the issue is that these structures are forced upon the characters essentially at birth. the main character apparently is very intelligent but can't go to college because he's poor, so he can't make money.
theyre all just interchangeable actors that are parasites in their own ways in large part because the system they are a part of encourages it.
in the end the main character thinks he can beat the system by being rich, but in reality thats just the fuel that maintains the system in the first place.
the other moral of the story is that the sister is very cute.
