American Psycho is the only good one out of those and Mary Harron is based, so much so she refused to work with Leo Dicaprio (and this was right after Titanic) because she knew he wasn't right for it. Christian Bale was patrick bateman. Everybody involved with the production was based.

I loved the book as well but the movie is phenomenal and helps with trimming down a lot of the "fat" of the book. The book is a lot better for having some absolutely crazy scenes but not everything in it is necessary.
