class perspective showing people getting recruited by Fontaine, while the upper-class perspective shows the politics, moral turpitude, drug abuse and terrorist attacks that lay an end to the partying.

A lot of times the uploader will play through the game but disable the HUD as much as possible so you’re not lost but it feels like part of the movie.

>ywn play ME and ME2 for the first time again

Attached: 24980_screenshots_2016-01-19_00001.jpg (1920x1080, 147K)

Sure, yeah, I'm not saying otherwise. The story was just the frosting on RDR 2's delightfully detailed cake. RDR 2 is a better game, but 1's story is better in my opinion.

>talks to any white character
>YOU IGNANT SUMMA BITCH QUIT DRINKIN SO MUCH
>talks to mexican nigger or squanto
>the rest of the group could learn a thing or two from you
Yeah I just don't see it :\

Resident Evil 2 would work, a zombie movie that transitions into more of a slasher(Mr.X as Jason).

Attached: Mrx.jpg (300x168, 4K)

That would be cool, definitely. How would you feel about a GTA IV adaptation?

I fucking hated how little ammo you could save up. If you enjoyed a gun you'd run out of ammo during big fights, but you couldn't save up ammo for the big fights because you could only hold so much ammo. So you'd see all that shotgun ammo just lying there in piles but you couldn't take it until you used some shots up on the nearest enemy.

A simple inventory system would have been a hundred times more enjoyable. Make me choose between plasmids and guns, or which gun, instead of forcing me to switch between the various guns to keep the ammo levels even.

i have the inverse opinion

Attached: Red Dead Redemption 2_20181104202254.jpg (1920x1080, 86K)

>squanto
Woah.

Nothing like space cowboy movie that has Pacific Rim1 levels of Mech porn.

Attached: eI5jc2Y.gif (540x304, 2.99M)

is this bait?
you can literally make beaner jabs at javier if you antogonize him enough retard, in fact you can be nice to every fucking white dude in the game with the greet function, this bait tasted like shit

>2 hours of backtracking, solving puzzles, and finding keys

I love RE2 as a game but I think it'd be hard to translate to film

Both are shittiest shit and not even decent Trek stuff
That requires dedication tho and enormous skill on uploader’s side
I was never bothered by hud, but i’m fucking old so who cares

>not being racist is now pc
wow

>you can be nice to every fucking white dude in the game with the greet function
To be fair, a lot of times the "greet" function, for certain gangmates, was more like teasing. Uncle comes to mind.

Don't know much about Titanfall, but you made me think of a Dead Space movie.

Even if you ignore the backtracking the whole premise of a police station that's got secret passageways that you need to use chess pieces and pieces of statues to get through is completely retarded. And that's all the game story is, really. Gotta find all these pieces to GTFO.

>How should they handle the final boss?
make the human reaper the key to defeating the reapers for the sequel instead of a boss fight

>Uncle comes to mind.
thats cause uncle is a lazy fat drunk, not because he's white, hard to make fun of javier since he actually does work, the worst thing about him is he's a blind idiot

What about turning a videogame into a book? Because Fall Of Reach is unironically a great pulp sci-fi novel

Ummmm so how to ME3?
I want to cry when i think off Citadel
I think i’ll take a week of and play all me’s again

....the book came first, the game retconned it
spoiler, the game was shit

>a Dead Space movie.
>complete with jump scare scene with a sun

Attached: Awkward Aussie.jpg (806x753, 446K)

you don't translate the gameplay user

>hard to make fun of javier since he actually does work
That's already a massive retcon to what his character was like in RDR 1.
I don't buy the "oh, he changed a lot in the few years between the games!" excuse either. He was changed because his character from rdr 1 would be considered offensive.

Xcom movie when?

Attached: xcom_enemy_unknown_01-100038588-gallery[1].jpg (580x388, 65K)

change almost everything

>i'll just make things up that will win me internet points
why?

>That's already a massive retcon to what his character was like in RDR 1.
how? he was a political tool and assasin/outlaw in rdr1, javier, bill also did his fair share for the gang too

I won't claim the story as being anything great. I remember it being sickeningly similar to OT StarWars in a broad sense.
However its setting, universe and aesthetic are wonderful.

That’d make decent movie
Start with EW
Different teams on different assignments, gradually dying over and moving squadmates to one final as attack is being preppared into the main base
Literally GI Joe but with aliens

you can literally make him walk off as you tease him for running away, and one dialogue form arthur implies he should run on home

Literally the worst game in the series.
Even 2 is better than Infinite

2 was the best in terms of gameplay

But how do you even do the story without that? The only reason you hang around the police station is because you can't get out without finding all these fucking keys and emblems and shit to move on. The only reason you don't get the fuck out when Mr X shows up is because you can't until you've solved some weird puzzles to get access to secret passageways.

10 years ago I had 70 dollars to my name, spent 60 on ME2 at release. Would do it again.

ME2 is so good I played ME3 once and never again, any playthrough is 1 and 2 and thats fucking it

But that's a film that wanted to be a book.

A Hitman movie would work best if you don't know you're watching a Hitman movie and you think you're just watching some mob movie where the mobsters (or whatever criminal organisation they choose) are mysteriously dying in seemingly random and unrelated accidents only for the last guy to get a silver baller pressed against the side of his head before the credits roll. Also have some bald dude in the background of every scene and in various disguises of course.

RE lacks a story compared to games, sure. But you only have 90 minutes in film.
Setting up Leon, Claire, Birkin, Ada, Sherry, Marvin, Kendo, Kendo's daughter. Brian Irons, Annette, and any fonder(police or scientists) you want to kill off.
Compared to other zombie films like Dawn of the Dead or Night of the Living Dead, you already have more story. Another good comparison would be Precinct 13, people trying to escape a police station from corrupt police.

The correct answer

I think a good RE movie could be set pre-RE2. Like, it follows a cop right before the zombie outbreak and during the outbreak on RC.

I know it'd probably turn people off since it wouldn't follow one of the main characters, but I think a different perspective of the events would be interesting. You would have to remove the puzzles, though. I don't think they'd add much to the plot.

Videogames will never be art brainlet. They're all just references and homages to films and novels. It's like when retards who ask for a Red Dead Redemption movie when they don't realise RDR is just a compilation of spaghetti western cinema (that actually did it better originally of course). Videogames are fun to play sure but don't pretend they are for adults or have any intrinsic artistic merit. They are just soulless turn of your brain fast food slop

So?

>how?
He's a weasely, spineless, chronically backstabbing asshole who gloats about how much of an asshole he is in a ludicrous mexican accent.
He has nothing at all in common with the noble nice guy he became in 2.

What films is Max Payne the game based on ?
and why is its film adaptation so shit ?

I'm not the retard you're responding to (with his pre-conceived opinions borrowed from boomers who haven't played a videogame since tetris), but Max Payne borrows a lot from noir movie aesthetics, themes and tone, with comic book formatting sprinkled in for style.

its based on Lords and Ladies

for me, it's Halo 2 Movie
very based

Attached: halo 2.png (1600x1200, 2.37M)

>They're all just references and homages to films and novels
you mean like films?

>He's a weasely, spineless,
he was in almost all of the final chapters camp dialogue, his accent is also basically the same tf

For me, it's Arby n the Chief

Attached: Chief.jpg (1024x500, 31K)

>he was in almost all of the final chapters camp dialogue
No? What bits of dialogue are you referring to? I recall none that gave me that impression.
His accent did change, it was much more pronounced in 1. But that wasn't all that changed, it sounded more nasal and, uh, weasely, in 1, and its intonation was all different - everything he said dripped with "I'm a smug, loud, backstabbing coward", while in 2 he sounded like intelligent, calm, cool, collected, and showed himself to be highly loyal.
