Netflix is failing because they suddenly have actual competition, and that competition has taken content from Netflix (e.g. Netflix used to have access to almost everything and now everything is on its own streaming network)
Disney will likely get their tax breaks back once the current narrative is forgotten and the politicians need money because politics is literally theatre, hence why Disney didn't even do anything but issue a statement. Their streaming doesn't have diverse content (anything not Disney, Marvel, or Star Wars), so of course it's failing, they need to merge Hulu into D+ already.
DC hired Zach Snyder, who ran their universe into the ground before it could even get off, dividing a fan base and diluting the brand name to the point that WB is now basically letting whatever sticks to the wall stick

Netflix has always been in the hole, I thought this was common knowledge? Contracts with some of the most popular shows of all time aren't cheap, and neither is production of new stuff. They hoped that since they were getting bigger they would regain all that money eventually but now it's clear that they won't.
Streaming services had its value when nearly everything was on it instead of split across multiple platforms like it's currently is. Absolutely ridiculous at the price they are asking you to pay for it. Better off just pirating everything.

They're scaling back their animation studio because it was hemorrhaging money, producing shows that no one watched because Netflix never advertises anything.
DC is being rebuilt because Discovery wants it to be Marvel Studios 2.0, making billion dollar franchises out of each character.
The Disney/Florida mess is just a temporary dick-measuring contest until the GOP remembers how much tourism money Disney brings in and then lets them go back to doing whatever they want.

Western media had this dumb idea that politics can be a replacement for good stories, animation, characters, settings, and really anything else, and now they're suffering for it.

Netflix original content is garbage and it relied on shows from Disney, Viacom and others to get people interested in their business, and when those companies got their shows back Netflix's originals didn't do so hot and people left for other places.
Netflix raised their prices while also still having mediocre to shit content but for a few shows.
Now that these platforms have reached peak saturation in the west, their growth is going to basically crater.
They could try to appeal more to Asians, but very little of what they produce is interesting to Asians outside of South Koreans, and the stuff that they have that IS interesting is just stuff owned by other companies that they license for streaming.
