Decent, but wasn't as creepy as it could have been. For some fucking reason they competely cut the part of the shower scene where he puts his hand on the shower glass that was in the trailer. Makes you wonder what else they cut.

Too rapey

I didn't see it

It's very much a horror movie designed for unattractive, paranoid, bitter females

It was pretty good. I would suggest not looking too much into the trailers and stuff that might spoil something. Did a good job of creating tension. The restaurant scene was kino and legitimately surprised me.

It had some decent moments. Overall I would give it 4/10. Its good to take your wife or girlfriend to see, but has zero rewatchability effect.

It was pretty bad the cgi was trash and it played out like a live action scooby doo episode

Is this 2nd part of that monster series started by The Mummy?

That got cancelled

I like that the evil cyborg from upgrade is in this. also hopefully whannel has enough money for upgrade sequel
Looks like a Hollow Man copy
What sort of guy makes multiple efficient stealth suits and uses them to stalk someone he used to date? Like he could be selling them to any government on the planet and be swimming in government cash and complacent pussy, but no, he just fakes a suicide and torments some old flame.

>The restaurant scene was kino

highlight of the movie. the rest couldn't live up to it but it was still pretty good. also, fuck soi critics, it's no political statement movie they claim it to be.

COULD YOU BE ANY MORE INVISIBLE?

Attached: mossbing.jpg (1200x1200, 469K)

Yeah, I agree. The dude’s motivation makes no sense lmao

She looks like a grandma for some reason

It was good. Better than Upgrade.

I thought that was a good choice. He makes himself known there only through leaving the pill bottle, not "here is a ghost hand!" That whole act of the movie really stuck to the paranoia around the fact that he could be anywhere and you imagine he's in every open space on screen, even if he's not. That was way better than showing her being followed by ghost footsteps and ghost breathing.

I fuckin enjoyed it for the $8 I spent on ticket, I never go out and see movies but how often do you see an invisible an type movie? It's been 20 years since Hollow Man, and i like how the invisibility was a suit made of cameras, very cool cause unlike mother remakes he can become visible, he's just creepy.

I think that was the idea, but this movie is way better than Hollow Man

>Current year movie better than prime Verhoeven
doubt.jpg

It was probably filmed specifically for the trailer and was never actually in the film. Hollywood does it all the time.

I've always felt Hollow Man is a really slept on movie, but I really like the new one.

He wasn’t a rational actor, the movie properly establishes that Adrian was a manipulative, obsessive guy who got off on controlling people down to what you wore, ate, thought, etc. and she was the only person who successfully got away from him against his wishes. A guy who is that much of a control freak wouldn’t be able to just let go. That’s why he was tormenting her. He was punishing her for having the temerity of going against him.

And having a spare just makes sense. Just so that you don’t have to start from scratch when something happens to the first one.

it would be a lot more plausible if it was his ex-wife and he wanted to make her life hell for dicking him over in the divorce

>That was way better than showing her being followed by ghost footsteps and ghost breathing.

But the movie shows his breath outside the house and stealing the knife. The hand print was way creepier than him taking bunch of photos at night and would have more effectively pushed the notion that he can be anywhere through a visual creepiness.

Having the story take place from the pov of the victim works better than the invisible guy doing the stalking.

She doesn't notice it though.

So now they will make standalone dark universe movies and then connect them? No cameos for now, right?

You guys are fucking retarded. It’s established multiple times that the guy is mentally unstable

cinematic universes are bullshit, just make a good movie

why the fuck does she look like a zombie corpse in that thumbnail? even full size that massive space between her eyebrows is distracting, who cast this???

The Dark Universe doesn't exist, you fucking mongs. How many times must it be said? Not every movie has to connect to some shared universe, you capeshit conditioned manchildren.

wrong on multiple levels. now Johnny Debt has been exonerated and redeemed the Dark Universe is absolutely and assuredly back ON

>>Current year movie better than prime Verhoeven

any year movie is better than Verhoeven.

saw the trailer
looks really stupid
like really really stupid

Imagine having taste this bad

It’s fun imo, the first act was the highlight of the movie

One user said that he got this in Universal park. Seems like Dark Universe is now just a name for all monster movies. Movies will be produced by many different companies with a different take and different budgets. Some will be horrors, some will be blockbusters or even a musical called Monsters Mash.

>Monsters Mash

>feminist plot
lmao nobody will watch this

Boring. Female empowerement fantasy.

hollywoodreporter.com/amp/heat-vision/musical-monster-mash-movie-works-at-universal-1277277

can someone give me the spoilers?

>feminist
It's really not

She's not a strong female though, he's crushing her soul most of the movie.

>It's really not
A rich white guy is stalking his ex-wife instead of shrugging it off and fucking any woman he wants... and her only ally in her struggle is the black police detective.

Uh, what?

You could literally say the same thing about Hollow Man, he's a rich doctor with a Porsche 996 who can literally have anyone he wants, but is hung up on Elisabeth Sheue's character.

How is it stupid?

I wanted to see if there was any nudity in this film and kek’d when I found this

>Rich men can’t be stalkers and psychos
>Having a black cop friend is considered feminist now

Incel, do you even know the definition of a feminist?

>Rich men can’t be stalkers and psychos
Since when have you heard of a wealthy and famous man literally acting like a stalker and tormentor?
>Having a black cop friend is considered feminist now
White guy bad. Black guy good. It's Intersectionality 101.
>Incel, do you even know the definition of a feminist?
Dumpy commie.

When the shills start throwing around the I word you just know the movie is woke garbage.

>When the shills start throwing around the I word you just know the movie is woke garbage.
Pretty much. I'm fucking sick of this woke trash that is overrunning entertainment.

>Get triggered by a word

Well isn’t that adorable.

The photos scene was important because it involved the other characters seeing her acting crazy. In the shower, she's alone, so if she sees something a little odd, it's just repeating what we already see elsewhere.

Sounds pretty fun to me.

Not that user but
>Since when have you heard of a wealthy and famous man literally acting like a stalker and tormentor?
Onision was a multi-millionaire and did all that shit.

>Onision was a multi-millionaire and did all that shit.
Isn't he a male feminist?

Yes, so it kinda comes with the territory but he was still rich and semi-famous and got off stalking and fucking with current and ex girlfriends and wives.

I'd watch that movie, not this one.

Howard Hughes was notorious for wiretapping and having people followed because of his paranoia. Especially when he thought someone else was possibly fucking his numerous girlfriends.

why does the ugly gash keep getting roles

do people really find her attractive?

peggy is the worst

>Howard Hughes was notorious for wiretapping and having people followed because of his paranoia. Especially when he thought someone else was possibly fucking his numerous girlfriends.
So, the two best examples are a male feminist and a guy who died over 40 years ago. Heh.

Elisabeth Moss is good at pornography.

Other people aren’t as misogynistic as you.

Scientology

>Elisabeth Moss is good at pornography.

You claimed rich men didn’t do stalking, and you were proven wrong.

If he's stable enough to make an actual functioning stealth suit, he should be stable enough to capitalize on it.

I saw the whole movie through the trailer.

>prime Verhoeven
that was the early 90s

i kinda doubt that

I thought it was pretty good, but I don't understand why the reviews were comparing it to MeToo when the movie was about domestic violence more than anything else.

SJW feminists have to ruin horror now too? cool i guess thats the one genre they havent hijacked yet

Because the major plot point is about intentionally destroying the woman’s credibility as a victim. Which is what most people accused of sexual misconduct go for.

I thought it was pretty unrealistic at the beginning when he punches through the car window. Auto glass is really strong stuff and you’d probably just break your hand trying to do that.

>Auto glass is really strong stuff
It is until you put enough tension on it

youtube.com/watch?v=2eFQbhkrfZE

Oh, that makes sense.

>destroying the woman’s credibility as a victi
>implying credibility in current year

>Verhoeven
hack

did the superman joke made it in?

Attached: little fast pumpin.jpg (480x360, 10K)

It is, I regret watching it.
Wait for streaming if you want to see it, not worth the money.

I agree the restaurant scene made the movie

I wish. They need to go extra rapey in these movies. If I were invisible, I would be sneaking into rooms of teen girls, drugging and raping them until they're pregnant, and All the while they think they're being fucked by their dads or brothers, or who ever lives with them, only for the DNA to be different in the baby. And it keeps happening. And while they're drugged I would whisper to them, slowly program them into a cult. Making them think they're being raped by demons or something.

yeah, they really dropped the ball, lol

I thought it was funny there is no cameras anywhere, no one could hear him or smell him and that that ugly bitch never thought to take pictures or videos when she got back into the house.
3/10

His suit was not visible in ultrared.

I was kinda expecting them to say he kept raping her every night after he found her again and that’s why she was pregnant. The “oh I knew you were trying to use birth control when we were together so I switched your pills” was kinda underwhelming twist.

I mean in the restaurant foe example. The knife.

Also maybe thermal or flir?

There's no reason for a restaurant to have cameras of the entire dining room, nor is there any reason someone would've been filming their specific table. At most, you could argue someone caught a glimpse of what happened, but they'd probably just be looked at as crazy.

And there’s literally no reason to even check when dozens of witnesses would testify her holding the knife and nobody would take it was the invisible man shit seriously.

i would in a heartbeat and i don't care who knows it

Attached: bikinimoss.jpg (900x1200, 677K)

It was actual garbage.

I don't know understand why people like this ?

It's generic and cliché as fuck, overly predictable, does absolutely nothing interesting with the premise.

Hollowman this isn't.

Just got back, solid 7/10, predictable but does a great job of creating tension and a good watch

>jump scare "horror"
>stupid premise
>bad cinematography
>protagonist is an unattractive woman

Yeah, I'm thinking the 2000s are back

00s had attractive women as the leads in horror movies

normies are terrible at judging horror movies

She's a good actress. She has strong understated comedic timing that people don't really appreciate.

so based on how it ends does this mean that Elizabeth Banks' upcoming Invisible Woman remake will be a sequel to this?
