BUT SHE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL WND THE STORY WAS SO WOKE WHAT WEBT WRONG NOOO
Colton Jones
>feminist trash
>Still call it Invisible Man to trick ppl into watching it
Xavier Hill
Is there an outline of what movies they plan to release for the dark universe or what
Isaiah Perry
>B-b-but muh go woke, go broke
Aaron Jackson
Ayden Foster
>woke movies can only be successful if they’re given micro budgets
lol
Hunter Powell
Oh so now it’s just a matter of too big budgets? Kinda ruins the entire meme if it’s just about production costs.
Brody Bell
Frankenstein by Aquaman director
Bride of Frankenstein
Renfield
Invisible Woman by Elizabeth Banks
Dark Army by Paul Feig
Monster Mash - this one is a musical
Some will be standalone, some will be related to each other. No limits and restrictions. Frankenstein can be PG while Renfield may be R rated.
Michael Thomas
That's it? Wtf are movies dying?
Chase Williams
>Monster Mash - this one is a musical
Whaaaaaaaast?
Julian Wood
>It’s already done seven times its budget in one weekend
The Blumhouse model really is genius.
Noah Sanchez
Mummyfags btfo!
Isaac Wilson
rape
Caleb Robinson
Everyone is white
Xavier Hall
Didn't the mummy open with over 30m in USA and 170m worldwide? It was the biggest opening weekend for all tom cruise movies.
Joseph Adams
Is this the movie about a woman who likes to be choked by the imaginary man that follows her?
Lincoln Rivera
Is that good?
Wyatt Peterson
Budget: $7m.
Colton Morales
Little more than Dracula Untold and a bit less than The Mummy but production was much cheaper. Let's be honest, monster movies will never make capeshit numbers.
Christian Hernandez
$29 million is not an impressive opening, that said with a measly $9 million production budget and $20-30 in marketing it was always going to make money in the end.
The B+ from opening audiences sounds like it won't have great legs though.
Jacob Gonzalez
>Ends with a sequel/integration into Dark Universe 3.0 hook

I guess that's pretty good.

With a face like that the movie should've been the invisible woman.

does she get raped in the movie? This will greatly influence whether I see this or not
Brayden Hernandez
I refuse to believe any of this is going to be made
Charles Wood
Unfortunately she does not.
Thomas Rodriguez
i genuinely didnt know this movie happened or came out.
Hunter Jackson
welp, fuck that garbage then, I wont even steal the movie
Ian Foster
This movie was pretty fun, got spooked by the ladder scene. Rain scene was cool too.
Colton Moore
The majority of the immediate supporting cast with the most screen time is black
Jordan Parker
Oh, you!
Robert Cook
There's nothing woke about this movie. It's like old fashioned movie straight from 80s or 90s. Black guy is useless in pre-sjw way. The bitch wins only because of his "mistake" (not even a mistake, she just finds his suit) and Invisible Man is really great in action scenes BTFOing cops.
Nathan Kelly
Its about making men invisible
Colton Fisher
>There's nothing woke about this movie.
You say that now but before it was out Yea Forums kept bitching it being woke trash because it took a woman’s perspective in the story. And now people are shitting it for being a feminist movie.
Gabriel Green
In a world where the Battleships board game was given a 200 million dollar adaption nothing is off the table.
Noah Sanders
>men
>huge success at BO
you people are disgusting
Tyler Cruz
Because it really felt like sjw shitshow before but actual movie is not like that. Camera work is pretty great.
Parker Hill
>There's nothing woke about this movie.
Woman is being abused by her white rich husband. She flees and is helped by the only good man in the movie, a black guy.
Her white ex-husbands brother keeps attacking her until she kills him, she then kills her white ex-husband as well so she can finally be a free woman.
>nothing woke about this movie
kys
Henry James
Is this good or bad? How much did they spend on this?
Blake Murphy
"You think I'm mad, I won't win the box office and redeem the dark universe? "Alright, I'll show you!" Ehahahahahahaha.
Seriously though I'm glad this didn't bomb, we're back
Bentley Torres
So you’re both a racist and afraid of women.
Jaxon Watson
incel anonymous btfo yet again
Charles Gray
Does /ourgirl/ finally show off the goods? The scene in Mad Men where she gets naked with Stan was such a tease.

CHECKMATE, ATHIESTS
Adam Parker
>spend $7 million
>22 millions takings on opening weekend
Blumhouse can't lose.
Chase Hernandez
>check cameras
>Entire movie falls flat on it's face
Ian Young
What cameras? The only time he could be caught on camera is during the rampage at the hospital. And at that point he’s starting to shift his goal from tormenting her through making people think she’s crazy to hurting other people she cares about.
Carson Edwards
checked

Jayden Morales
>spend $7 million
>22 millions takings on opening weekend
>Blumhouse can't lose.
So far they haven't made any money, since they only get 50% of the box office take, and the $7 million budget is only for production, not for the at the very least $20-30 million marketing spending.
That said, it WILL make a profit given this opening weekend.
Luis Sanchez
$7,000,000
So pretty good profit.
Jacob Walker
>action scenes
Gay and dumb
Elijah Nelson
If Mummy lost 100m despite making 400m on 125m budget (like all other mummy movies which also made 400m) then Hollywood marketing doesn't make sense anymore. Money laundering.
Brayden Richardson
Hahaha all of these sound horrible!
And how many of them will be “updated” to include diversity and powerful lesbians?
Robert Smith
people don't understand how much money goes to marketing, huge blockbusters have to make months of market in over 100 countries, that shit is not cheap
Juan Turner
>The Blumhouse model really is genius.
Budget bloat was never necessary and is just Hollywood cronyism and kike accounting. One million to me one to you oy vey movies make no geld goyim.
Sebastian Rivera
I don't think they will do it. Universal Monsters fanbase is mostly made of boomers who hate this sjw bullshit. Look at Star Wars. Universal probably won't do similar mistakes. They will just update them to modern era but keep them as original monsters.
Leo Carter
is $29 million good?
i dont know shit about box office numbers
Ian Allen
It’s basically recovered its entire budget back already.
Connor Ortiz
Its okay for a horror movie opening, and I'm assuming this one wasn't particularly expensive. If the budget is under 50 million its a huge success.
Cooper Sullivan
nice quads.
oh cool, that didnt sound like a good opening to me, guess i really dont know shit about BO numbers. im not gonna see it anyway. but thanks
Robert King
she has a huge brain.
David Price
How many times have people said it’s stupid for studios to continue doing Woke bullshit and yet they continue making Woke bullshit? And the movies continuously and predictably bomb.
They’ve got Paul Feig (Ghostbusters 2016) saying his ideas are inspired by Bride of Frankenstein, Elizabeth Banks (Charlie’s Angles 2019) writing The Invisible Woman which she says is a one woman show that is much different than The Invisible Man, and Monster Mash which will have all those classic spooky monsters singing and dancing. Maybe it will be as good as Cats. That’s only half of the planned movies showing some level of being Woke garbage.
But oh no, the arrogance of the Hollywood elites has been squashed by the recent lessons of their movies bombing. In no way will they continue to make movies that only cater to the loudest Twitter users.
Carson Scott
>powerful lesbians
lesbians arent allowed to exist anymore. theyre given HRT and told to become men
Christopher Ortiz
>And the movies continuously and predictably bomb.
Except for all the times they don’t.
Ayden Clark
>Let's be honest, monster movies will never make capeshit numbe
well, not with that attitude they wont
Wyatt Wright
>the only good man in the movie, a black guy.
i hate to be the one to tell you this but, some black people are good people and not violent gangbangers, just like how some white people are bad people and are violent gangbangers. dont freak out too much pls
Justin Rivera
i never saw it, but did someone say "you sunk my battleship!" at any point in the film?
Connor Jones
>i hate to be the one to tell you this but, some black people are good people and not violent gangbangers
I hate to be the one to tell you this but, some white men are good people and not violent wife abusers
Kayden Sanders
Non-woke movies don't have a problem making back their money even with big budgets.
Luis Adams
>i hate to be the one to tell you this but, some black people are good people and not violent gangbangers
13
50
Josiah Parker
>some
no shit genius.
some are and some arent. that was my whole point.
both are allowed and do not denote an insidious agenda.
i didnt say they werent more prone to violence, because data obviously indicates that they are. but SOME of them arent violent and are perfectly normal people.
are movies not allowed to ever show a single black person who is good?
Nicholas Thompson
She’s really not all that bad other than her bulbous cranium
Oliver Flores
>some are and some arent. that was my whole point.
Not in this movie, which is what we were discussing.
Also not in Blumhouse's prior movie, 'Black Christmas', where again every white guy was evil, and the only good guy was a black dude.
It's such a clear agenda, and it's tiresome.
Caleb Young
Nobody who paid to see this did so because it's "woke," brainlet.
Easton Russell
Yeah, white male victimhood is truly tiresome.
Kevin Evans
This is first week. The word of mouth will kill this movie very fast.
Connor Butler
embarrassing
Dylan Ross
Samefag
Isaac Perez
I like Elizabeth Moss because I like Peggy Olsen
I don't care about the rest of her career, but I don't mind her doing well
Hunter Butler
there's two ways of looking at it though; simply from a financial standpoint (I understand it was a cheap movie to make so I'm sure it'll make a profit), but also as a gauge of interest in further 'Universal Monster' movies. I don't think this was enough of a hit to justify any 'cinematic universe' nonsense, but maybe it'll convince them to make more horror movies out of their old character IPs instead of 'epic' action shit
Ayden Long
embarrassing
Gavin Myers
Or noticed that the husband read a scientist researching how to turn invisible, presumably had several other people assisting him, and literally had a second invisibility suit that anyone could have walked on and taken.
Dominic Perry
why does she look like she’s a bit touched in the head
Christian Green
The spit in her mouth makes me diamonds
Blake James
But how would they find the suit if they can't see it
Connor Long
How do I get into the Universal Monsters, bros?
