The Matrix series is original and creative. There's nothing quite like it and one of the most influential movies of the Century. The only people talking shit about the Wachowski sisters are the "MUH TRANNY" transphobic comments which is way more likely to stray away with any topic about trans people in general.

Because it essentially gives the studio a baseline of income they can play with risk free, it's fucked.
There's been less original movies in the last decade than ever before by a huge margin.
All the original concepts and risk taking is low-mid budget films now.

Yea OP here. I also love the Matrix, I just want a clue as to whats going to happen. The third movies conclusion was not satisfying with the machines left alive. A lot of times they bring back movies so the people can work.

I'm excited. I enjoy the worldbuilding and lore of the Matrix franchise, including the second two films. But bringing Keanu back and having it be a sequel, instead of a prequel or reboot, is really the reason why I have hope.

The animatrix was good, so Keanu isnt a dealbreaker
