the episode with the insane cute waifu girl who wants a heart for her grandpa is technically two patients, although one of them is dead he just wants the heart. there are some episodes that end up having multiple related patients like the one they start by thinking is smallpox and another with two brothers. season 8 has an episode where he's trying to do a heal a live teenager patient while being obsessed with solving the death of a 4 year old kid.
I don't think he ever had two live patients at the same time. obviously, Three Stories has more than one patient, but that isn't at the same time.

I am rewatching the show currently and I would recommend to keep watching until Season 6 finale.
Season 4 is fun with the game for the new recruits and a great last 2 episodes.
Season 5 is over all ok but with a great lead up to the season finale.
Season 6 has a fantastic start with the mental institution and throughout has the rise of Chase as best boy. Also a fantastic last episode.
I am in Season 7 right now and it really is a mixed bag. In my memory Masters was annoying as fuck but now it is interesting to see how a naive girl as her deals with the conflicts she is confronted with.

Also I would recommend to skip all the private life scenes with Taub+his wife and Foreman+13. They are really boring.

A friend from high school ruined this series for me. One day he just started talking about this new show and how cool it was, and how the main character was a badass and whatever, he wouldn't shut up. He started to change and suddenly he stopped hanging out with us and when we asked if there was something wrong he responded with shit like "What do you expect from me?" or "No, thank you". Anyway one day he got to school with a cane and acted all moody when people asked him about it, never really gave an answer. Some time later I'm changing channels and recognize the show. Watched it for a while and realize that he was basically larping as a version of House. To this day I have no solid idea of what the show is about. I've tried watching it on more than one occasion but I just get mad and disgusted for some reason
