>suffers unspeakable horrors of humanity in the Holocaust
>only wants to save his people from the same fate
>gives everything for the cause
Magneto is a true hero and I'm tired of nazis on this board pretending he was ever a villain.
>suffers unspeakable horrors of humanity in the Holocaust
Go back to sucking up the Halo Tv series, Moviebob.
Magneto caused like 90% of the problems for mutants even if he had some valid points
He did do some coups in developing nations in the silver age but who among us.
Magneto is a funny case, in my opinion for, continuity because he is so much more interesting as like the one who went too far but he realized it and is kinda seeking redemption but will also kill/be more extreme. And he’s just a great foil to Xavier.
Anyway whereas if the X-Men are a closed story I can think of like 5 times for him to have died.
30% of mutant problems are related to him, 30% are related to Xavier, the rest is split up
>Anyway whereas if the X-Men are a closed story I can think of like 5 times for him to have died.
Care to elaborate?
there's no way you can place as much blame on Xavier as magneto in terms of the negative perception and persecution of mutants
>ike the one who went too far but he realized it and is kinda seeking redemption
Nigga he ALWAYS ends up backsliding into extremism and he's a faggot who always uses other people's tragedies to justify his own hatred despite doing nothing to help himself
He's reformed now.
That was in the past.
Going from violent Nazi to non-violent Nazi isn't "reforming"
The only thing Magneto took away from the Holocaust is that he wanted to be the guy wearing the jackboots.
He dare you imply that Magneto is a Nazi?!
He is a Holocaust survivor for God's sake!!
Funny how the thing that stuck out the most about this comment wasn't that you called Magneto a Nazi (he is), but the fact that you said he was non-violent.
Fuck, mean to quote But that is a funny point you brought up about him being a Holocaust survivor, because there were Jews that helped the Nazis, so being a Holocaust survivor isn't necessarily a pass some people think it is.
>tries to commit a terror attack against civilians, not even against the nazis that torture him, in the first number
They were complicit in the horrific act because they did nothing to stop it.
There are no innocents. People who do nothing to stop the perpetrators are just as guilty.
>they were mean to Magneto so he should genocide lesser human beings, glory Homo Superior.
It's not genocide.
It's divine punishment.
He didn't even start trying to make valid points until about 20 years into the history of X-Men, he was just an evil terrorist leader who wanted to rule the world. He's single-handedly the reason most of the world found out mutants exist, and the reason people hate them. The X-Men taking him in only made things worse because it erased any distinction that there were "good" or "bad" mutants, they were all on the same side.
>just kill the most powerful member of your race to appease the humies bro
The one part if IvX I liked was when Magneto took out Crystal and the Inhumans that were trying to save mutants from the fart cloud. He was insulted that they would dare "help" their betters.
>Starts acting like a nazi
Shit, X-men predicted modern progressivism.
>takes in Magneto
Why do people hate and fear us!?
>takes in Emma Frost
They're just so ignorant, they can't accept our right to exist!
>put Earth in harm's way just so mutants can have a few million more freaks running around, even forcibly converting people who weren't mutants to begin with
It's humans, humans who are the problem, not us!
Is it not better to save and reform criminals than to kill them?
Why hasn't Magento ever gone "Fuck this" and just killed every German old enough to have fought for Hitler as opposed to regularly going "Fuck this" and trying to kill all humans because some fought for Hitler? Like it was literally the Germans. They did that to you.
Depends on the offenses and whether or not the person can be fixed, not people like Magneto and Emma, unrepentant murderers that still gleefully believe in their goals of racial supremacy.
He did go after the Red Skull once.
>But that is a funny point you brought up about him being a Holocaust survivor, because there were Jews that helped the Nazis, so being a Holocaust survivor isn't necessarily a pass some people think it is.
You mean Jews blackmailed in order to try and save their own lives?
You mean he had a problem people will legitimately trying to help mutants who are not?
>too much of a retard to rescue Anne Frank
>they have to send bloodthirsty hillbillies with muskets to go save her ass and then run a train on her
>Like it was literally the Germans.
You're naive to think that there aren't people out there willing to go through some fucked lengths to save their own skin without being blackmailed, simply because they could just be self-serving and evil. Even if they were blackmailed, they were still selling friends, possibly family, and neighbors out in the hopes to save their own skin, on the slim hope the Nazis would even hold on to their end of bargain.
So being a scared for your life has never made a good person done something bad wind up being blackmailed by evil psychopaths means your own people have to have something wrong with them ? Jews were the innocent party the Nazis were the guilty ones.
Selling people out to save your own life, even if understandable, is still evil as fuck. If you murdered someone, who are also very short on food themselves, because you were starving, you still committed an evil act. All you're doing is rationalizing the act but not really disputing if it's evil or not.
>Jews were the innocent party the Nazis were the guilty ones.
Why the fuck are you trying to conflate my point as a knock against all Jews? My fucking point is that individually speaking, there were most definitely evil Jews that would sell their own out just to get by for one more day. The worst part is that some of them probably lived through the experience by willingly and selfishly sacrificing a bunch of others. There are people like that all over the world, they're objectively evil as shit.
>You mean he had a problem people will legitimately trying to help mutants who are not?
It was part of a larger plan to neutralize the Inhuman royal family, but as he was doing it let them know they had no business saving mutants. That was his job, not theirs.
He killed Red Skull that one time, with Wanda being a moralfag in the background telling him how wrong it was. Even though they were literally standing in the middle of a mutant concentration camp that Skull had been running.
If you look at Magneto's history he easily put and got mutant in more danger multiple times than the cloud did with mutants Supremacy. Also considering Crystal is mutant along with inhuman he's basically saying you cannot save your own daughter.
>give me your jew gold
When was this?
despite making up only 1% of the mutant population.....
wasn't that because he still had xavier's brain in his body though?
What I was getting at is that you can't call going from "attacking innocents for the crime of an accident of birth" to "not attacking people for said birth but never actually making a conscious change in your thinking" reforming. You're still a fucking Nazi just not a streetfighter anymore
>They were complicit in the horrific act because they did nothing to stop it.
So user tell us what YOU done to stop all the horrible shit in the world. Are you trying to stop gun violence in Chicago, the Opiod epidemic in the Midwest, how about the genocide in Myanmar.
i dont know him that much, so i have these basic ass question, how would he treat humans in his society and if it would be negative would he treat his human mother the same?
After the Red Skull owned him with facts and logic
>how would he treat humans in his society
Go read House of M, the answer is pretty much low level Jim Crow
It was Uncanny Avengers, right before AXIS.
Not really. At least not for Wanda, who was narrating. For her it was that the justice system should have prevailed, not Magneto murdering Red Skull. Then she was proven "right", because Schmidt ascended to being the Red Onslaught as a result of Magneto killing him. Remember, this was Rick Remender's counter to his own work in Uncanny X-Force. This was meant to show the right way to do things, whereas X-Force was the wrong way. Wanda and Havok were meant to be the voices of morality and reason.
Ok here's how I'd fix Magneto
>Weaken his magnet powers (no flight cant just no sell shit like Thor's hammer) but explicitly state it makes him extremely long lived
>Instead of a racial supremacist, he's a Carlos the Jackal type hardcore vaguely left revolutionary terrorist similar to leftist/communist revolutionaries of the 70's/80's.
>Him and the Brotherhood of Mutants work as mercenaries for other revolutions gaining funds and a human allies for the cause
>Have him give a shit about oppressed people everywhere instead of JUST mutants, it gives actual greyness to his actions when innocent people end up caught in his terrorist actions
>Throw in Mystique as a CIA glownigger infiltrator
>>suffers unspeakable horrors of humanity in the Holocaust
And then he worked with Apocalypse (an Egyptian ruler who'd enslaved jews) and Sinister (the man who RAN said concentration camp Magneto was at).
What's your fucking point?
>Also considering Crystal is mutant along with inhuman
No she's not, she's just an Inhuman.
My speech-to-text program mist the word daughter in it. Luna has had problems using powers officially in universe because of being mutant and inhuman Quicksilva is not considered a mutant anymore but that haven't technically change her history of being called a mutant it's possible his outside DNA does have mutant potential.
>Wanda and Havok were meant to be the voices of morality and reason.
IIRC in that issue Rogue also made the standard superhero speech about how if you kill the villain you're as bad as him, and readers screeched so much about how that shouldn't apply to a clone of the Red Skull, so Remender had Rogue apologize to Magneto for it later.
Luna isn't a mutant, user. That's been canon since the issue she was born in, and nobody's likely to change that now that her father isn't one either.
how do they get around him being alive then? even if he was born the final year of the war he'd be 77
There was a 70s story where he got turned into a baby, then later restored to "the prime of his life", but the further into the past WWII gets, the more it means 60s-70s Magneto would already be ancient.
You're saying nobody is likely to change that now but it's was never change from her being a mutant. People automatically just assumed because that's not a mutant Luna who's powers and abilities was affected canonically because of being both Inhuman and mutant could not have been amusing anymore They just need a leash in for to be brought up in universe.
>Stop calling this villain a villain just because he kept trying to conquer the world
>Stop calling him a villain because he kept trying to enslave humanity
>Stop calling him a villain because of the millions of people he's killed
>Stop it, he was in the Holocaust
Someone ran the numbers on the Fatal Attactions EMP alone, Magneto has easily killed more people than the Holocaust did.
>Someone ran the numbers on the Fatal Attactions EMP alone, Magneto has easily killed more people than the Holocaust did.
What Magneto do?
Luna was powerless until she got powers from being exposed to Terrigen. She has nothing to do with mutants, and if the Inhumans ever get their own book again they're unlikely to be retarded enough to get any of the characters involved in mutant stuff ever again. I don't even understand why anyone who likes an Inhumans character would want this.
>if the Inhumans ever get their own book again they're unlikely to be retarded enough to get any of the characters involved in mutant stuff ever again. I don't even understand why anyone who likes an Inhumans character would want this.
Because family connection and how much mutant stop auntie Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver has been involved in.
Also Kamala a Inhuman and she's catching a three comic book issue team up with the X-Men soon.
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch aren't mutants anymore. Nobody needs to be doing anything mutant-related with any of these characters anymore. Look at the absolute state of Krakoa, they're all safer being far away from that dumpster fire.
