No.

Those character designs look awful. They should have gone with the ones they did for the 2012 Ninja Turtles.

The porn will be, that's fo' shizzle.

>CGI
>Netflix
>THE NEXT GENERATION meme
No way in hell.

Probably not, but hopefully it will be entertaingly bad.

>Netflix.
Who are they making black?

Tomoe

Im just happy if Stan gets a check

Oh hell fuck no.

Gen

Possibly Jei

>Adaptation of older property in 2020+2
No, it probably won't be good.

Why is there a bird

IF TMNT can be "watered down" for kids and still be good, I don't see why Usagi can't either.

>Nobody storytimed today
Shamefur dispray (no pun intended)

I think it looks promising and will be a surprise hit, not like it matters since it'll be cancelled after the second season which as usual the second season is just part of the original episode order that Netflix splits up in "2 seasons' so about 20 episodes total.

Tengu

better question: do you think people who dont follow comics will care about this

I just hope we at least get Sasuke and Jei

I want Stan to be successful.
But I don't see how this can be good.

More importantly, please tell me he's male.

It's a spin-iff and therefore a much less drastic reinterpretation of the comic than the original TMNT cartoon. As for quality, who knows. We'll see in a few days.

Murder's PC finally succumbed to the plague of those barbarians from the south.

I figured somebody else would take up the mantle and storytime for today. I would have done it if I wasn't out working.

The crossover with TMNT was the best animated adaptation we have to this day of Usagi Yojimbo.

Which of the three?

I heard it suddenly started to display images straight from Lord Enma's hell and drove Murderanon mad!

2004 TMNT

Not him, but I call 2003. It had Hebi, Noriyuki, Gen, Tomoe and even Chizu.

No. It was the Taiko, and I don't mean the drum. He sent his kagemusha and they mushaed him in the kage.

The most we can hope for is that it won't be the bridge of tears for fans.

Bird tengu. I dont think they are actually the kind of tengu you want to learn swordsmanship from.

Probably. Isn't Stan writing the story?

the most we've got is Stan saying
“It is a pleasure working with Gaumont and Netflix. I am involved in each step of the production and am enthusiastic with the direction we are going into”
back in 2020. How much he's involved with each step is unclear, but I don't think he's the lead on anything considering he's been putting out comics during the production. I figure at best he's been checking in on production every so often to make sure things aren't going off the rails.

Why are anthro girls so sexu?

it looks like kung fu panda

I hinestly don’t understand why they don’t just adapt the comic. Usagi isn’t iconic enough for any kids to know who he is. Next Generation stuff usually needs there to be weight to what it’s a legacy of.

I'll take what I can get. If Stan's happy with the final product and gets good money out of it, all that matters. The rabbit boy is lowkey cute.

makes sense since it's the same studio that made the Kung Fu Panda tv series

In another timeline we got an Usagi adaptation with a similar style to Samurai Jack

>in every episode with the informant you see him in the background with a different low wage job, perfect for collecting info unseen
>janitor informant, cashier informant, uber driver informant...
All of my yes.

scary

I wonder if Stan will draw these characters in his style

I only pray it does not kill the potential for any future animated Usagi projects.
If we have to deal with one mediocre series to get the chance of a more proper Usagi series, I will count that as a positive.

>Artist of a comic made in the 80's that amasses a cult following over the years signs off on a questionable 3D adaptation
>It becomes clear things have been changed for the worse but many fans are still hopeful
>The adaptation is worse than expected and kills prospects of a future good adaptation in the near future
>the artist dies a few years later and any plans for better future adaptations are shelved permanently

I pray I am wrong

Where did Murder get the images? Readcomicsonline doesn't have the story notes or bonus covers.

we didn't know how good we had it, bro

That is a tengu, who actually show up in the comic a couple times.

He mentioned the name that shouldn't be named and it basically outright exploded and died.

>I hinestly don’t understand why they don’t just adapt the comic.
Because it's literally impossible for any western studio that's not the goddamn French, and even that's a toss up. Usagi is full of WAY too much character murder, wanton slaughter, attempted rapes, outright suicides and other assorted crap to be safely or properly adapted and everyone knows it. This recent series seems to be trying to skirt around that by making the enemies yokai abominations, but even then, you can tell they aren't going to adapt say, Jei accurately if he ever shows up.

Stan probably settled on this as a compromise since he knew he'd be getting nothing otherwise.

Would be kind of funny to see a Japanese studio adapt it, and now the lip sync is now in Japanese as well

>I can see the future mental illness...
Twitter: "Chizu is coded black and should not colored without this pantone color. Here is a color guide and do not sexualice her. White cis-gender people should now that she is lesbian and part of the LGBTARDPHJVNZAWUARDO+ community. We hate hetero normative relationships pushed by the alt right. Every problem is because of Trump!, He is the one behind all the problems. Long live Black lives matter and trans rights, my pronoms are XIV and Frit ."

I also get mad at things that I made up.

I don't think it's the mature elements per se, since off the top of my head the Netflix Castlevania had murder, slaughter, and rape. The real issue is that those elements were often very subdued due to Stan rarely drawing blood or wounds due to the cartoony artstyle. It always gave the feeling that Stan didn't want to revel in the violence too much. It's just a weird situation where an adaptation without all the more adult themes feels lacking, but on the other hand one that was too flashy with the gore would feel out of place as well.

Those models feel too "clean".
They need a little more detail imo.
Also Usagi's ears are way too fuckin' small.

>Usagi is full of WAY too much character murder, wanton slaughter, attempted rapes, outright suicides and other assorted crap
Then why does it feel so wholesome?
