>elmo get in the robot, or mr noodle will have to go back in instead
Elmo get in the robot, or mr noodle will have to go back in instead
But why tho?
Finally the Robots sequel that we deserved
>Julia, unsurprisingly, is the best at building mechs
>Sesame Street
>And MECHS
I mean, it's not the WORST idea.
It's really fucking sad to think Cookie is the only remaining of the original characters and the rest of the original gang are now background characters
Until she starts misplacing her supplies or can’t stay focused long enough to actually build
Big Bird.
Not him but i think they only keep big bird around sometimes for the parents i dont even know if modern kids care about him anymore
I think it has more to do with the passing of Jim Henson and Carol Spinney and the retirement of Frank Oz.
Without them, do Big Bird, Oscar, Grover, Bert and Ernie really feel the same? B & E were literally just a puppet representation of Jim and Frank's friendship. And there is no Big Bird or Oscar without Carol.
The new muppeteers are preserving a legacy but those original performers infused their soul into those characters.
Maybe those characters should age gracefully into the sunset
Is this going to have human in it?
Or is it a world with nothing but muppets?
not gonna lie, i want a mecha elmo figure now. I mean we have hello kitty gunpla already.
>going to have human
Mecha Cookie Monster looks cute!
twitter.com
Weird choice for mechs but I'm sure it'll be a fun show for little kids to watch.
Is Zoey gonna pilot the Nobel Gundam while Elmo destroys his enemies with the Shining Finger?
Huh, I thought the Muppets were under Disney now. Why is it coming out on Warner Bros HBO Max?
HBO now owns Sesame Street.
Which is now owned by WB.
Disney doesn't own the Sesame Street muppets. Keeping them out of Eisner's hands pretty much exhausted Henson to death along with the pneumonia.
Disney owns Muppets
Sesame Street was always under its own separate nonprofit which it still is to the day. Disney wanted to buy Sesame Street when they bought Muppets too but Henson was adamant they wouldn't.
They aren't owned by Warner either, but they partner with Warner for new content and the first place new episodes drop to make up for the complete decline of dvd sales which were one of the things keeping the brand afloat
Who the hell is the pink one?
Disney only owns the core Muppets and Bear in the Big Blue House. The Jim Henson company sold their stake in Sesame Street to CTW in the mid-90s, resulting in their namechange to Sesame Workshop and they cut a distribution deal with HBO to keep them afloat. Everything else is still owned by the Jim Henson Company.
Abby Cadabby. A fairy girl added in the mid 2000s.
The breakdown is:
Disney owns classic Muppets and Bear in the Big Blue House (although they're probably shoving BITBBH into a closet never to be seen again)
Sony however owns "Muppets Take Manhattan" and "Muppets From Space"
Sesame Workshop is its own entity and owns Sesame Street. Warner Bros has been licensing Sesame Street to air on HBO/HBOMax first, then its later aired on PBS (up to a year delay). Warner is also paying to create spinoffs like this Mech cartoon, the Monster at the End of This Cartoon, and Elmo's talk show for HBOMax.
Warner Bros also owns "Follow That Bird" while Sony owns "Elmo in Grouchland"
Jim Henson Workshop owns everything else: Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Fraggle Rock, and educational shows they've created for PBS and Nick Jr like Dinosaur Train & Wubbulous World of Dr Seuss
Does Henson also own the Annoying Orange CN show?
There's human muppets sometimes.
What a clusterfuck
>(although they're probably shoving BITBBH into a closet never to be seen again)
Why isn't that on Disney Plus? That show was hugely popular at the time it came out.
I heard something about it coming to D+ in time for the show's anniversary (apparently Bear's puppeteer mentioned this)
Remember what they took from you.
Don't forget that Sesame Workshop also pays Disney to call the characters "Muppets"
House of Mouse still isn’t on Disney+ lol
I can't believe his scheming has gotten all the way to sesame street, truly the greatest villain ever.
Disney Plus is sitting on a lot of library content even though their monthly release schedules are always super sparse for content.
Just goes to show how in-demand Henson's legacy is.
Kids like Sesame Street, kids like robots, kids will ask for toys of Sesame Street robots.
PINGAS
Now I have this image of Cookie Monster's mecha doing this:
>Without them, do Big Bird, Oscar, Grover, Bert and Ernie really feel the same?
Bert and Grover, yes. Eric Jacobson's performance is such a replica of Frank Oz's it's not even funny. Ernie sounds okay. Oscar sounds fine. But Big Bird without Caroll sounds fucking awful. Matt Vogel should stick to playing Jerry Nelson's characters and only Jerry Nelson's characters.
At least the original gang still show up. Try being a fan of the Sesame Muppets who were introduced in the 90s. Almost all of them disappeared besides Rosita.
I miss telly and zoey
I miss Telly and Baby Bear.
But change is bad and I can't accept it
what did you guys think of the LEGO Sesame Street? I was disappointed by the lack of other characters, but I still thought it was great.
I havent thought about tellys baby bear in ages. Thanks for unlocking a memory of mine user
>TFW i spent 200$ from autismbux on that set, got cookie monster and big bird out of it, then forgot about it
Its in my fucking basement collecting dust right now. I wish i was more responsible with my money so i dont buy frivolous shit like that that i never play with or use
dark crystal would be way more fucking popular if they just had humans instead of gelflings. The skeksis are the entire draw
>take out the puppets from the puppet show that'd make it more homogenized for normalfaggot consumption
I wish i could go through the screen and choke you to death for that comment
Dark Crystal would be more fucking popular if Jen and Kira had personalities. The worst Gelfling in Age of Resistance still has more character than either of them.
you can kill me but you can't kill the truth
For me, it's Suzy Kabloozie
youtube.com
Is that made by the dude that did the fucking off beats?
Also It should be noted that Sesame Workshop is a non profit origination meaning No mega media conglomerate, can truly own sesame street.
Sesame Street already has a mecha

COOOOOOOKIEEEEEE
This. The Gelfling element was massively improved in the series.
Absolutely, Mo Willems
Thanks for posting that short. I had forgotten about shoozie kabloozie for many years. I need to watch 90s sesame street sometime
Ooh can we talk about old ass Sesame Street Muppets? Remember when they first introduced Telly and he was a TV addict with rabbit-ears and swirly eyes? Probably for the best they dropped that gimmick.
>We want the Paw Patrol audience
YOUR DAD LOVES YOU, GET IN THE ROBOT.
Baby Bear was on the most recent season's Christmas episode, he's the Jewish muppet
I know this means nothing coming from a fully grown manchild but sesame street mechas looks way more fun the paw patrol
>more fun then paw patrol
Fuck my iphone keyboard
