what i don't like about this series is how retarded the world-building is. do you turn in one second? do you turn in days? there's no consistency. and don't even get me started on shit that is just patently retarded, like the crossed that jack off on their bullets, so the bullet infects people. like, seriously? it shows how little research the author does on basic concepts. and it's completely arbitrary who gets to be a super-crossed that actually thinks still. like if you're going to do the zombie thing, the only thing that holds the plot together is if the infection and zombies are consistent.

if it had atleast consistency going for it there would be more to it than just shock value and gore porn.

Let everyone know how it spreads and tell everyone to create distance between them and the crossed. Mobilize the airforce asap to bomb the shit out of affected areas. Tell the army to engage the crossed at a distance to minimize the chances of infection.

I sit back and relax because the idea of a lasting crossed infection is inherently stupid. They're still human. They don't even gain any new powers, they still die from infection, the cold, and poor nutrition. Most of the crossed will die out in a month tops. The smart ones can only survive so long before the military kills them (which is easier to do especially since the crossed have a giant mark on their face telling them which person to shoot)

The worst case scenario is what happened in the comics which was a couple of the smarter crossed somehow launched nukes which seem beyond unlikely.

i don't think they even launched the nukes themselves, they don't specify in the case of israel but the explosion at the start of the comics is from "pulling the control rods" at nuclear power plants, which shows how little thought they put into this shit considering it's literally impossible to make a nuclear power plant go off like a nuclear bomb.

thats a good point. it's a real leap of faith for him to have these stories with crossed lasting so long. they literally kill each other when they get bored, there's mathematically no sense in them persisting past a year or two en masse

You seem to forget how easily the infection spreads with even a single drop of infected bodily fluid going into your mouth eyes or wounds infecting you plus while zombies are just brain dead asshole that infect you buy trying to eat you. Crossed are fully aware they are contagious and will attempt to infect you buy putting their blood and piss all over their blades and bullets or just spitting in your face during a fight.

The first series, WYWH and 100 are actual stories are worth reading imo. Most of the arcs from Badlands are edgy trash that either leave you feeling empty or give a dark comedy chuckle. That's about it for experience with the series.
