Are there any redeeming elements to the Batfleck suit?
Shitty wrinkly cowl
This suit and The Batman suit are both kino and by far the best cinematic suits.
Just because its gray doesnt mean its not designed like shit.
Hello Sir
Which batsuit would you say is better, if youre a TDKfag let me laugh at you.
I still don't understand the texture
It does look pretty rough and resistant. It feels like a coarse padding over the armor.
Honestly the only Live action Batman suit I like, and even then, it gets ruined by the silly as fuck sunglasses in the last third of the film.
The Knightmare version is kino tho
Its always the fucking Returns suit lol And I like the 89 suit a lot. But Xoomers cannot let it go.
>
The eyeholes look the most retarded.
it looks like a bunch of wrinkly duck tape
The Justice League suit is entirely different from the BVS suit.
The man wearing it
>The Justice League suit is entirely different from the BVS suit.
Yeah, and the Justice League suit is awful. Bats v Supes Batsuit is great.
And Superman's Suit from Man of Steel is better than whatever Supes' wears afterwards.
Sirs... it wasn't supposed to go like this!
perfectly replicates the era they were going for
Here's one that does everything better. Looks like the body suit might be a lighter shade of black if you want to be autistic about that.
Best Batman suit. Best Batman.
>Best Batman.
Batman swearing, making death threats, and stabbing people was pretty lame.
"When I kill you -- and make mistake I will fucking kill you -- that I do it slow. I'm gonna honor that promise."

Man I fucking hate this aspect of human nature.
This thread is likely caused by revisionism, trolling, and or my fault because suddenly I care more about this stuff even though they were just as frequent as in the past
Yes, i actually like the opening Forever suit a lot
>Batman swearing,
grow up
>making death threats,
debatable but remember he was threatening the guy who killed his fuckin kid
>and stabbing people was pretty lame.
Do you think Batarangs are made of putty?
Every Batsuit has some flaw. Batman Begins is probably the closest to perfect
Adam West’s has a great color scheme, keeps the trunks and cloth, but the cowl is ridiculous
Michael Keaton’s is great, except the inflexible code fucks it up. Every time he turns around or looks up, he looks silly
The Schumacher suits would actually be good if not for the asses and nipples. I really wish Warner had shot that idea down. The thing is, the nipples and asses are so blatantly awful you can’t really overlook them. I can forgive West and Keaton having somewhat inadequate cowls, but the nipples just ruin it
Every suit from The Dark Knight up to The Batman has been too tacticool and messy, with way to much going on
An ideal perfect suit would be sleek Begins style body armor with Adam West colored cloth over the armor, (as opposed to wearing pure cloth or pure body armor, see pic). Gauntlents from Batman Begins, revolted blue of course, the yellow oval logo from Batman Returns, and a cowl similar in design to Keatons, colored blue, with a flexible neck
Oh and I forgot, West style utility belt
This painting by Alex Ross looks pretty much like an ideal Batman costume for live action
>grow up
Swearing is really cool and adult like. Especially for a character known to be stoic.
>debatable but remember he was threatening the guy who killed his fuckin kid
Joker murdered KeatonBats parents and he killed him in a much less autistic in character way. Even debatable if he did it intentionally.
>Do you think Batarangs are made of putty?
Rationalize it with "Muh realism" all you want. Fact is he didnt even use a batarang which would be more passible. He just picked him a goons knife and stabbed him. Clearly just there to show how edgy Batman is.
You grow up, my friend.
That can't translate to live action though. Ross does these in this outsized ultramasculine style, like Adams and Byrne and Lee and stuff, not his usual human proportions. But no actor is this jacked and material doesn't work this way.
>That can't translate to live action though
Prove it, show me an attempt to translate it to live-action that failed.
You can’t because nobody even tries.
>no actor is this jacked
Literally all of them can get jacked on a whim. Tom Hardy is generally a little skinny guy, but he’s been a hulking muscle monster in tons of movies. Christian Bale has played any body type. You watch any action movie from the 80s and you’ll see muscle-bound beefcakes comparable to an Alex Ross painting
>based on DKR
>was able to turn his neck in BvS
>is actually buff and looks like getting punched by him would hurt
>is grey/black instead of pure black
its the best live action batsuit minus continuing the shitty eye paint that magically disappears when they take the mask off
BatFleck is the only movie Batman which have a suit that could easily pass as a comic book suit, in a good way.
The only bad thing about Afleck's Bat-suit is that it do not have the black trunks.
>I'm Batman
user all these suits are digitally touched up anyway, the whole "actors can't look this way" flies out the window when padding and CGI can make them.
I liked the sonar suit
Is a fantastic suit and wilkinson is the best costume designer in Hollywood, you are a tasteless faggot
kino
I think the BvS Superman suit was better than the MoS one.
The MoS one looked like lizard skin. In BvS, they made the texture a little sparser, and that alone made him look less like a lizard and more like a knight or something.
Also, I know all of Snyder's movies have over-done colour grading, but why is MoS EVEN MORE desaturated than everything else he does? It looks so bland. Superman looks like he's wearing grey instead of blue.
The suit looks more vibrant in BvS. It has fewer of the pointless plastic pieces running down the sides. The thicker belt looks better. And also, why's his hair so big in MoS
Power Ranking
>2016 (I like how it's not armoured, it's weird newspaper texture, how it's black-and-grey… too bad he looks fat, tho)
>1989/1992 (I dunno, the '92 fits him better and is better constructed, and I like the deco steam engine look… but I also like the more matte finish of the '89, and get looks more batty)
>2012/1966 (even if the TDK suit is too busy,, I like how it's slimmer, making Batman actually look lithe and athletic for once. But I also love the mask sculpt and texture on West's suit)
>1997 (Doing the all blue is cool. The mask sculp and ear length is good)
>1943 (Something actually looks weird and unnerving about this. Like something somebody would wear during an occult ritual. I don't care if it's cheap by today's standards, it looks cool)
>1949 (Bat too big. And why does it have round ears?)
>1995 (A bit too shiny and organic)
Still trying to figure out where to slot 2022. I like going for a leather mask texture (though the back of his head is too bulbous), but the rest is too armoured/paramilitary for me.
It pretty much would be perfect. No useless distracting details, and a type of material that looks superheroic and durable for screen. Instead of it being some unflattering thing.
B&R was close. No reason they cant do an updated modern version.
All the Batman and Robin costumes are like a paintjob and some sandpaper away from being amazing. Warner prop department found an extra Batgirl costume from B&R and made a near perfect comic inspired version for the Birds of Prey TV show.
Batflek is about as good as its gonna get, would be perfect with the white eyes and black trunks
Sirs, the bitcoins are dropping sirs!
never liked how Keaton's face looked in the 2nd burton suit, maybe its the cowl and the mask.
It might have worked if they had somebody in shape wearing it instead of some random old fat guy
They hulk up for their topless shots only, user. All those scenes where you see their muscles through the costume? That's padding because even if they've still got their roid muscles those won't show through any fabric properly, all you'd get is the fabric stretched over the body with no muscle definition. So they go with costumes that allows them to glue it straight onto the padding to make it look and move a bit more like muscles.
Half those muscles don't exist, they wouldn't even exist in that painting without the perfect lighting
This costume is so bad I needed a palate cleanser, here's a good one Ben did.
Maybe this would look stupid but I like to imagine a Batman where he wears the tacticool armor to protect him from being stabbed or shot down easily, but then he wears a pretty simple fabric shirt over it. It would look cleaner, the armor under it would give him bulk, and the people he fights would be more like “what the fuck why is this giant dude in spandex not getting hurt by bullets” instead of just “oh that’s just a guy wearing armor”
batfleck? more like fatfuck
this
His face looks so squished
god i hate snyder and his shitty movies
no one asked
Kind of funny how far a masculine face will get you. By far Clooney has had the manliest face and in some shots he looks more intimidating than the others despite being the lightest one, with the help of the big ears. Something no absurd muscle suit or gear can add.
Same deal with his Batmobile. Its by far the most gothic and intimidating one, likely because it only goes for full stylization. Fatflecks Batmobile is tacticool, Keatons based on those badass high speed machines and sleek, Kilmers is half creature, and Bales just a tank.
Not with that rubber cowl
You guys are concentrating on the wrong this
Look at the suit itself, not the muscles of the guy in it
I think without the defined muscles the suit would just look silly
Nah
I think Im the only one who got the joke.
Those muscles do exist. If you know art and human anatomy you'd know this.
Yes, it would look silly as fuck in real life
It's the best suit you pleb.
It's ugly
Another low-res image, because were tired of looking at all the same ones.
Looks like it came straight from hell.
