Is Atlantis a good movie?
Atlantis
No. People only remember it for the waifus.
>Having Waifus is not the same as good
Yes, but I liked it better when it was called Stargate.
No, it was an Indiana Jones style movie but this time starring a skinny weak nerd who no one would find engaging as an action hero. You want to do adventure heroes? You design them like the protagonist of Uncharted at the minimum. Not surprised Atlantis was a failure. And the art style was honestly ugly.
Was it really a ripoff of Nadia?
They both went for the same pools of inspiration in Jules Verne novels and the schizo ramblings of Edgar Cayce. Disney leaned more on Hellboy and their adaptation of 20,000 Leagues for aesthetics though while Nadia took the story in an Atragon/Space Battleship direction.
Wrong I want to fuck the nerd twink
great movie, maybe not as good as Lilo&Stitch but a solid post-90s movie. The "fuck musicals" mentality led to good things.
For what purpose?
It was great but people dislike it for being a Disney movie without signing, talking animals wnd other Disney shit.
No idea how Mignolatot into this.
Is most likely the fujo obsessed with nerds.
Directors were big Hellboy fans and wanted the movie to have a moving comic book look to it. They spent so much time analyzing Mignola's drawing style, they decided to just hire him to be a production designer.
these sides characters made the whole movie man.
The submarine was gone too soon.
I love the artstyle
Blame retarded American test audiences wanting to see them in Atlantis as soon as possible.
Yes. The sequel/TV pilot, however, is sub-par.
Yes
The sequel would have made a great TV show.
It was going to crossover with Gargoyles before they pulled the plug.
Such a shame it didn't pan out.
It was for the best.
Nah.
Greg Weisman needs someone to reel his autism in.
I like the first half, but somewhere along the second half it felt like it was too familiar
>waifus
>fujos
Please learn how to use these words properly before using them. Waifu doesnt mean "any female character someone finds hot" and fujo doesn't mean "any female nerd."
10.000 year old delicious brown exotic warrior princess...
Wrong Atlantis movie.
better than El Dorado and Titan AE the previous year at least
Based
No.
The anime is better.
Cringe.
Tarzan is a better movie
Yes.
I remember for the crew
I remember it for Vinnie, the most based Disney character alongside Kronk and Roxas
Its literally a Stargate ripoff, but SG fans are asses like weebs are.
Indeed
I liked it so probably not. I'm a dumbass.
> very MTV!
is it bad that I'm too young to know what "very MTV" means in the context of late 90s movie production
I fapped to this scene so much when I was younger
having this big and good of a cast kinda begged for it to have a series.
>It's a mole episode
Based
I remember it for being surprisingly /k/
Great side characters that make the movie fun. They always reminded me of early TF2 art and the importance of keeping unique, identifiable character silhouettes.
The Japs themselves seemed to think so.
This is from the official Abenobashi manga.
It was shit.
Far better than Avatar though.
On what?
oh yeah, Tarzan. fuck me like a gorilla
Kida in a sweater is cute though
>Far better than Avatar though.
The Nickelodeon cartoon, the James Cameron movie, the D&D novels or the Singaporean movie?
There are way too many differences between the two. There was certainly some inspiration though. Its a shame it didn't take more honestly. A Grandis and especially a Gargoyle equivalent would have made the film much more memorable. I have not seen it in years and I only remember the Vinny scenes.
it's pretty fun. Shame it got overshadowed by Shrek during summer 2001
Yeah I just like the girls
Fucking coomers.
>Its a shame
Whose a shame?
