Why the fuck are movies nowadays so fucking easy to nitpick? Their logic always falls apart in 2 seconds.
>Suspects that the guy is invisible from the start, doesn't try to crazily flail around a small ass room when she KNOWS the guy is right there. >girl didn't wonder how tf could blondie punch her when she was at least 3 feet away from her >why didn't she immediately send the pictures of her and nigress to boss nigger as soon as he found them? They were literally proof that at least someone was in fact stalking them, he didn't even have to be invisible but it still confirmed there was a stalker on the loose. >If she knew he was invisible why didn't she order thermal goggles or some shit like that with the 100k she had just been given? >why did the guy have 2 suits? >how did the guy reach the beach house with no car at the same time as she did? they were in SF suburbs, the beach was like 1 hour away >why didnt she immediately take a fuckload of pictures and videos of the laboratory and the stealth suit and immediately sent them to boss nigger? >how did the guy know the sisters would meet at the chinese restaurant? >that chinese restaurant was fancy as shit, even the shitty burger joint in my town has like 3 security cameras covering every angle of the place, surely the 5 stars restaurant must have had like 5 cameras able to catch a floating knife slitting the sister's throat.
Overall entertaining, but even hollow man had less plot holes than this thing.
I guarantee you that one of my scripts wouldn't be so fucking riddled with plotholes and inconsistencies. These things are abundant in current movies.
Nolan Sanchez
> it's another episode of Retards Who Overuse the Word "Plothole"
Easton Morgan
I can excuse all of that but >sitting on the floor of the hospital >gun 1 foot away from her >just watches a 3-minute fight sequence without attempting anything but shouting "behind you!" a couple times >only once he knocks out / kills all the guards and runs away does she grab the gun and chase after him, shooting wildly into a stairwell
Evan Cook
Why the fuck did she just lie there while wave after wave after wave after wave of cops died? Why did the cops keep coming in groups of 2? Why didnt the cops at the door see what was happening on the cameras? Why didnt the suit the brother had after it was damaged stay damged when he went to kill the black family? How could they dismiss camera footage at the restaurant? How could the pills miraculously fall out of the bag? Why couldnt the BF pick a better looking girl to obsess over? Goddamn Moss is fucking gross
Xavier Williams
i never watched the movie but a cup of all purpose flour would counter his invisibility
Jacob Powell
Why stalk a ugly roastie?
Jayden Taylor
>getting this worked up about a cheap remake of a 20 year old kevin bacon movie for fuck's sake
Caleb Butler
>How could the pills miraculously fall out of the bag? What are you talking about here?
Lucas Moore
She throws paint at him on an occasion and he washes it off
Caleb Walker
>the entire attic sequence >that fucking paint bucket scene
this was also kinda dumb. was his suit air-tight? how did it not stick to his skin beneath and see tiny floating paint particles? if his suit WASNT air tight why the fuck did he recoil from the mace???
also its insane how quickly he washed off that paint jesus fuck. not only that but I think the ONE request she coulda made would be for a thermal camera to be added to her cell or for thermal cameras to be set up. she shoulda begged cop chad for that one small favor. the other thing thats hilarious.
one the other hand I wonder wtf happened to the guy who had the original stealth suit that she shot to death. surely they had some science dudes come over and go HOLY SHIT. THIS FABRIC CAN FUCKING TURN INVISIBLE?!!! AND YOU SAID THIS WOMAN WAS SCREECHING ABOUT A INVIS GUY CHASING HER?!!! I assume tech like that would go under federal investigation or get siezed by gov and put towards military no? how would a world where the american military have octo camo work?
Hudson Evans
I liked that and the restaurant cutting scene. I didnt see it coming. Still I think they did a terrible job with his personality at the end of the movie? Like, oh hes calm and collected now that he knows shes having his baby.
Jaxson Ross
I know this is bait but those movies have nothing in common
Angel Martin
The dazapan or whatever that fell out of her bag in the beginning. Unless there was a tiny hole it shouldnt have been possible
dude what? he was playing her. could you not tell that he just couldnt wait to get back to beating the shit outta her again? he pretend faked his attitude so she would come crawling back to him and they could be a "family" again. he thought she actually believed that it was his brother not him and had come to make amends.
>my hands are shaking, you know you are the only person in this world who gets to see my hands shake right?"
dude was a manipulator through and through and she fucking knew it.
the better question though is why the fuck the cop guy looked all pissed when he realized she killed him or how the fuck did he not see it coming? dude fucking stalked you and your daughter tried to have you both killed and ur pissy that he got his throat slit? fucking stupid.
Robert Parker
Yeah it's a good idea to shoot at an invisible dude while you probably have no training and he's fighting a bunch of guys. Can't go wrong.
James Wright
His personality just seemed really sloppy near the end. It was obvious she didnt believe it. I was expecting him to already know that the 2nd suit was missing
James Ward
my guess is that he was out of the house for most part and had a base of operations somewhere else (the house was covered and wrap and mostly evacuated for the most part except the dog for some stupid reason)
or he thought his brother had taken it. after all they were both in this together somehow taking turns wearing the suit or someshit. Maybe he had three suits?
Bentley Richardson
Him being calm is such a dumb criticism. Dude is a fucking manipulative psychopath.
Ayden Ross
>>Suspects that the guy is invisible from the start, doesn't try to crazily flail around a small ass room when she KNOWS the guy is right there. It's a full grown, he'd just knock her lights out and disappear again
Dominic Allen
Its an "user didn't pay attention to the movie episode"
>Suspects that the guy is invisible from the start, doesn't try to crazily flail around a small ass room when she KNOWS the guy is right there. That's an insane assumption and she knows it and she's terrified of finding out it was real. Even then he'd just punch her and run. It doesn't prove anything >girl didn't wonder how tf could blondie punch her when she was at least 3 feet away from her Girl was looking down and they were sitting right in front of each other >why didn't she immediately send the pictures of her and nigress to boss nigger as soon as he found them? They were literally proof that at least someone was in fact stalking them, he didn't even have to be invisible but it still confirmed there was a stalker on the loose. Because she just got attacked by an Invisible Man and ran >If she knew he was invisible why didn't she order thermal goggles or some shit like that with the 100k she had just been given? Timing. The timeline between her confirming it and her getting committed is super short >why did the guy have 2 suits? Why wouldn't he make multiple? >how did the guy reach the beach house with no car at the same time as she did? He had resources. He still had money, his same cellphone, his lawyer brother. You think he didn't have a car stashed nearby? >why didnt she immediately take a fuckload of pictures and videos of the laboratory ? Because the dog freaked out, tipping her off that he was there >how did the guy know Gee user, how would an invisible optics expert go about installing cameras/tracking on a woman who doesn't know he exists >that chinese restaurant was fancy as shit, even the shitty burger joint in my town has like 3 security cameras covering every angle of the place If they checked. Its something that would come up in a trial if there was one. Also depends on camera quality.
But I'll give you the last question. That requires a little more extrapolation.
Gavin Scott
the it would literally be on camera. like when she was talking to the two cops.
Adam Bailey
So how much was the brother and how much was Adrian?
Matthew Watson
Wouldve been a kino film if the entire time it was her killing people and causing all the bullshit and it was because she got PTSD from being in that relationship with piece of shit dude. And it was her who killed him and scattered his remains in several different areas instead of him just disappearing.
Jeremiah Hill
People being stupid/freezing in a moment of terror is not a plothole >Why didnt the suit the brother had after it was damaged stay damged when he went to kill the black family? I'd guess different suits. No way they had time to meet up and swap >Why couldnt the BF pick a better looking girl to obsess over? Because a 10/10 would be harder to control the way he wants. This is the dumbest question anyone asks about this movie
What’s a better word for “main character has the cognition and problem solving capability of a child with Down’s syndrome” and “things happen to drive the plot with no feasible explanation for how they happen.”
I’m not even OP I really just want to know what the word to use is.
Nolan Adams
Majority of it was Adrian (most of the first part) everything after the car was prob the brother. he rung up his brother then went to go fake his own kidnapping in case anything went wrong
Brandon Johnson
PTSD
Lincoln Lewis
"female" is more succinct
Josiah Perez
>That's an insane assumption and she knows it and she's terrified of finding out it was real. Even then he'd just punch her and run. It doesn't prove anything She literally says multiple times that the guy found out how to be invisible. First incident she has, the first reaction she gets is to throw a blanket at a chair she suspects he's sitting on. Punch her and run? Yeah, maybe, if she was alone. But there's 2 other occasions where she is with 2 other people in the room. >Girl was looking down and they were sitting right in front of each other She literally wasn't looking down down, she had her in her field of view, and she was still far away for a punch. >Because she just got attacked by an Invisible Man and ran no lmao she finds the cellphone in the attic BEFORE being attacked and spends there around 5 minutes before going down and facing him at the ladder. >Timing. The timeline between her confirming it and her getting committed is super short She knew he was invisible since she had the blanket incident. >Why wouldn't he make multiple? Why would he keep the other one in plain sight? The cops ransacked the place, surely they'd like to check the laboratory. >He had resources. He still had money, his same cellphone, his lawyer brother. You think he didn't have a car stashed nearby? Yeah ok but how did he manage to know she'd go to his house? >Because the dog freaked out, tipping her off that he was there She was there for like 10 minutes, she examined the suit and had enough time to take it off. She should have had her cellphone out the whole time. >Gee user, how would an invisible optics expert go about installing cameras/tracking on a woman who doesn't know he exists Are you fucking retarded? She was in a fucking random uber >If they checked. Its something that would come up in a trial if there was one. Also depends on camera quality They would immediately check for the footage in an incident like that before committing anyone to a mental hospital
Isaiah Thomas
I guess another question is, what did the brother have to gain from going along with the plan?
>I'd guess different suits. No way they had time to meet up and swap Exactly So there would have to be 3 suits. 1 damaged for brother, 1 for the bf, and the last 1 was hidden by ugly GF Now, he didnt notice it missing when theres a fucking mannequin in the middle of the room is beyond me
Evan Morris
>thought sister and black man were in a relationship
Am I the only one? The moment the sister opened up her door for "her" place I was confused.
Who was the black man?
James Williams
Another thing I forgot to mention How did the BF not notice the uber guy parked in front of his house? If he did then why didnt he kill him so she couldnt get away
Isaac Davis
>why the fuck the cop guy looked all pissed when he realized she killed him or how the fuck did he not see it coming?
Because he realized she had used him to give herself an alibi, and made him an unwitting accessory to murder, you moron. He didn’t like being used and lied to even though he understood why she did it. So now he has to lie and say it was a suicide instead of cold blooded murder.
Brandon Wilson
Yeah who wants coherent writing lmao what a dork
Luis Allen
If you're going to be nitpicky then you'd nitpick how the suit doesn't even make sense you retard.
Joseph Bell
So she basically acted exactly like her ex bf?
Ayden Ortiz
I haven't seen this but I assume it boils down to Black man good, white woman good and stronk, white man crazy and bad?
Jayden Peterson
The movie established that Adrian had been playing the same manipulation game with his brother since they were little. He was clearly controlled by his brother the same way Moss was before she escaped, and that most likely made the brother to resent her as well, because he could never do the same, he was more tied to him and his money than she was.
James Miller
Leigh Whannel is fantastic at pacing and suspense/drama. He's terrible at actual story. Always has been, always will be.
Cooper Garcia
Damn its almost like you did watch it. But the black dude does get the shit beat out of him by white dude. Also white dude beats the little black girl too
Logan Cooper
Do they explain why, when someone was there with her, like in the trailer when that person shows up and she is all pointing at an empty looking chair exclaiming "someone is there!", why she couldn't just like throw some powder or sauce or something on invisible man to reveal him?
Benjamin Cruz
To a degree, yes.
Ian Jenkins
I unironically liked how the suit gave people super strength.
Adam Phillips
I feel a little cheated because the movie was really well hyped but I dont think it was anything worthy of praise or scary. The original had a better vibe and hollow man is way scarier. Im sure normies will love it though.
Brandon Evans
They do have a scene where it’s night and she thinks he’s sitting on a chair and she throws a sheet over it and nothing’s there.
Andrew James
I like how the suit made Predator noises when it went in and out. Also made the cops really dumb. Like, ive never seen a worse scene in newer hugh budget movie with godawful acting than those cops storming in 2 after 2 with no brains
Gabriel Garcia
>person who is stalking you is invisible >look inside car >phew nobody is there lol
Logan Ross
They took out the seeing him in the shower steam scene and the blanket being tossed over him
Noah Martin
>She literally says multiple times She gets called crazy for it. Convinced to go back to bed once. The next time her witnesses are running from her. next, when she's being interrogated by the cops? That's when she's going to stumble around? > punch. She wasn't that far away. She wasn't looking at C. >no lmao she finds the cellphone in the attic The cellphone is proof already. But survival trumps proof. She just confirmed her psycho ex is stalking her while invisible after he was supposed to be dead. You going to stop in a life/death situation to start texting? >She knew he was invisible since she had the blanket incident. Yeah and 3 days later she's in a mental hospital >Why would he keep the other one in plain sight? The cops ransacked the place, surely they'd like to check the laboratory. Why would he keep an invisible suit that no one can see in a locked vault that his brother maintains for him? Why would the cops ransack his lab over his suicide? Why would they force their way into a locked roon that's visibly empty. >Yeah ok but how did he manage to know she'd go to his house? Her cellphone. He had plenty of time to figure ways to track her especially after he obviously prepared ahead of time >She was there for like 10 minutes, she examined the suit and had enough time to take it off. She should have had her cellphone out the whole time. Fair point. But it would have been a video of an empty house and then a picture of a suit that was the proof before her life was in danger. Also she likely hadn't slept in a day at that point >She was in a fucking random uber With the right planning he could be tracking her 1000 different ways. he was probably surveilling the sister which C alludes to in the beginning (he knows where you live, he'll follow you to me). But again you should try paying attention user >They would immediately check for the footage Fair. Could be shitty cameras but I'll give you its an unaddressed point
Tyler Hill
Wasn't it just being held on the clip thing? He likely did notice. He just was waiting to real her back in to find it
What about the scene at like 1:34 here? There are 2 other people there and she says there is someone in the empty chair. Does she try and prove it? Throw something at him in front of them? Or does she and she is wrong he isn't there? Or is she like scared he would attack those 2, so doesn't, even though she still tries to give away he is there?
Noah Sanchez
The scene was cut out. Like the shower handprint one.
Samuel King
Oh I see. So she is never in a room with people that Mr.Invisible man is in? Or at least that situation and she knows he is there and where he is?
Noah Edwards
I was expecting her to put it on the moment she found it. Would have saved like another hour
Jason Reed
why didn't they pick someone who wasn't extremely ugly so they could get the coomer croud?
Carter Martinez
I fucking swear Ive never heard or seen of Moss before but I hopeI never will again.
Juan Jenkins
What are your favorite movies, user?
Gabriel Rivera
I can't wait for Mike and Jay to give this glowing reviews because they have a hardon for schlock and horror, respectively.
Christian Myers
Haven't seen this movie yet. Is it really just an invisible suit? Seems kind of lame compared to the original.
Grayson White
The suit can turn invisible. When its not it looks like camera eyes all over it Huge let down compared to the original or Hollow man
Lincoln Scott
im tired of seeing this ugly roasties face on the screen is scientology really that powerful that they force her into all sorts of movies and shows?
Gavin Edwards
>is scientology really that powerful that they force her into all sorts of movies and shows? Money can get you whatever you want if you have enough of it.
Wyatt Myers
No,there are. But she never knows where exactly he is and comes off crazy when she starts talking about him. Like you would in any normal situation. Like when he suddenly hits the kid and everybody in the room obviously thinks it was her.
Benjamin Adams
>muh thermal camera
thermal won't penetrate certain common plastics
Elijah Torres
I Truly thought that twist was coming, and actually ended preferring the way they did it
Matthew Cooper
Way too cliché.
Jordan Butler
>the suit isn't skin tight >plastic doesn't absorb heat k
Nolan Sullivan
Huh, that's what I was thinking to myself the entire time I watched the final product
Aaron Sanders
Cops are retarded in real life
Adam Rivera
Because movies are created with "the agenda" in mind first, the story and other film elements are unimportant.
Josiah Stewart
It might have been somewhat generic now, but relying on a cliché as fuck twist ending would have ruined the entire movie. The movie we got now is entirely okay, and what props it up is the novelty of doing it from the victim POV instead of following an invisible dude around.
Ryan Bell
I feel like Hollow Man is the median between this movie and the original. Where in the OG Griffin is all about the big picture. Fuck other people, they’re nothing to me whatever. But this new Griffin is straight fixated on one singular person. Caine is like a mix because he still has desires tied to those he actually knows but still understands that they’re only the beginning, and there are much bigger things to be done. All in all, this new one isn’t bad, I quite enjoyed it, but I really wish we could’ve gotten a modern version of the absolute loon that is OG Griffin.
I think in the post modern world nobody really thinks a guy who is invisible would want to take over the world or whatever. We all know they would just become a serial sex criminal.
