My TV fucks up the aspect ratio when I plug the HDMI from my computer in, can't fix it no matter how much I stuff around with the settings. I've just given up now and watch movies from my 18" monitor, it's not that bad desu. If I'm watching from Netflix or Stan I can still use the TV though, but even them I'm too lazy

well I hook my laptop up to the TV and....hey where are you going????

Use the "project" key (F5 or something like that) and choose "second screen only." Fixes that aspect ratio issue like nothing else. You may want a bluetooth mouse handy for when windows asks you to confirm the settings change.

What settings have you tinkered? The TV or the settings in your gpu manager could be causing that.
