the set was kino. it descends into absurdity.

kino. overrated, but still kino.

Kino in the lead up, but then becomes disappointing when you realize its just self mutilation. People joke about Lovecraft and people going crazy. That craziness is usually due to actually seeing some otherworldly creatures and how badly they can fuck you up. In this its people just going nuts and cutting each other or themselves up.

fantastic idea but not in execution

I kinda like to pretend its about mankind's first experience with the warp.

Garbage that people pretend to enjoy for the idea

You dont know me!

Great film, mostly because of the concept. cgi doesn't hold today though at all.

kind of interesting but could have been god-tier if not ruined by executives.

Somewhere inbetween. Not kino enough but definitely not garbage.

Honestly it's somehow both

It's massively derivative of other movies but mixes them surprisingly well and has outstanding visuals

It's dumb and edgy and incredibly predictable but it doesn't stop you having a good time. Holds up on subsequent views too.

Good but not great, Paul WS Anderson is a better director than he's given credit for

A fantastic concept, very meh execution. While the sets can be reminiscent of Alien, there's detail chalked throughout. Carried with some memorable acting.

>best thing about the movie is the end credits song

Its kino garbage

DO YOU SEE

This is true, you never actually see anything during the whole movie and if you wanted to believe it was all in their heads it's pretty believable, they were all dealing with their own personal baggage from the beginning of the movie and their deaths were all related to their issues in some way, plus the added stress of being billions of miles from home on a creepy fucking ship with low o2.

The only thing that doesn't really go with that theory is the original crew and why it happened to them too

Interesting concept and good acting from Fishburne, but the visuals have not aged well and ultimately the second half of the movie is not nearly as exciting or scary as it could be. Not really a great movie.

JUSTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN

>it's people just going nuts and cutting each other
Okay so it's in their heads? How do you explain Weir being blown out of the bridge on the Event Horizon and then coming back?

>go through wormhole into another dimension
>unknown radiation there fucks up the moral centers of your brain
>go full psychotic and start killing each other
>ship still saturated with unknown radiation even after emerging back into regular space, which affects arriving rescue ships crew as well

>Parents rent this for the senpai to watch
>we start crying and have nightmares for days because of it

t..thanks dad

That's pretty good

It was kino outside of the weird out of place scene, like the nigger propelling himself or everyone calling the kid "baby bear" or something.

NOW LET ME SHOW YOU

Pure garbage. The set up was so good but it dropped the ball halfway through.

I wonder what the full uncut 130 mins of this movie would be like. It was all set-up until the last 40 mins.
