It's really just because they have all the ingredients for breadsticks on hand and there's no reason not to and since they are so cheap to make it goes in every combo. It's pizza dough, the same garlic dressing they use for doing the crust with some pizzas, and parm with an alternate option to use butter/sugar for dessert breadsticks or cheese for cheesy breadsticks.
