Star Wars is ruined
Star Trek is trashed
Doctor Who is going down the tubes
what long standing sci-fi franchise is next to be fouled?
Why live?
Uhhhh? Hello? Based Department?
Fuck this shitshow, fuck Jodie and FUCK Chibnall
>Fuck Jodie
Prediction:
There’ll be another year long break but Jodie will get to finish her third series and regenerate
Next Doctor will be a non white man
Overnight ratings will dip below 2 million
Show gets put on hiatus for 5-10 years
>stopped watching around mid-13th
>check now
>master is now pajeet
Ah, it seems I've made a right decision.
I sometimes thank god that JMS has Babylon 5 rights on a weird lockdown that makes it almost impossible for him to do anything with it.
Lets hope that Blakes 7 stays off the air.
I checked out Gallifrey Base this week and had an argument with what I assume were men in their mid 40s who for some reason love this season
Very surprising
It's over for them, this is all they have left
I don't know what I should be pissed off more about ? The fact that they decided to change entire character of The Doctor knowing that it wouldn't work within concept of show or them now changing entire cannon of show just to make it fix. The whole thing fucks me off. Doctor Who is dead. Funeral is on BBC1 at 7pm. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to one of these following charities : Autism England, Autism Scotland, Autism Northern Ireland, Autistic Society of Wales, Children In Need UK. RIP Doctor Who. :'(
6 hours to go
are those fucking cyber timelords
CYBER TIME LORDS
Just go to the hospital room and smother them to death with a pillow already. I honestly don't wanna know how much worse that ST, SW and Who can get from here but we know the bottom is still pretty deep. Fucking kill them off already and spare the fans some pain.
Watched the Countrycide episode of torchwood last night, I loved how otp gory it was and how Jack fucked them all up at the end without giving a shit. It was like a response to not being able to do that kind of thing on Doctor Who proper.
Tonight's going to be rough lads.
What are our predictions as to who the Timeless Child is?
Mine is that it's Susan.
Also spoiler, Susan is revealed to have been that Pajeet cop the entire time
NuWho was never canon.
Looking forward to when these fuckers come in and devour Jodie's delicious cunt tonight. Also Graham is dead as dirt tonight. and his arc is pointless.
Reminder that everything pic related said last year has come true so far
Omega confirmed a Cyber Timelord
They retconning this nigga to be a Cyberman hybrid Timelord?
Shits retarded
Well that's step out of left field.
They're not bringing back Omega after all this time with zero build up.
Did it with Davros.
This shit is fucking retarded
Based Reaper poster
Kek
Say something you've actually liked about Chin-balls run so far.
Hard Mode: No Graham.
First season of him as showrunner had entirely original enemies.
Which I can respect because it isn't leaning on the past to prop up the current season. And it was a risky move that didn't pay off because the original ideas weren't all that great but at least it was an effort.
Miss me?
Compared to moffat he's a breath of fresh air.
can someone photoshop this to say "feel like PURE shit"
Yes, he's the GOAT Doctor.
He just had to break his fucking back to carry the shit episodes Moffat and his crew shat out.
Though it was worth it for Heaven Sent, the GOAT episode.
weird how we went from practically no fanwank to SHOVE IT ALL INTO 4 EPISODES NEXT SERIES
>been listening to some 8th Doctor BF tapes with John Hurt
He's snarky and fun and I like it although I feel the stories are a bit monotonous but neat ideas too from a sci-fi PoV.
>halfway through series 9
I think the first part of the boxes segment near the end of the Zygon 2-parter was one of those times Capaldi had to act through the bad writing. I watched the OP episode a few days back and that segment was a good time.
FUCK MISSY but goddamn can her and Clara ct too
>finished The Clockwork Man
Fun adventure but relatively mundane.
>started Engines of War
Holy shit is this writer on another level.
where did this come from!?
Thank God farscape can't be ruined
You just know
Of course, he's literally the best doctor the show's ever had.
>FUCK MISSY
why?
Cyber timelords, a Drumpf stand-in, terrible Hitchcock homaging complete with crow CGI, awful Master, a super-secret hidden regeneration where it's a STRONK bame Doctor.
Could you even imagine this shit happening when the show was somewhat good?
Inb4 it was never good
Not letting Clala out of the Dalek but also being a malicious sociopath in general. Great acting however
Doctor-Clala-Missy are like a holy trinity.
Or
>FUCK MISSY
I thought that was Wayne Knight
It’s all his fault
He looks chuffed to finally show the Doc his Sonic Pneumatic Drill
Define what Jodie's Doctor is like. What is her personality? Because I still have no idea.
Overexcited, womanchild know-it-all.
Imagine 10 and 11's most annoying aspects turned into a character and without any of Tennant or Smith's charsima to back it up.
I like the fact that I've not even watched a single second of it.
>Pajeet man makes white woman get on her knees and call him Master
Best scene in the whole season
Uh oh!
Is that some wrongthink I see?
The Graham cancer chat scene made me realize her whole shtick is that she's socially awkward
It is a crime against humanity that he didn't have at least 4 good seasons.
I hate that entire scene.
How can a being who is proven to be over 1000 years old with centuries of human/extraterrestrial contact both verbal and nonverbal suddenly become a socially retarded child when she becomes a woman?
It just makes the writers look even more inept
>The Master, a character known for his(her) villainous behavior and heavy disregard for others health and livelihood, acts like malicious sociopath.
>mfw
What do we think of Brown Master?
Inferior rehash of simm.
Yeah, if there's anything you should criticise Missy for it's how dumb the idea of giving the Master a redemtion arc is.
a shit version of Simm like how Jodie is a shit version of Tennant
Don't fucking tempt fate lad.
Awful
Lost all character development of Missy and lacks the presence of Simm.
Also, that scene on the plane where he switches from extra to the Master...pure cringe.
unironically fuck twitter. somebody burn that piece of shit to the ground, virtually
Tennant wasn't an autistic piece of wood though
I have this deep seated fear that there's going to be an absolutely shit adaptation of Hitchhiker's Guide in the near future.
Worse than the movie.
At least the movie had some perfect casting in Freeman as Arthur, Rickman as Marvin, Nighy as Slartibartfast and Rockwell as Zaphod.
Though I suppose they had to make up for FUCKING MOS DEF AS FORD FUCKING PREFECT.
Imagine if Matt Smith played The Master like he played 11, but not nearly as good.
I did like the bit with him joining the Nazis though.
You were cursed with shitty writers.
>FUCKING MOS DEF AS FORD FUCKING PREFECT.
I don't want to derail the thread but I still can't get over that
>A poo joining the Nazis
That's a cringe from me
It was addressed in the episode and explained via a perception filter, he even gets captured when it's disabled.
>ywn watch a series where we see The Doctor and Missy travel the universe where we can see them explore each others own style of morality and sexuality where they work towards the greater good and even explore the concept of putting their feuding rivalry behind them as they settle down and create a family until The Valeyard and the Timewar force the two apart
It would be kino
missed oppotunity to call tonight
march of the cybermen
"Children of Gallifrey, taken from their families at the age of 8 to enter the academy. Some say that's where it all began. When he was a child. That's when The Master saw eternity..."
Checked
Too good for the public user, keep posting fanfic
Are these cybermen regenerating themselves using timelord tech or timelords converting themselves using cyber tech?

How did they look at Jodie's TARDIS and say "yeah this looks like a good replacement for Capaldi's"
Fuck this isn't even a good replacement for the junk TARDIS 11 built.
The only good thing about it is that it reminds me of TARDIS Control Room I once saw in a dream.
I've never trusted critics less than when it comes to Doctor Who.
I miss having a tardis where I don't have to squint to see what's on TV.
>White woman Doctor
>Home is filled with crystals
Jesus Christ
Zagreus sits inside your head
Zagreus lives among the dead
Zagreus sees you in your bed
And eats you when you're sleeping
Zagreus at the end of days
Zagreus lies all other ways
Zagreus comes when time's a maze
And all of history's weeping
Zagreus taking time apart.
Zagreus fears the hero heart.
Zagreus seeks the final part.
The reward that he is reaping.
Zagreus sings when all is lost
Zagreus takes all those he's crossed
Zagreus wins and all is cost
The hero's hearts he's keeping.
Zagreus seeks the hero's ship
Zagreus needs the web to rip
Zagreus sups time at a drip
And life aside, he's sweeping.
And he set then his course
To a scar on the face of Creation
Where the stars lived and died in the churn of one night
Where the mountains might move in the blink of an eye
And decay was the only true constant
And the gate of Zagreus opened before him
And all of the Antiverse was releaved to him
And its terrible beauty ached in his hearts
So through them he ventured
There to do battle with Zagreus, the Beast
Never resting as long as history is lasting
Until either or both are laid to waste.
Zagreus waits at the end of the world
For Zagreus is the end of the world
His time is the end of time
And his moment Time's undoing
1. Humans = Time Lords & stole regenerations from an immortal alien
2. Ruth is a pre-hartnell Doctor
3. Ruth is not the only pre-hartnell Doctor
4. The Doctor is half immortal alien, half human due to being loomed
5. The Masters actions were because of twisted love
Series even teased the plot twists of;
'It was humans all along' - Orphan 55
'A little bit of humanity is important' - Accension of the Cybermen
>Lets hope that Blakes 7 stays off the air.
blake's seven is just gagging for a big-budget reboot. imagine if the crew were all teenagers! and Blake was a bl- no, Blake can't be a black woman because they framed him as a pedo before they shipped him off to Cygnus Alpha.
whenever critics say that there is 'a lot' happening in a big episode or movie it usually means that it's going to be shit but their brains haven't caught up with the fact yet.
if a podcast with sound effects can be canon, anything can be. shockwave flash porn. screencaps of discord chats. anything.
it also means it's a mess.
I won't even care if he ruins the show anymore, honestly. I had the sense to turn off the TV as soon as Capaldi said his last words and haven't watched a second since, so I'm just numb. The show died when Clara didn't.
the easy way out. god tier would have been female Chinese Master.
post your unpopular opinions and theories on the show
they blinged themselves up with purple LEDs and they give off techno.
if they're hoping a last-minute appearance from the Daleks is going to save the show, they're wrong.
fuck of chinball i'm not giving you any clues to fix your mess
True.
Other buzzwords that indicate a shitshow:
>Bold
>Interesting
>Brave
>Polarising
Etc
9 was an okay Doctor whose stories were mostly shit.
They should just merge the daleks and the cybermen since they are essentially used the same way now.
"Emotional" and "action packed" too, meaning it won't be. We'll just be expositioned upon endlessly by characters stood around talking.
reminds me of GoT S08E03 where everyone kept saying 'a lot happened' and 'it's very ambitious' and 'needs processing' and then after a few days everyone knew its shit
I want RTD to come back
raven/heaven/hell was the peak of nuwho, and people are plebs for not thinking so
>All I'll say is, don't believe EVERYTHING you've read/heard...
Every time someone has said something like this the leaks have turned out to be 100% accurate.
I got the feeling that was more about the IMDB cast list shit which had Billie Piper on it kek
The Snowmen is a perfect episode for people that are unfamiliar with doctor who.
Raven and Heaven are kino but Hell fucked it all up. It's well directed so I get why you got swept up in it but it's fucking atrociously written and ruins the last two episodes.
Blink is a good Buffy episode and a shit Doctor Who episode.
The Eleventh Hour is a better introduction episode.
12 and clara may not have been sexual but it was the most convincingly loving relatonship of the series
Friendly reminder it's pretty obvious from Moff's stage notes for Hell Bent that Twelve and Clara expressed their love for each other in the Cloisters.
Ego
Ever since that 8th drank the elixir of life back on Night of the Doctor, the regeneration process is different, rather than just changing his face he now glows on orange/golden glow and it's more dangerous than classic regeneration because the elixir of life was something still very experimental that fortunately worked for the doctor.
Black people don't watch the show.
I wonder if they got that from timeless bois too.
Apologize.
>implying eight didn't know he was drinking timeless semen
not sure why, but river was the least convincing love interest ever. she felt like the doctor's aunt and his 11th form had more chemistry with clara than with river, despite series 7B being shit.
I like the weaponized Regeneration idea more where they're literally kamikaze-ing themselves at Daleks.
Too camp, especially the sonic sunglasses. Sylvester McCoy still worst Doctor.
hell bent was good and people hated it because it was more focused on characters rather than muh gallifrey (which isn't that interesting)
This is now /fools/ general.
Only Fools and Horses thread. post your favourite moments of the show. Official thread theme: youtube.com
Rose > River
Everything they did on Gallifrey was retarded and Clara's character was done.
Doctor Who is dead.
don't you dare to steal my thread You fuckin horse fuckers
This, but I like him. "He'll do™".
Remember the eye booger monsters?
the point of clara staying on for too long being bad is exactly what hell bent was about in the end
Remember planet of web?
Best Doctor!
>Those toothpick legs
No wonder he is a bad runner.
I'm sorry. You were right.
Honestly, it's an overly forced problem. I can get behind the Doctor being "too old" and having "lost too much" but to have him fixate on Clala like that was silly; in the grand scheme of things things they weren't actually travelling together that long. He likely spent far longer with Susan, Ace, and across his timeline Jack and especially River. Hell, his closest relationship is technically the Master, whom he allows to get away with all manner of horrors because of it. You don't hear about other Time Lord's getting too attached to each other to the point of the borderline insanity Capaldi got up to.
It has to be more the PTSD than the relationship, she was just dear to him, and it was his 'break' moment. His own Time Lord Victorious moment writ large.
13 really should have called the Master out when he was going on about killing her. That's not what he really wants. It's never what he really wants, and she should call his bluff more often. I want to see more of their relationship when he is more Master than Missy. We've seen the outright antagonist relationship a million times by now.
Sydney Newman would be a bit dissapointed.
So was David popping in just people fucking lying, because I want David to pop in.
NuWho was never canon.
Randomly shits steam now and can talk with the Doctor outside of him possibly hallucinating it.
>Ten minutes into tonight’s #DoctorWho and I’ve already shed a tear
I suspect a lot of Doctor Who fans will be doing the same, but not for the same reasons this reviewer thinks.
They will bring him in again at some point, likely the 'human' version that got dumped with Rose to explain his ageing. He's their secret weapon. Even if it's considered a Leddit opinion he is and was by far the most popular Doctor of nuWho and maybe even all of them. I remember the hype for his return in Day of the Doctor.
Only canon thing is the Who is Doctor Who website. (whoisdoctorwho.co.uk
Look at the 'sightings' Sarah Jane works at the Daily mail.
UK viewers steadily declined after he left, and from what I know alot of people didn't like Matt in blightly, outside of the UK he did great though.
Remember when /who/ made up the leak that David Bradley as the first Doctor was in the vault and was going to come out dancing?
Still brings a smile to my face when I think about it.
Reminder after the episode where Chibs butchered 'mental illness' the BBC set up a hotline for suicidal people.
I actually called it out of curiosity, said I wanted to die about how the show was shitty and the woman on the other end read a script spouting positive messages.
I wish it was true.
What did they actually change? I haven't watched since Tennant.
Matt kind of grew on me, he had some great moments, but I was never a fan of his general persona or his look. Capaldi would have been an equal to Tennant, perhaps, for me if not for all the Clala bullshit, Bill, and the slow slide into wokeness. Ecclescake didn't get long enough to judge, but while I liked him, he felt too different to really buy as 'The Doctor'.
He was "the" face of Nuwho and his popularity is only rivaled by Toms
The Doctor's a woman now first off.
Imagine a world where Matt is a one-series Doctor (S5) and then Capaldi comes in doing Series 10, and one or two series of similar vibes. Would've been kino.
Drop Series 6, 7, 8 and 9 completely.
got me chuckling
Does anyone have Shit Trips volume one? Found vol 2 recently and we no longer have the long list of links.
he looks 3 ft tall because of the perspective lmao
I mean in the canon, I know about Jodie.
I disagree, some episodes from those seasons are fucking great, heaven sent for example.
William Hartnell is no longer the first doctor. Humans are the proto-Time Lords.
True, but I'd sacrifice a couple of kino episodes if it meant the show was in a much healthier place, regularly on, and not the clapped out shit it is now.
Gallifreyans may be Irish travellers in the far-future during a cyber war (not the one established in 'Nightmare in Silver'.) We'll find out tonight. Doctor can now talk to the TARDIS with it communicating though beeps. Fixed points in time have now been retconned and Earth instead of becoming capital of the fourth great and bountiful human empire it's abandoned and apparently forgotten about by humans and used as a resort. Gallifrey has been destroyed a SECOND TIME. William Hartnell is also not the first doctor, the actual first one was a black woman named Ruth.
I hope /who/ is watching Chibnall's Doctor Who writing debut, which coincidentally also involves Cybermen, now on BBC Iplayer.
Pic related gets covered in BBQ sauce and a dinosaur is baited into eating her
Jesus, why? Surely there are ways to write more stories without tossing decades of work in the bin?
Chibnall read up on the Cartmel Master Plan before writing series 12 and somehow thought it was a good idea.
I find the worst offence is that for the past 50+ years the Doctor has always ran away from his home planet, after saving it another 50 years of potential stories could be written with him running towards it, like a new War Games series of episodes. But no, Chibnall decided the Doctor should ignore Gallifrey for the first ever season, and then it gets nuked by the master. (Jodie's reaction is sulking in a corner.)
There's 20 extra bongs to the run time, will COOM THE MIDWIFE still be on?
I stopped watching after series 9. How bad is it now if I thought series 9 was a 7/10?
You ok with negative fractions?
Guys is /who/ still becoming /torch/ this episode with Captain Jack coming back with the Torchwood team and saving everyone?
Let's Kill Chibnall
A Bad Man Writes to Bore
Silence of the Audience
The Writer That Fell Into a Job
The Series Falls.
Watch No More

The Show who Died
Only Jack and Gwen are still alive. Not much of a team.
Shit Trips, not Short Trips, back when /who/ made fanfic anthologies (similar to the Shorts, yes).
I wonder if the Master (somehow) used the Moment. It's not easy to destroy Gallifrey, and the used of 'burned' is familiar.
Making shit up: Gwen and Rhys' daughter joins the team and he feels the need to join as well even though he doesn't like it much.
As it turns out the Cat-Guy from Gridlock is the Rani all along, and shall be revealed in tonights episode.
Ouch.
>what long standing sci-fi franchise is next to be fouled?
Warhammer 40k
>that throat undulation at the end
L-lewd, Vastra's actress was actually int it I guess.
Y'know Doctor Who copied off 40K. The 'fall of Arcadia' for example.
Zero chance of this happening.
Time travel.
Best companion, /who/?
Not Aced enough.
How long till it aires?
Tennent is the most overrated actor in history.
He is not not the worst but certainly nothing close to being good, he has 1 setting: bouncy ball goofy dad
Why are who fans such retards? Tennents drama series have much better performances than he ever gave for dr who, he clearly didn't give a fuck
I dont think RTD has ever read/playes 40k
tennant is the worst male actor to play the doctor in modern era. smith, capaldi and eccleston all out-act him easily.
No thats why Moffat copied shit from it. Tell me this doesn't like the Imperial Guard.
Blake's 7 ironically enough had all of the elements these modern shows try so desperately to force into the storytelling. There were plenty of strong female characters, including a black female lead and even the main villain of the series. It was the quality of the writing that ultimately makes the difference and until sci fi starts bringing in some writers with actual talent and vision we ate going to continue to keep getting shit
How come in Fugitive of the Judoon, 13 says that Gat and Ruth have to be from her past? In Hell Bent, 12 goes to Gallifrey billions of years in "our" future, so why couldn't Gat+Ruth be from any time in-between whenever last the Doctor went to Gallifrey and its destruction (billions of Earth years afterwards, potentially)?
1. Shit writing
2. Ruth doesn't remember her
>REEEE popular means bad!
>everyone is an idiot but me!
It's okay. You'll grow up some day.
i don't see how that is controversial or unpopular. moffat didn't want to make it too obvious because he knows the audience has a lot of young fans that are too immature to get over 'ewww he's old' to actually use their brain, so he used subtext and waited until the last second to spell it out for even the dumbest people in the audience.
that is weird
"in my time, Gallifrey is destroyed"
what the fuck does that even mean YOU'RE A TIME TRAVELLER
>Be fan of Doctor Who growing up
>Become an actor
>Gets the role as the Doctor that will become an entire generations favourite and will cement the shows future
>Get to meet your favourite Doctor that you watched as a kid
>Get to do a charity episode with him
>Get to marry his fucking daughter
Guys I'm a bit envious.
Neither does 13 remember her. Of course we know Ruth is in her past, the viewer knows all/the Doctor's timeline. But isn't this just... time travel 101? Does Chibs not know how time travel works on a show about time travel?
Doctor who dead
at this point I would be more inclined to watch Foreman than S12
Yeah, its weird because the master couldn't have destroyed Gallifrey in all of time like the Daleks did in the time war, he only did it in the present. As with alot of things in the show it can all be resolved with the time machine.
You'll miss cum the midwife then.
You can't time travel into Gallifrey's past or future. It's always "present day".
Reboot with Ty Tennant when?
If he can pull off a quiff and side burns, maybe.
depends where Gallifrey is
Chibs says it's in a bubble universe even though 12 said it no longer was, it's just hiding at the end of time itself. So WTF
Forgot your (you) in this:
How does Day of the Doctor work then? Did the Moment also allow the Doctors to enter Gallifrey and do the calculations?
What the fuck is a death particle?
nowhere in the show is that ever stated. implied, yes, but not one of the rules.
unless you have proof otherwise?
it'll be a weapon from Gallifrey probably. bet the Master uses it, a bit like 'the Moment', to threaten Gallifrey. or its what he used to nuke it
If its a weapon from Gallifrey the leaked Cyber-Timelords will be using it.
Typical pajeet daydreaming.
Taking bets on show going on 'hiatus' or getting straight up cancelled.
if the show wasn't aimed at kids, the doctor would fuck companions pretty often
Yeah the cyber men are time lords and visa versa
>The show died when Clara didn't.
Amen, dear user.
>The master is killed by Jodie
>Graham exclaims in horror
>Jodie then says: "Not difficult when you happen to be some one's former prime minister."
>Takes off blonde wig.
Huntsco or Huntisco?
>So right now:
Hartnell is the 1st Doctor
Troughton is the 2nd Doctor
Pertwee is the 3rd Doctor
Tom is the 4th Doctor
Davison is the 5th Doctor
Colin is the 6th Doctor
Sylvester is the 7th Doctor
McGann is the 8th Doctor
Eccleston is the 9th Doctor
Tennant is the 10th Doctor
Smith is the 11th Doctor
>But because of John Hurt's secret war incarnation, they bump up one.
Hurt is the 9th Doctor
Eccleston is the 10th Doctor
Tennant is the 11th Doctor
Smith is the 12th Doctor
>But because Tennant used up a regeneration burst, they bump up again.
Hurt is the 10th Doctor
Eccleston is the 11th Doctor
Tennant is the 12th Doctor
Smith is the 13th Doctor
>Thus, Smith is the final incarnation with no more regenerations left in his finale. As we know.
>The Time Lords grant him a new cycle, but Rassilon doesn't seem to know how many.
Capaldi is the first incarnation of the second cycle, or the 14th incarnation, or the 12th Doctor to Joe Public.
Jodie is the second incarnation of the second cycle, or the 15th incarnation, or the 13th Doctor to Joe Public.
Now if this finale introduces pre-Hartnell Doctors, potentially some of, or a whole new cycle, then this gets even more wacky. It's so fucking dumb.
Hartnell be the 15th Doctor at this point, and maybe it's time to give up with numbers.
What makes it all the more ludicrous is the fact that they seeded a few '11' refs into Smith's era, which they had to forget about once they decided retroactively that they wanted him to be the final Doctor for his last story. Capaldi also had a couple of '12' refs in his era, and Jodie has been heavily marketed not as The Doctor but instead as The Thirteenth Doctor.
What a fuck up.
At this rate, Hartnell will be Incarnation One of the second cycle, and Jodie will be the second incarnation of the third cycle, or some such bollocks.
Wish we could go back...
I hope Jodie regenerates and Whoop Goldberg stands up and the caption on screen says
INTRODUCING
WHOOPI GOLDBERG
AS THE 14TH DOCTOR
WHO'S ACTUALLY THE 23RD INCARNATION
AS SHE'S THE THIRD DOCTOR
IN THE THIRD CYCLE OF THE DOCTOR'S LIFE
"The Doctor is half human!"
kek
that line might be about to come fucking true lads
The Master... my brother!
youtube.com
The comics say he was using a half-working Chameleon watch FYI.
Better than Chibnall making the master the Doctor's fucking mum.
2023 will end Doctor Who with the 60th Anniversary, then work begins on a proper reboot. (not a revival like NuWho, a reboot) All the old stuff gets rebranded as Legacy Doctor Who.
Come to the stream tonight, we're gonna witness /who/story.
If the BBC goes broke from losing license fees then Disney could buy up Doctor Who in theory for a decent sum and then the BBC would have the money to run their Islamic LGBTQI+ support service for their staff 24/7.
No one would watch it, a fucking wipe of the old show would start riots, old fans wouldn't watch it and would constantly de-ride it, and the public wouldn't care if the writing is shit.
>Disney buy up Doctor Who
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Doesn't explain why the Eye of Harmony requires a human eye to open it tho
Well... You see... Uhh, I think its best we just remember the good parts of the movie and not things like that or the TARDIS key.
And they'll use it to keep actors from Star Wars away from other shows and movies when they aren't filming Star Wars.
And then they'll do a crossover with Star Wars.
nah
It will after tonight, lol.
I'm oddly okay with that. Hartnell will always be the first, even if just appearance wise and the origin of the show, so I don't really care too much if they expand the story backwards. I just don't want it to be stupid, and Chibnall doesn't inspire confidence.
father dougal
Kinda undercuts everything built up over the years though.
Maybe Chib will also have Ruth pop up with the Hand of Omega to explain why it's in Hartnell's TARDIS for the events of Remembrance of the Daleks
They can't even get casting right anymore. Even Big Finish gets that right. Nicola Walker's Liv, a (personality-wise) serious companion can pull of a range of emotions when the script calls for it (like in Doom Coalition: Absent Friends). Meanwhile, Yaz and Ryan are still crap, the Master is cringe-in-a-body, Jodie needs to improve more and most guest actors are terrible. So, a reboot would need to be a complete crew refresh, which isn't going to happen so soon.
Can someone give me a quick rundown on this show for the last ten or so years? I only watched the one with Eccleston and gave up after the first few episodes of Tenant. Does it get better or worse, and which regenerations/seasons are worth watching? I don't trust reddit's advice.
Omega was stuck in a black hole. You can now picture it.
Series 11 is the only series you need to watch. It's KINO
If you aren't enjoying Tennant but Enjoy Eccleston sounds like it just aint your show, friend.
>But because Tennant used up a regeneration burst, they bump up again.
>Hurt is the 10th Doctor
>Eccleston is the 11th Doctor
>Tennant is the 12th Doctor
>Smith is the 13th Doctor
Not only is that wrong from the standpoint of one incarnation persisting across an aborted regeneration, its wrong mathematically since you've added 1 incarnation from Hurt's Doctor instead of from Tennant's where the extra regeneration happened.
I'm re watching S8 atm and it contradicts most of the stuff from that like the Doctor being a young boy when Clara grabs his ankle
Timey Wimey.
series 5 and 9 are best
Hopes for this episode?
Plus the mind reading alien from the bank heist episode would expose it
Plus Clara putting herself in all of the Doctors timeliness
That it gets ignored by future showrunners and we pretend that it didn't happen.
When is it on?
1 hour 10 mins.
that it deletes all evidence of everything after capaldi's run and brings him back for more
That if they are doing a previous Regeneration cycle that the ginger cop is the new 1st Doctor, because I don't mind if Ruth is a later one, or alternatively that the alternate timeline Doctor theory turns out to be true.
I don't have strong feelings about anything else, honestly, so that's all. My issues with the show come down to the current actors and writing and they will all roll over eventually. Hell, so will the lore if it's particularly shit.
Lads do I tune in to watch the trainwreak (and shitpost) or not watch to keep the viewing figures down?
where is this stream you speak of?
Watching back The Doctor's Daughter.
Weird to think this fag put four children up her.
Doesn't look like he has it in him.
Watch this episode live, says Chibnall.
Watch it with us.
That everyone dies, including the Doctor, Chibnall and the BBC Head of Drama.
Scottish cumload maximising genetics.
It's an arranged marriage they don't actually fuck
Series 2 is pretty weak. The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit is the best story.
Series 3 is much better. Martha is much better than Rose. Human Nature/Family of Blood is the best story here. Blink fags can fight me.
Series 4 is the easiest to watch of all NuWho series. Donna is good. Wilf is the GOAT and Midnight is RTD's best script. Silence of the Library/Forest of the Dead is also good.
S4 Specials are alright, except the End of Time which veers into so campy and bad that it's good until 10 becomes a whiny bitch before regenerating.
S5 is GOAT. Best post-Regen episode, Vincent and the Doctor is the best story here and the finale doesn't shit the bed as hard as most finales do. Also I want to fuck Karen Gillan.
S6 and 7 don't actually exist and you can't prove otherwise.
Series 8, 9 and 10 are carried by Peter Capaldi's fat time dick and swole eyebrows. Heaven Sent is the best Doctor Who story and you should watch the spin off series "The Thick of It" where the Doctor has hidden himself as Malcolm Tucker, Director of Communications for the Labour party.
Series 11 and 12 are so bad that the series was better when it was dead.
>Cyber timelords
At this point, fuck it, why not
The title is the Timeless Children, there's more than one
Probably best doctor who and i dont even watch this bullshit, i just know him from that politics comedy where he constantly swears

got banned from the forum by the BBC and the owner of it for telling the truth about the future of Doctor Who and making fun of Piers Wenger.
Clara was so hot, especially that outfit in the Mummy on the Orient Express
What eye candy is there on the show now?
Okay but you catch my meaning, that numbers are becoming increasingly fucking retarded in this show
Don't worry user, none of this is canon anyway.
I doubt it, but I'll bite. Is the timeless Children plot forced by the BBC as a guy previously suggested or is it Chibbs?
Bradley Walsh, don't you just wanna get in there, go on son, thassa good lad.
Spill what you know user
the doctor and the master
I suck at names and I abandoned the show when Capaldi quit, but I really wanted to fuck 6's companion every time she appeared on screen. Id even do her now.
Dont fear the reaper, dont fear the axe.
youtu.be
How bad does it have to get with viewing figures for the BBC to admit they fucked up?
Will there ever be a white male as the doctor again?
How much does the finale shit over the established cannon?

Doc 15 is my guess.
Doc 14 will be another woman, or a black dude. Calling it now.
Piers Wenger deserves to be made fun of.
Ah, Peri. A fine choice.
I could buy a tough looking black guy. They can look intimidating when they want to, and Jodie is woefully lacking the Doctor's darker and more intimidating moments.
WAIT , IF THE CYBERMEN POST-CYBERWARS ARE NOW ON GALLIFREY, IS CHIBNALL ABOUT TO EXPLAIN WHY THE VOGANS HAVE THE SEAL OF RASSILON ON VOGA
>Thread will archive during the episode since we're so close to bump limit
Shit should we make a new one?
The art of corporate bullshit. What he really means is "Jesus tap-dancing Christ we have severely fucked up"
BBC will lose money in the long run, lack of mercy, dvd sales worldwide
A few years ago Doctor Who and Top Gear were their 2 biggest exports worldwide and they fucked them both with their mismanagement
never before have they had to make a statement like this
and right in the middle of an "epic" two part finale
kek
YES
>"epic" two part finale
>3m viewers
First one with dubs gets to make the new thread.
That's you chum
Go and make it.
Well, get to it then. We're waiting.
FUCK
Gets dubs ironic
>lack of mercy
Good typo, I like it.
post yfw jodie regenerates into Hartnell tonight
This. The fact there is even an article about it means it's been noticed.
>“The production values have never been better. It’s also not just funded by the BBC, it’s funded by lots of international partners.”
>“In terms of external opinions, it’s not a democracy. We make the show we want to make.”
The former is a backhanded admission via a none answer, and implies there are financial backers who probably aren't positive about this shit behind closed doors. The second is pure cope to try and imply some auteur sense of superiority that clearly doesn't exist because it appears in an article questioning whether this failure of a run is going to result in a second Wilderness Years.

From this to Cybertimelords. how far they've fallen
NEW THREAD
Give that man a beer. Genuinely funny as fuck.
No, this is all Chibnall and Co. The Agenda driven writing too. But its all supported by the lunacy of internal BBC bubble politics and half the cast and crew being active Twitter is ticks and metropolitan elites.
But, when you know the writing is on the wall for 2023, and you're going to be the last BBC Doctor Who showrunner, then why not break everything like all the other franchises? Last chance, as the Reboot won't be held back by this nonsense and Legacy Who at the BBC will have years worth of content out of tonight.
Now I'm banned from GB have some info:
Big Finish animations soon.
Missing episodes remade.
BBC Audio will take over from Big Finish sooner than later. The BBC want to rinse as much cash as they can out of Legacy Who.
reminds me of this

Yes. Shame he came in towards the end of Moffat's run when he was running out of steam and his flaws as a writer were enormously heightened by years of exposure, but Capaldi elevated the weaker material and absolutely nailed it on the better episodes. Even Moffat was still able to turn in the occasional all-time classic episode, something Chibnall won't achieve even at his peak.
At this point we all know Chibnall was hired literally because he was the only one who'd take on the grueling job, right? Respect to him for stepping up, but he shouldn't have a tenure as long as RTD or Moffat in case the series gets shelved as a result.
Its a Higgs Boson falling to to its most stable state, low energy state.
Yeah, really takes me back, to when I started watching NuWho... annoying guy, but endearing too, and ultimately loved him
