He doesn't live with Rei at any point in the show, and he only moves in with Misato at the start of the series. Asuka moves in with them later. Misato is not pining for Shinji's dick, she only makes advances on him toward the end of the series.
He wasn't shell shocked and unwilling to make a move with Asuka, she intimidated him with her issues.

He gets in the Eva constantly. The Get in the fucking robot meme only refers to the movie, not the series as a whole. Part of the reason Asuka starts to resent him is because he has a superior Sync Ratio than her. She starts derisively calling him invincible, because he rapidly becomes the one at the forefront of the Angel defeats. During the Zeruel fight, his dad asks him why he came back and he literally says verbatim, "Because I am the pilot of Eva Unit 01."

There's an entire episode dedicated to him thinking Misato is disgusting and wishing she wouldn't be so brazen. Toji and Kensuke are jealous, but ultimately reassure him that Misato is only so open around Shinji because she cares about him more than others.

The reason he made friends with Toji is because this is not the case. Also, Leliel almost killed him because he charged ahead of the rest of the team like an idiot. Asuka and Rei got eviscerated by Zeruel and he was still going toe to toe with him. The Berserk mode didn't need to save him in that fight because of a lack of skill, but because the Eva Unit ran out of battery. He was doing the best out of the three of them in that fight long after the girls had been laid out.

Except it's the truth. If anything, you're cherry picking by citing his first few sorties as an example of his entire performance history. For the most part, Shinji's fine with getting inside of the Eva. The issue comes up every now and again, but it's not like he constantly refuses to sortie.
