Fuck Otto, Fuck Betz, Fuck Terra, and most of all FUCK YOU
Colton Phillips
Literally who?
Christian Brooks
Nowhere for now, this is the first page. After I'm done with everything (in 5 months or so) I'll probably dump everything here and on my social media (also probably a website once I've figured out how to create it).
Is having rules for a setting pretty bad? Mine is weird, the lore of the world is that seven years ago at 10 PM all of north America got sent into a deep slumber with a few select people being able to stay awake during the night. In the present the world has changed with jobs and other aspects of the world changing to fit this pandemic of a deep sleep. During the hours of 10 PM to 6 AM the sky is warped into weird colors, these weird stones can use the color of the sky to create light constructs which are made into blades etc. During these hours crime organizations do their usual stuff with leagues of assassins and gang wars using those light blades. The blades aren't star wars shit but more like no more heroes where they're ridiculously designed and made from normal everyday products. The rule is that you either fall into the deep sleep or you're one of the rare few that stay awake during it. Is this retarded?
Adam Davis
reminder that all webcomic (or normal comic) creators are up their own asses and usually try and layer their work with retarded philosophical shit and other pretentious garbage.
Jayden Barnes
Kind of but also sounds like if it's done well enough no one will care how retarded it is. What is the actual story focusing on?
Sebastian Wilson
As long as you consistently apply the rules, and if they are simple enough to get across to the audience then go for it. While you're at it be ready for some "UM ACTUALLY" comments cause alt hist is a rabbit hole all its own. Also this
that's humans in general user, that makes comic artists the most human of us all!
Ayden Cooper
Its about this wagie who was forced to work longer because of a huge rush, he finds out he can stay awake during the deep sleep, he finds a B movie actor killing a weird lovecraftian humanoid alien creature. Its a "a person saw this and I can either try to make them think this never happened situation or explain it and see if they can help" of course the B movie actor decides to explain that this alien is somehow connected to a cold war experiment that involves the president who killed his master. It would have aspects of samurai history while having crime and huge oddball characters like NMH or Anarchy reigns. It would be like a huge mystery involving leaders of crime groups, people who can move through dreams and other oddballs. Id rather write about weird shit than to be boring. This is just a secondary comic concept of mine.
Thomas Kelly
Bump. Will return with work later
Eli Richardson
I have NOTHING important to say with my work.
William Hill
Don't worry, you can still write capeshit!
Liam Nguyen
I’ve given myself three months to become a famous webcomic maker. What do I do?
Jeremiah Williams
Make your webcomic part of your manifesto before the shooting spree, guaranteed you'll get your 15 minutes of fame
Anons should go cruise the comics at Kickstarter. Apparently, if you are willing to draw naked tits, you can make money. Quality is a secondary issue. Maybe tertiary.
Carson Sanchez
Your art is so great, I wouldn't care if there was a deeper message or not.
Charles Turner
Still working on character concepts. Hope you like tomboys with pitchforks.
>Alt question: Do you still have the first drawing of your main protagonist? Post it! I do, but I'll need some time to dig it up.
>Id rather write about weird shit than to be boring. That's the way to go, I say. Everything mainstream has been so distilled down into a gray paste these days that us indies might as well go for broke.
>reminder that all webcomic (or normal comic) creators are up their own asses and usually try and layer their work with retarded philosophical shit and other pretentious garbage. I would never do that.
Anyway, this is for a comic idea floating in my head for the past few years. It's about an alt hist 1990s where a portal to Hell is opened in Washington DC and demons with flying surfboards come out and a crooked senator is trying to find military applications for the whole thing. The story will be told from the POV of these two demon teens and will be half action-adventure and half slice-of-life. The S.O.L. parts will be on par with something Larry Clark would put out in terms of how frank and honest it is about being a teen in the 90s. Nothing philosophical or pretentious at all.
Id rather write capeshit than make dark fantasy comic with a bunch of hecking cute girls based on my favorite manga I read in 7th grade #30000890 Thats fucking awesome user.
Liam Adams
How do I come up with SFW ideas?
Making NSFW stuff is a thousand times easier but I don't want to just make wank material.
Blake Cook
Make nsfw thing, delegate sex scenes to off-camera
Felt bad because Majo is scratched to hell, so did a solo. G’s style is so wildly different from mine that the transition feels strange. I’m a slave to the undo button, so trad is never clean for me.
Yeah this guy is kinda getting me mad, i wanna read the book already.
Brayden Howard
>Dad asks if I still do animation after hearing about people making good money off of YouTube >Tell him I just do comics now in the little free time I have >mfw he asks to see my work I don't draw porn or anything too offensive or whatever, but does anyone else not like showing off work to others irl? I have a few friends that I show them off to, the ones who are also into art and cartoons, and one of them helps me with writing sometimes. But I don't tell my other friends about my work, doesn't seem like the kind of thing they'd be interested in
Okay what if instead of a comic about a boy and his raccoon girl or a girl and her pet raccoon it was about a raccoon girl and her pet raccoon? The only other options would involve a boy being a pet to a girl or vice versa and that would be weird.
>dark fantasy comic with a bunch of hecking cute girls based on my favorite manga I read in 7th grade #30000890
Is this an actual thing because the only one I can think of that fits this bill is gunnerkretiesgj court
Connor Murphy
Ever seen Dark City?
So what's the demon world like in your comic? They got sinners down there boiling away in pots?
Jacob Campbell
Its hard to really write stuff to do in a capeshit setting. I have tons of story ideas with the characters and their arcs but theres nothing to really do. Its not your usual new york huge ass city but something more midwestern like a capital midwestern city. Its still big enough to have apartment complexes, tall buildings but it can also have small suburban houses etc.
Jackson Ward
No it's not, you just suck.
Julian Morgan
>So what's the demon world like in your comic? They got sinners down there boiling away in pots? It's a big crazy city in an endless desert (Limbo). The kids attend a demonic middle school where they learn to use their abilities. There are mentions of a greater realm beyond, including other cities and locations from Dante's Inferno (implied to be an actual historical event in this world)
Human souls are kept in big Matrix-like power plant where each subjected to an ironic Hell based on what they've done to get sent here. We learn in a history lesson that the classic fire-and-brimstone was the ancient torture method, but the technology has since advanced. At one point Sam causes a breakout and they spend an arc hunting down escaped ghosts to get them back into the plant. Occasionally with ethical questions as to whether it's right to send them all back or attempt to help them permanently escape Hell.
Jack Edwards
wow nobody's ever ripped off dante's inferno before you jusy know this is going to be originaland compelling
Juan James
>Alt question: Do you still have the first drawing of your main protagonist? Post it!
Sounds cool! I like the idea of Hell upgrading their tech.
Christian Cooper
What do you guys think of a superhero called Date Rape that can make liquids psychoactive and sedative?
Nolan Powell
I believe this weepy hero was named something like Super J, but I’m ashamed to say I forgot to take screenshots of the requests themselves and only took the photos. He and Maestro can mourn together.
i'm the same way. you kind of bare your soul in your art, it's like being naked. but it doesn't feel weird being naked with other artists because we've all got the same parts, nothing to be ashamed of
Joshua Cooper
Like, any liquid? What happens if he touches the oceans?
Robert Morgan
>because we've all got the same parts yeah bro we're all the same here
Jason Gray
In the same way, I can’t recall this fellow’s name, but the requester mentioned that he was partially inspired by St. Moses the Black. I was so enamored but his face that I didn’t leave room for the signature bunny slippers.
not everyone's dick looks the same bro they are all unique and beautiful!
Alexander Scott
Let's say they excrete very small amounts of the substance through their skin - enough to spike a punch bowl but not enough to poison a water supply unless they were floating dead in it or something.
Wyatt Wright
Ahhhh I love it sooo muuuuuuch. Thank you a ton man, really love your style, and its especially fitting for the character. I hope the trail is treating you well
Middle right Sapphie was cuter than current Sapphie
Aaron Ramirez
>I had an idea to make these threads have more discussion about each others comics Don't bother.
Parker Lopez
>is anyone interested in having their comic reviewed by me Just start reviewing comics you’ve already read. If you only wait for people to ask you won’t get much. Look at what happened to Donald
Jonathan Nelson
>Look at what happened to Donald He took his BS in marketing and fucked off back to his Starbucks job?
Dylan Jones
Slowpoke was one of his larger reviews, it was the massive thesis of Saint, but it wasn’t tiny. And most liked his work
Christian Brooks
the legs were heavily rejected by the focus group i will bother with whatever i see fit well i kind of am looking for the next comic to read desu
