I had never seen the intro of season 4, holy shit.

It's so funny because if anything the series runs on punishing Johnny for stepping out of line. It depicts every woman he comes across as a martial arts expert who can beat his ass in seconds flat. Seriously, what is there to complain about?

Name one difference between Pepe shorts and Johnny Bravo

Pepe is triumphant over Penelope in most of his shorts; Penelope is depicted as helpless and constantly anxious in his presence; Pepe gets away with stuff like chaining Penelope or trapping her inside a cave.

Johnny never even gets past the pick up line phrase before getting pummeled to hell and back by women who very clearly can take care of themselves. He only gets as far as the lady in turn allows it.

Even if the premises are similar, the execution of each makes a world of difference.

CN surprisingly has a more respectable and big LA fandom that still never forgotten its past shows unlike modern CN in the west that keeps on spamming CotC, Gumball, and TTG for most of its schedule.

I had the exact same memory issue, I remembered him talking in this sedate robotic voice. Then not too long ago I looked up a scene from the show on youtube out of curiosity and boredom, and he talks in this childlike voice.

That is because for the longest time Cartoon Network was the only animation channel kids had growing up, and when Nickelodeon and Disney finally had Latin American feeds, they were behind Cartoon Network in terms of fans and content.

Firsts season use to have a TTS robotic voice. But for the second one they change it to a human actor making up a robot voice. Now here is the weird part; they also re-dub the first season and hide all traces of the TTS dub.
