Hello fans, we are here yet again for another installment of “Worst Toonami Performances of All Time!” Last week, Shenmue shot up again while the rest of the night couldn’t ride that wave. This week, we see the return of a strange phenomenon, with Shenmue crashing hard, but every show except for AoT actually doing better than it did last week. Shenmue has show many times that it’s performance, be it good or bad, does not set the tone for the rest of the night. No other lead show has done this before. And of course I didn’t forget to mention, once again Naruto outdid One Piece.

An unfortunate break for Shenmue, charting its first sub 200k performance this late in its run. But, the good news for it is that it did not increase its hold on the list. 2 of 3 of its final episodes need to avoid the list to prevent it from holding a majority.
Oh, and we achieved our goal of everything sub 220k. Next goal is sub 210k, it’s closer than you think.

That’s a slot gone forever
So all we have left are Shenmue and AoT ending in a few weeks, and Assclass ending in June. We are obviously going to get Yashahime S2, that alone claims a slot till next year. Food Wars S5 is a safe bet, which is 12 weeks. But we also have to keep a slot free for Housing Complex C, as well as 4 weeks of Uzumaki. Combine those 3 things together and that’s one more slot gone. That leaves just one slot unaccounted for, and it’s the troublesome lead slot. With no sequels or originals to air for the next 6 months, Demarco either has to take a massive risk on a fresh show, or fall back to his default of Kai/Super reruns. Which one do you think he will choose?
I like Lupin. I really do. I know it's going to absolutely tank, though.

I can't believe we're getting Lupin Part 6 so soon, it just finished airing only a month ago in Japan. Didn't we have to wait like a year or 6 months before Part V aired? At least we finally have a good show on Toonami again.

Now that all the dubbing companies (except Viz, I guess) aren't gonna work with Toonami anymore, there's one obvious solution: Have [as] dub some old undubbed anime themselves. (Not new undubbed anime because Crunchyroll and AMC owned Sentai will just snap them up.)

Demarco has said multiple times he has other priorities now and can't be bothered to pick content anymore. The block is going to mostly placeholders just so they have an audience for his originals.
