How do you write anti-mutant sentiment without it coming off as cartoony? Their hate for mutants is always so irrational and a thinly veiled analogy for le heckin ignorant rednecks.
The debate would be more similar to gun rights discourse IRL.

I think you just answered your own question

I want the MCU first mutant film to look like the civil rights movement in the south. Basically by the end of the first film you have normal Heroes helping out mutants and people screaming mutants are all evil Aleister sides like in real life white supremacist on now.

>Their hate for mutants is always so irrational
I mean you could say the same about people who hate minorities. That doesn't seem like a mistake, its the point.

You know how when a hack writer makes a villain with a good point they have to reduce said villain to a deranged psychopath so that the heroes never have to refute him?
That's basically how Marvel handles the anti-mutant people. They're all violent rednecks because otherwise the writers would have to address how terrible the X-Men are at their jobs.

Attached: x-men-cure-01.png (650x1336, 1.12M)

So why does it seem like it's the normal thing in most of America to hate mutants with a passing? Where in America is it normal to hate any minority group that much among the general population? We should see more Super Heroes standing up to it.

Alright. Here’s something I’ve never understood why are mutants hated? For all intents and purposes, the X-Men are superheroes. Most mutants in general are heroes, with some exceptions such as Apocalypse. I understand that the X-Men were original inspired by the marginalized groups of the time, but in universe, the allegory doesn’t work. A citizen of the Marvel universe need simply look at the intent of the X-Men to see their superheroes. Hell, the Avengers wouldn’t allow mutants to be members if they were blatantly evil. I think this perception of the X-Men should either end, of they should be made into an actual marginalized group.

> mudkiphat
Faggots that miss the point are the worst

If it's being done today I'd have them start out with humans viewing mutants fairly normally, although natural questions and concerns about them being powerful, ect. Have a mutant with a human friend who asks questions sort of like Ned and Spider-Man.

"Can you read minds?"
"Yeah"
"Are you reading my mind?"
"No, do you want me to."
"No, I mean...maybe?"
"You're my friend, I wouldn't snoop without your permission" ect.

But have the circumstances of the film end up with a fight between the X-men and the villain of the film that destroys a lot of property, and in this circumstance, psychic person finds it necessary to mind control that person or something.

And while it's all done for good it does freak them out, their free will taken to perhaps do something they'd never do otherwise and feel violated, ect, and sort of fall apart and the fear grows, and reflects with the masses wanting more control and laws over mutants because Times Square looks like it got hit by a bomb and ended up killing 500 people.

We need to see more mutants being actual threats to humanity to justify the stupidity. Show assholes who are genuinly using their powers to terrorize normal people.

First you need to avoid treating mutants like a 1:1 equivalent to a real world minority group. This always ends up falling apart when you think about it for any length of time, and it gives the hack writers plenty of opportunities to accidentally imply something offensive about the groups they're trying to be in favor of.
Second you either need to tone down the extreme obnoxiousness of marvel civilians and treat them like actual human beings, or you need to acknowledget that they aren't completely deluded being afraid of mutants. The way they're currently written is so over the top it causes mental whiplash.

Very simple.
Write more catastrophes in which mutants lose control and fucking cause havoc.
More so now that more mutants are being born as mutants rather than awakening their powers in their teens.

>Their hate for mutants is always so irrational
Hate for mutants is very rational. They have no self-control and go on a rampage every five fucking seconds after which they cry that they are being persecuted. Even the "good" mutants are condescending to normal humans and view themselves as hierarchical masters in some way.

>the hate for minorities is irrational
Yeah bro they're just like us

Because no white person's ever been that stupid?

>No more Niggers!
>Protect White lives!
>Niggers are violent, we won't be silent!
You say it's caroony, /pol/ says it's what a based and redpilled America should be.

Real patriotic Americans shart in marts

Please find the white person who shitted in a crowded subway
Please do

Marvel civilians being literal crazed nazis has been a believability problem for as long as this X-gimmick has existed.
No, fear of them is rational. Hate, especially the kind that leads to attempting to start shit with people with nuclear laser hands that you sincerely believe are dangerous and out to get you, is preposterously irrational.

See

It's right to hate people who want to kill or enslave you.

Storm fans tend to be made up of the same kind of crazy black/black-adjacent women and queer people that worship Beyonce.

>mutants are condescending to normal humans and view themselves as hierarchical masters in some way
If you had special powers you'd think yourself better than regular people don't lie. So i don't blame mutants for that i would act the same.

>rambling bullshit no one cares about
The left can't meme

So mutants are right. Gotcha.

It's a bunch of white people doing something incredibly stupid. And I'm making an argument not a meme.

>Every black person is a hotep
So, do you have an argument or what?

I thought The Incredibles handled this really well. Although you sympathize with the supers for having to go into hiding, there is no doubt that average people have really legit concerns about supers dictating their lives, misusing their powers, and the collateral damage they cause.
Hack comic writers could never handle this much nuance (and it isn't even a lot).

He's literally an internet provocateur who pulls stuff like this for entertainment and views.

Comic writers never address the logical consequence of villains going on a rampage when supers are banned.

Sorry I can't hear you over the sound of you reaching for the officer's gun

Lmao it writes itself. You're telling me people are unreasonable to fear THIS?

You actually used this as a defense

are you asking us to supply you with scat porn? this is a blue board user.

That's literally what it is you tard. He has 6 million followers on tiktok.

/pol/ is cartoony. they act like hollywood bad guys... some because they think it's cool, some because they think it's funny, some really are unhinged and believe what they say, but either way /pol/ is just not a proper representative of regular people
Going back to the main topic of discussion, it's just lazy writing. You can't make a bunch of stupid irrational characters, and then say "this is a race allegory and these people are racists. They are dumb because racists are dumb."
I mean, I guess you can, considering Marvel's been doing it for 50+ years, but it's still lazy writing.

How does that nullify anything I said

If /pol/ is a cartoon why do you cry about them every waking minute of the day?

>Here’s something I’ve never understood why are mutants hated?
Originally mutants were supposed an allegory not for racism or homophobia or whatever, but for TEENAGERS going through puberty. The racism thing was there, don’t get me wrong, but it was mostly about what a confusing time it is to grow up while a bunch of changes are happening to your body. That’s why romance drama has always been such a big part of the franchise, because teenagers are always dealing with that shit. Later writer started to lean into the bigotry allegory more but the teenager thing has never really left. Anyway to answer your question, due to the chemical changes their bodies are going through, teenagers often feel like the world is out to get them and the X-Men like to feed into this feeling by having a world that is literally out to get them.

You want to get people out of jail for hate crime so you just called them fake hate crime?

>I guess you can, considering Marvel's been doing it for 50+ years.
I'd only say 35 to 40. There wasn't any anti mutant racism in the Lee and Kirby run. Claremont was the first writer to do so before that mutants were incredibly rare. Infact in Lee Xmen the us army teams up with the X-men to destroy the sentinels.

>pretend a stunt is serious behavior so you can scream about black people
Don't bother trying to act like that's not what you were doing. At no point did you even vaguely hint that you thought that picture was a joke and you were really outraged by the style of comedy.

Have you actually read anything where mutants don't somehow make everything worse?

Imagine being so yurobsessed you actually save that image lmao

I have a whole folder so it's up to you at this point

>shitting in public is okay if its for tiktok views

>REEEEEEE NIGGERS
le sigh

If he were white he'd be in jail
Cope

Has anti-mutant sentiment ever been properly expressed by an actual representative of a human person? I'm just gonna confess this right now: I've never actually read an X-men comic. That being said, I've see myriads of screenshots from them over the years, and they're just like OP... unhinged angry rednecks in a big crowd carrying signs and yelling at mutants.
Hokey though it is, the famous "black skins" line in Green Lantern is actually a pretty good example of a regular human person going "what the hell is all this cosmic space crap? I'm trying to live a normal life, what do you superpowered freaks do for me?"

Attached: imgonline-com-ua-twotoone-nxdfYCn5aDiD7o0n.jpg (1160x2284, 1.2M)

I'm pretty sure the police are lot harder on black people in America than they all on white despite how much you want it quiet it's easier to make lines when black you're more likely to get convicted of a crime you didn't if you're black and get a hard to send instead if you're guilt and white.

Yeah, because black people don't get arrested in New York.
Considering he has other material where he wears a G-string in public, I'd need to see proof that he's actually shitting and not just parked up there to be shocking.

Marvels by Kurt Busiek did a good job with it I think. You see how mutants are seen by people who don't know much about them, and have no powers or relationship to the superhero community, when the idea of "They're the next step in human evolution. They're going to replace you, you're obsolete" starts going around.

This. the original Kirby/Lee X-men was basically what if we combined our most popular books, FF and Spider-Man. So it's a book following a family like super team but they're all "relatable" teens with powers, And mutant was just an excuse to not write a in depth origin story for any of the characters.

Sorry, what point are you pretending you were making about black people now?

>Their hate for mutants is always so irrational and a thinly veiled analogy for le heckin ignorant rednecks.

No, it's perfectly logical for people to be affraid of mutants; they could literally explode with the force of a nuke, kill people if there powers trigger when they're upset.
They're quite literally ticking time bombs.

It's always this time and a again "No More Mutants!" "Death to Mutants" "Mutants Go Home" Change fucking record.

>shiieet mane why did 12 jump me for punching dat old asian lady in da back of da head

>act like shit
>be surprised when cops think you're up to no good

>white people never commit insurance fraud
You're embarrassingly pathetic, and there are much less retarded ways for you to earn a vacation.

Oh my God you think someone on Twitter cannot be lying?

Sure are a lot of seething trannies ITT. I dunno why they feel the need to defend a race of 'people' who wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

Saying black people behave like a stereotype all the time is not an argument.

>Samefagging this hard

Except the problem is that they're depicted with hate as the driving emotion, not fear. Civilians, in particular mobs, don't rush toward things they're terrified of. If they were truly afraid instead of hateful, they'd be trying to keep clear of the local mutant, not piss them off or make them feel threatened. Racism against mutants should take the form of ostracism and low-key discrimination, not being chased by angry mobs.

>streetshitting is okay if its views
literally WORLSTAHHHH tier retardation

So, the point you're pretending you were making is? It's definitely not that since you had to be told what that's actually a picture of, and you still haven't provided evidence that he actually did that.

This is also where I disagree with
>The debate would be more similar to gun rights discourse IRL.
It would have some elements of that, but overall it would look much more like a reactionary anti-minority movement. The fear of being replaced is powerful in people who are the norm of a given society, the idea that they and their way of life will not last, whether the supposed threat is Islam, immigrants, Atheism, queerness, etc. Seeing people who look like freaks and monsters, and hearing that that's the future of humanity? Yeah, there's gonna be some backlash to that.

Attached: you will not replace us sign.png (1300x914, 2.51M)

surely its just racism it can't possibly be because black kids are indoctrinated that dem ebil whitey is out to get them so they sperg out any time someone in any uniform so much as looks at them
