I agree with the sentiment that original looks should be used more without irony, but that first one with the proto Iron Man suit wasn't framed as a joke whatsoever.

You're undermining your own argument.

perfect.

Iron Man has always used to comic looks. You fucked up the pic with that.

The only ones used as a joke were the Netflix shows
Iron-Man is easily up there with the least comic accurate costumes, not one of his suits is skin tight

Extremis is literally in his skin

>nonsense from 50 years ago when these things were childrens magazines need to be portrayed with respect because... BECAUSE!

Attached: SoimRoberts.jpg (930x654, 328.83K)

Its almost like comics are for children or something.

>were

yall niggas trippin

Looks like your average MCU suit

aquaman costumes are based

No they would make a joke about how the bowl helmet was dumb and and give him some generic scooba mask

Nah they stuck a good balance.

What is the Hawkeye one from? I don't recall seeing it in his show.

This. It's the way to do it.

>lets make accurate costumes in the cheapest way
>meanwhile

I can never watch that movie again

youtube.com/watch?v=D2T5FRPZ5Ug

Iron Man's armor has never been skintight. It having muscle designs doesn't mean that it is. Autistic fuck.

Do you like the faux six packs on costumes? Does anyone, because I'm not sure why they add it unless there are those who do.

Sure, why not.

Obviously you DCucks seem to think it looks dumb for some reason

Depends. When it's purposefully over the top (bat nipples, etc) it can be bad.

>seething because he knows it's what they would say in the movies

Show me comic accurate costumes that wouldn't / don't look dumb in a live action movie. cosplay, fan films, real movies idc, HARD MODE
>No armour wearers
>No superstength users (mostly in terms of durability)

Attached: wandaa.jpg (1780x2224, 424.12K)

Sure thing bro

Can't be bothered to post screens right now, but those live action Bat in the Sun productions usually have ok looking comic accurate suits.
I've never been on the opinion that you should copy the comic 1:1 though.
Even something like Wolverine will look much better if it's the proper color palette, and not bring yellow.
The idea that all comic book costumes would work well as direct live action adaptations is completely delusional.

bright yellow*
Although, to play Devil's advocate, it can be made to look ok-ish sometimes.
Still would look better with some adjustments though.

wanda looks hot in that costume and makes my peepee hard

The mask a little weird due to it being a little too big on the sides, the mask look could work if it was just a little more balanced and subtle in its looks

Attached: old-style-wolverine-70s-jpeg.jpg (798x978, 65.04K)

Not enough lines.

Literally just get better material for the costumes so they look better on camera, that's all you need to do. Also Mark 1 is kino, fuck you.

>I'm so insecure about the fact that I like comic book characters that I need to make them look like cawwadooty characters to repress my shame!

Attached: zerkjak.png (1672x2952, 65.64K)

They would have absolutely not given Manta his helmet if this was the mCU

the costume wasnt real but the post credits glimpse of the Wolverine suit looked fine

Yup. They're fucking allergic to letting characters be helmeted/masked.

God what a shit suit. Tacticool will never look good.

False

You mean the helmet he barely wears?

Attached: bk.jpg (723x836, 117.18K)

I feel costumes need them as a way to add SOMETHING to that vast expanse of nothing on a torso.

Starlord almost never wears his helmet
Scarlett Witch did it for a gag
Thor did it for a gag.
Captain hasn't worn his helmet consistently since the first Avengers.

It really doesn't. All MCU suits are vests with shoulder straps.

Yeah I hate normies too.

Chest plate takes a way from it a lot. It was so close to perfect, it feels like they just slapped it on just because. I really hate it when they get close to 100% accuracy and then they just veer left and taint it by adding some gay shit to watermark it. If you're going to deviate, you should go all out and make it truly your own.

Besides the entire movie?
That's not what tacticool is because it's not tactical

Blessed

where's the shape?

Attached: MCU Costumes.jpg (1116x931, 225.66K)

Where's the Hawkeye one from?
And wasn't the classic Loki played entirely straight?

Attached: url4.jpg (320x488, 84.7K)

>that gay chest in the mcu version
MISS ME WITH THAT SHIT

Attached: Atmcosplay[1].jpg (2477x3978, 1.4M)

dont think this will be a popular opinion, but if they did a live action Wolverine mask he should get the Batfleck pit bull ears treatment instead of the classic long points.

Attached: wolverine mask.jpg (474x426, 13.57K)

The MCU design was perfect, you guys are just weird.

Wanda lookin cute. Real dumpy and fridge like someone's mom. Very cute.

Look at the shape of human body

Posted this in a different thread but: The point of these lines is to accentuate (or create the illusion of) a masculine T shaped physique. This is the type of shape that bodybuilders try to achieve and is used as a model for super heroes. Broad shoulders and a narrow waist. The same principle and color blocking can be used for women to accentuate their curves (making the waist look slimmer and the hips/bust look bigger).

Attached: color block dress.jpg (500x800, 61.47K)

Most of these look like they were pulled straight out of the comics

Now you're gonna get spammed with people posting their original comic designs.

>Iron Man's armor has never been skintight

It was for quite some time. The 'Muscle designs'? Yeah, those were muscles.

>Iron Man has always used to comic looks

Up until Iron Man 3 or so, after that you have hacky concept art guys doing it.

It hardens though. At that point it's essential armor, not spandex.

So you're retarded then?

Good time for new Rocketeer movie!

He got more comic accurate after that, the bulky suits were inaccurate af

Attached: bg.jpg (444x743, 41.81K)

It's flexible between movements, like Kirby intended. The golden armor was supposed to be literal flexible metal, like nitinol, memory metal.

Leter writers changed it because they didn't get it. Their solution, micro-chainmail, isn't so bad either.

Then there's Extremis...

Attached: Extremis.png (899x452, 558.54K)

"Inaccurate"

Um, speaking an an autist - be less autistic, please.

Attached: 85.png (500x1099, 626.92K)

Tacticool garbage, this is why DC always wins

Still armor.

>DC always wins
user, I prefer DC too, but let's not turn our backs on reality here

As a DC fan I have to disagree. It's a good design, although not as good as the first film. Also "tacticool" has never been an issue in and of itself.
Bad tacticool is when there is an issue.
