Star Trek: Next Generation TAS
Awesome
It really is, it’s just such a well crafted love letter
Neat!
Apparently the guy who animated it was going to initially do it as a April Fools Prank/Present for his wife but wanted to make sure it was perfect
He even put a Caitian at the helm
Newfag detected. That's a kzinti.
thats a kzin you farter
Oh you’re right my mistake. I honestly completely forgot about them
Just what I needed to put a smile on my face.
He married the right woman.
>1990
>animated like it's the 70's and not like it's by some Jap studio.
>Star Trek TNG is now Yea Forums related
I mean there are a ton of comics featuring TNG but I agree with your sentiment
>That borg cube
Easy mistake
The only reason Riker steps over chairs is because he has no ass to get in the way
Love it.
He’s boned so many people that his ass had lost its curves
He came his glutes out
I can finally put my deanna folder to good use.
When you have that much swagger you don’t need an ass
Please do!
I'm did he draw Riker off scale? I thought he dwarfed everyone in the show.
It's very retro. Almost like Jack Kirby. It looks actually pretty.
Wasn’t thinking like that but now that you say it does have a kind of kirbyesque vibe to it
Love it.
Great stuff perfectly nails the old show.
Looks like the rest of the channel is puppet shows which is pretty cool too seeing kids entertainment with real props still being a thing.
They apparently did a bunch of videos for the Thunderbirds anniversary a few years ago
this made my day, man, I want good star trek content so bad.
Likewise, this short little video blows all of Nutrek out of the water
YOU'RE LIKE THIS WHEN YOU GOTTA BE LIKE THIS
>Well Jay this reminds me of this one episode of Star Trek
Ok, how would you campify Deep Space 9?
Well from the interview he gave, the animator may do more and DS9 may definitely be in the cards
>IT'S REAL!
That should've been animated by Brad Neely.
youtube.com
While that would be interesting personally I think any scene from Trials and Tribbleations would be neat to see animated
The best part about watching the Borg cube move was he even simulated the dust on the celluloid as it slid over the background.
Yeah that was such a nice touch also the weird jankyness of Picard and Riker when Worf is moving and the fact that the turbo lift door is open
>He married the right woman.
And she married the right man.
Absolutely NAILED the look and feel of the old ST:TAS, right down to the music riffs. I'm impressed.
I like it, but I think it would better if he emulated a late 80s/early 90s cartoon style rather than TAS.
Believe it or not, at one point there really was a Timmverse-style animated Trek show in development back in the 90's. Could've been cool.
My bad, looks like it was pitched back in 2006. Still
Inject this shit into my veins
>Timmverse-style animated Trek
This would work well with DS9, as it's a bit more gritty. What should the other series be? I could kind of see a TTG style comedy version of Voyager working.
This was great.
I didn't even know that they had been making new seasons until a few days ago. Turns out I didn't know for good reason.
Sorry to burst your bubble
Unironically based.
Woah a colour gradient in the phaser beam? Seems pretty opulent for 70s animation.
feels like an old lost cartoon network bumper
What an immaculately crafted ship!
How can one guy design such a beautiful and exotic ship that's basically just a fucking cube, and the best an entire team of industry twats can come up with is the USS Disovery?
>Sisko
>both fists clenched
>eyes closed
>Looking upwards,
>mouth cell opens twice moderately.
