Fun little newspaper strip. I've really enjoyed the little I have read.

based ambiguous masochist cat, would hit with brick

I've liked every strip I've read. I may just dive into soon.

Pretty good though I think it's best when it gets to the Sunday Comics

FUUUCKK
I DON'T DESERVE A BRICK TO THE SKULL
KRAZY KUNT I'M SORRY

>KRAZY KUNT
How very dare you?

very affecting

Pure pottery

Confusing, surreal, and rarely funny. Which I think is the point.

Zoomer Moment.

Pure artistry.

Is very good. Does anyone has the strip were they break the 4th wall?

I wanted, but old strips don't get archived.

I have a couple like that, depending on how broken you want the wall. For light breaking, Ignatz makes a fairly frequent habit of leaning on the sides of the panels, like seen here

Then there's this one, where Ignatz directly speaks to the reader

Any good collections of the character out there?

I would like it better but sometimes is hard to make sense of it when your first language isn't english.

What is your native language?

I can't imagine trying to parse Kat's accent as a non-native speaker, even I have trouble with it sometimes. You have my sympathies

Read the first three years, it's good
Dislike the color pages so I haven't pursued the second book

Krazy & Ignatz from Fantagraphics is an exhaustive collection of all the Sunday strips. The dailies are harder to come by and is the only modern collection of the daily strip that I've come across, which is a reprint of what was apparently Herriman's longest storyline.

Damn.

I don't get it. I love Calvin and Hobbes, Pogo Penguin, Peanuts, etc and all of my favorite cartoonist's favorite comic strips are Krazy Kat. Yet, I don't really get it. Intellectually, I get it, Ignatz bonks Krazy with a brick, Krazy likes getting bonked with a brink, it's absurdism and advante guarde and other stuff, but I've tried to read it multiple times and just don't get it.

There's certain old stuff that I do get, Norman McKay's stuff is great! Krazy Kat I just can't get.

>Norman McKay
Winsor McCay?

I believe this is the one you're looking for. It just turned 100 this week.

Why does the cat have a nose?

Thank you.

>Norman McCay is a fictional character from the DC Comics mini-series Kingdom Come, where he acted as the narrator and de facto protagonist.
Most likely.

It's from the Levant.
