That ship never bothered me since I don't consider any of Disney Wars to be canon to the rest of Star Wars anyways, so they might as well be married.
The problem is that Disney still completely shat on shippers by killing off Kylo. The better ending would have been that he survives and Rey takes his name to become "Rey Solo". That would have satisfied the shippers and would have also prevented the "Rey Skywalker" backlash from other fans.

Reylo is canon and one of the only good things about NuWars. The idea of it actually ties in well with the other trilogies. Kylo is an actual Skywalker, so there's that too.

I agree about the rest. Ben should have lived and Rey should have married him legally/formally as well and taken his name. They made Reylo canon, but in a way that manages to piss of Reylos because they killed Ben and Reylo can't have sex or an actual life together.

I'm sure Reylos will make ForceGhost Ben/Rey sex fanarts/fanfics, but the canon obviously don't want them to have sex because it's "impure" or something.

Rise of Kylo Ren is pretty good for the most part and it's selling really well, cope. Disney/LFL killed their only new cashcow when they killed Kylo.

All she has to do is pull a new Force trick out of her Mary Sue ass and bring her husband back to life. Simple.

There was never a "Palpatine bloodline". It was just Palpatine being a shitter and then dying. Rey was fine as a nobody because it was never really her story, not the overarching story anyway. She's not a Skywalker. It should have been Kylo's story. Rey's journey was supposed to be about becoming an adult and building a family of her own with Ben. They even address this in the novel. Ben is the person she was having visions of that were mentioned in the TFA novel. The "voice" that never left her all alone her whole life. She was part of a dyad the whole time. It's like they kept the original idea of him being her belonging, but shit on her story anyway. She even says that half of her is missing and it feels like her "oneness" was ripped away from her. Like their bond feels like "coming home". Yet they still try and sell it as a happy ending and complete character arc for her. "it's okay because Ben will always be with her still!" even though he's dead. And she wanted a life with him. They just didn't give a shit about either Ben or Rey with that ending.
