Restating my review:
I liked this episode. It was very comfy, and it was nice to see Eda and Raine becoming friends in the quaint pre-romantic stage without a hitch, unlike Amity and Luz's relationship.

The revelation that Raine wasn't brainwashed was well done and foreshadowed effectively, and I think it was implied that Darius is in on the conspiracy, which is almost certainly based.

All in all, I give it 9/10.

Reposting from last thread: I genuinely have nothing against non-binary people but there's just something effortless and comfortable about seeing Raine as a kid with a girly voice compared to how "stuck in-between" they are as an adult with their look and voice. Feels like people are just wired to want to sort everyone into one of two boxes and not conforming to one of them causes strain where there usually isn't any, it's like looking at one of those AI-created images that look like they're stuff but is actually just visual noise.

My least favorite thing about this episode was the dreary set dressing, I get that they're trying to convey the boredom of these events but empty depressing event halls just aren't my idea of magic world environments, they could've done them up a little
