isn't that like every cartoon..?
I know the family is fuckable but outside of that, Argost was a great a villain oozing with charisma.
I wish they made a prequel about him fucking up the Secret Scientists in his mansion. Or did they do that and I just never saw it?
I have more difficulties of thinking of cartoons where the antagonist ISN'T the best character.
Not exactly if we are considering cartoons with multiple antagonists. Adventure Time, for example, has many antagonists that people would consider shit.
This thread is DELICIOUS
Cobra always had the coolest vehicles.
I dunno, the most recurring antagonists are probably Ice King and the Lich King. They're both pretty popular. Hell, even Lemongrab has his fans.
On the other hand, you have antagonists like Golb and Fern. I don't recall people being a fan of them.
>isn't that like every cartoon..?
Nah.
Not the avatar series. Great shows but God those villains are snore fests
Most video game adaptations.
Azula wasn't a snore fest, but I agree with you on everyone else.
>not enjoying based Zhao
Zhao was defeated too quickly to be enjoyed properly.
She wasn't a snore-fest but went full retard by the end
>jobs to zuko
>jobs to aang twice
Maybe if he won a fight I'd like him
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog
He-Man
Wander over Yonder
Wakfu
Over the garden Wall
Not just the best part, the only good thing in it period
That's most of them.
Yes.
But why?
Because a good protagonist can only be as "good" as the villain they oppose.
I had to watch a lot of this show babysitting my nephews, and all I remember is this guy (cause he was voiced by Richard Horvitz) and the fact that one of his minions was a monster girl who became a pirate just to try to pay off student loans.
Well, for one, they generally just plain look cooler. A lot of the time they have cooler voices. They have motives, that may be shitty in the real world, but are entertaining to watch in a fictional setting. If its some "evil" species, they usually come from a far more interesting culture than the heroes.
Technically an anime but who cares
DAM SON NICE
It's just easier to make a villain interesting than a hero (like pic related)
Donald Duck
All these. Plus 80s shredder and krang, Skeletor, SATAM and AoStH Robotniks, Kronk and Yzma, Gaston, Frollo, STAS L’ex Luthor, And Ratigan
SOUL
The 2000s really spoiled us with great villains. Argost is probably one of the most savage out them aside from Vilgax, but he's so charismatic that you forget until he reminds you with his actions.
You have no idea how hyped I was when I found out the finale was about him. Mojo Jojo was the best.
Artist from Tabaluga.
That green dragon was such boring gary stu, but snow robotnik makes up for him.
*ARKTOS
thanks, autocorrect
Wakfu. Nox'millian is literally the only good character

I found key chain guy to be the least appealing villain in the show.
...ah well, watched it mainly for the Banshee anyways
pretty sure Fern is the villian with most fangirls
I used to watch this as a kid. Years later after I stopped watching I caught on tv again and they added a pink girl dolphin that definitely wasn't around when the show started
Also I remember this villain's voice pretty well
Good answer.
Donald Duck is not an antagonist, Mickey is actually a real antagonist. If you want a real antagonist duck, here it is. Pic related.
These villains made me love that series.
Does it count if the antagonist is also the protagonist?
1000x more entertaining than the heroes
