plan on watching kubrick stuff soon since I've only seen the shining, also want to see more korean/japanese cinema, lynch films, carpenter films, come and see, coen bros joints, also haven't seen many horror films
das boot looks great. should I watch directors cut or theatrical?
really bad and gay save for a few films
decent dadcore list
generic enough to be agreeable
imdb top 250 on shuffle mode
Kubrick's hit or miss imo, Barry Lyndon is a fantastic black comedy while Strangelove is this wonderfully acted and directed black comedy that's so fucking boring to watch because the story can be written out in ten words or less. You know exactly where the film is going and just slowly watch it get there. Lynch reuses a lot of themes and ideas, he isn't bad but he's massively overrated imo. My favorite foreign film is One-Armed Swordsman but a lot of the new action films the gooks make are great, stuff like Killzone 2, The Raid series (I prefer 2), The Man From Nowhere was pretty good, not new but Hard Boiled is fantastic, as is Police Story (I'm the poster above a couple posts). If you want to get in to Carpenter, I'd highly recommend Halloween, that ticks your horror box too; Most of the Friday the Thirteenth films are great, Texas Chainsaw Massacre is great, I really like Scream. I think Coen brothers have flashes of brilliance and you could gleam the entirety of said brilliance just watching Fargo and No Country. Good luck move watching friendo
kek
I've only seen directors cut, idk what they cut and there's probably a bit of fat that can be chopped out but nothing that stopped me from enjoying the shit out of the film. Very tense movie and that tension never really lets up even with the long runtime
>>year of the dragon, hard boiled, kickboxer, one-armed swrodsman, police story
based
not sure wtf is up with big hero six, but there's some fun stuff here. props for bvs
tcsm is the fucking goat, nice list
vascilating between based and cringe user. but more good stuff than bad

Thank you, brother. I have been watching so much nu-Hollywood shit recently that these sound very appealing.
>gay dragon shit
the fuck
>generic enough to be agreeable
I agree, it's my real list though. Any recs?
Now that's a list. No filler.
Mad Max is one of my favorite films and I had never seen The Road Warrior until this year, kinda hard to believe but it's true. After years of hearing about how The Road Warrior was better I was supremely disappointed. I really didn't even build it up that much in my mind but holy shit it's just an awful movie all around.
Godfather 2 and Sunset Blvd are good. Rest are trash.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it awful, it sets out to do what it does very well imo, I just think the pre-apocalyptic world of Mad Max is way cooler, and the first is written, cast, acted, and directed better.
Army of Shadows
Spoorloos
Paths of Glory
Good Time
Animal Kingdom
Aguirre
Naked
Boogie Nights
House Party
I don't know. Max is a shell so I stop caring about him. I definitely didn't care for the good guys or the bad guys. The boomerang kid is embarrassing. Humungous isn't even as intimidating as Nightrider or ToeCutter. The recap in the beginning is trash too. I suppose it's not an awful film but it's a 1 1/2 stars out of 5 for me.
if your post is just text only, it will be ignored.
I've gotten multiple replies with text only posts you retard. And you've just got one too

Gay
rate my tastee
At least it has some uniqueness to it.
>wishlist
so you're a poorfag, that's unfortunate
I have too many hobbies so jumping from one to another takes time. I will get to it eventually. You can add Absentia to the list of haves, that one was also kind of hard to track down and had to pay the $20 asking price. Next is Ink from 2009. Just because they are on my wishlight though doesn't mean I will end up buying it, i would say about half on there are there just for the sake of being there and that if i find them for cheap I will buy it.
thank you user
Poorfags would never buy the steelbook version of Metropolis or the Arrow release of Phenomena but that's just me, spending over $10 on a bluray is utterly retarded.
meh

keep posting so i can shit all over you guys this is fun.
You blew it with Lebowski, Drive, Wes, Eggers shit, Eternal Sunshine of the Reddit Mind, City of God and Whiplash. Everything else is acceptable.
i bought it used for 40 something last i remember and phenomena when it was released i bought it for 60 something last i remembered its way more than that now.
i could buy all the movies on the list it would just be a huge waste of money because if you wait long enough you can find them for cheap. if i had to buy them for the markup chances are its rare. like the johnny johnny mnemonic steelbook. i got that for $30 new from germany but i see people selling it now for $90., literally sold for 90 dollars. crazy
rude
plenty of room for disagreement but I will agree that Blade Runner is fucking garbaged and Robocop is based. I think if I had to pick an opinion I disagree with most it would be TCM overrated. Maybe by film nerds but most normies rank it pretty low in their list of favorite spooky films
I've realized that my 4 stars probably represent me better.
so being a "poor fag", which film on here would you buy next?
>Tim Burton Collection
Massive cringe
i know it was gifted along with the predator.
Didn’t you just post this on the other thread
>not liking the big lebowski or for that matter any of the other great films
gas yourself kike, learn to enjoy life
Any movie that reminds me of jews I will pass up on. The problem is so many of these films exist. It doesn't have to be outright jewish, what im saying is that they use jewish tricks in the film to make it good and its obvious which films use these tactics, like using jazzy music, its more now than back in the 80s but it was still apparent there they just are more open now. Just hunky dory bullshit with a sprinkle of degeneracy. Just being a rich movie and trying to pass it off as something people can relate to is very jewish to me now and its never wrong when i go look at who produced it or wrote the damn script.
I literally said everything else was fine. The mere fact that you have the aforementioned trash movies invalidates anything you have to say, especially having Lebowski at #1, that's disgusting. And I definitely hate jews more than you do buddy.
You have pretty shit taste user

0/10 kys pleb
love YOTD too.
Good man, any recommendations for me friend?
I dont watch too many films, any recommendations?
Angel Heart never gets enough love. Plus that sex scene is top notch
I love how it starts off tame, but erotic, then becomes violent, then you get the cut ins of what appears to be people writhing sexually in hell or in some hedonist society, it manages over such as short period of time to entice then absolutely repulse you. Probably the most disturbing sex scene ever filmed, and far more creative and insightful than something schlocky like a rape scene
No. Don't tell me what to do, you fag.
>For context, I like getting an emotional reaction from films.
Same. I always appreciate a movie way more if it resonates with me in a personal way beyond just being "well made" or "good."
>Black Comedies
check out After Hours
Midnight in Paris is probably the comfiest movie ever made
