In his own comic, the Black Hood was unmasked in front of everyone and couldn't wiggle out of it. He opened a detective agency and is operating as Kip Burland, a nod toward the fading of super-heroes in popularity.

I can't put my finger on it but the art is getting less wild Golden Age and more deadpan 1950s.

I liked Suzie, but she was kind of a one-joke premise,. Bill Woggon will enjoy much greater success with Katy Keene, who gets her own title.

Not sure why Joe bothers to get into costume, he's acting the same as he did as an FBI agent. Maybe he talks the Black Hood around this time about giving us the colorful outfits.

By this time Veronica must know Archie doesn't have money. But she goes out with him because the predicaments he goes through entertain her,.

I figured out who the head of the loan shark syndicate was from his first appearance.

But how come everyone knows who the Black Hood is? Was it revealed in some comic other than "Pep"?

Has the black hood dropped his costumed identity entirely now?
