>As the dust settles after the battle with the Anti-Guardian, John Stewart, Jo Mullein, and the rest of the Corps pick up the pieces and adjust to their new status quo. The day might be saved, but there’s still plenty of work to be done. Everything you know about Green Lanterns is about to change!
Green Lantern #12 Storytime
bump if you're reading
Is this the final issue?
Marvel did it first.
I think so
Weird
... so just a retread of Ion and the Kyle white Lantern stuff.
end. thanks for reading
Is Jessica still fucked?
What about Kyle?
But this time it is a black man. More progressive.
I can't keep up with GL corp-destroying cataclysms and status quo changes at this point.
Can someone summarize what's the new norm for the corps and main characters for me?
Did anyone actually get a feel for who John is in all this? Like the Master Builder in Mosaic built on who he was and the situation he was in. This was... “here power. Resolve conflict”
>And then he and the rest of the Justice League died.
Thanks for the storytime, op. Have a good day.
hopefully thorne has a heart attack and dies before he can launch the new series.
yes, by me, right this moment.
It’s also just warmed over Moasic leftovers...
Kek
Is the book being relaunched? Or is the brand dead like Aquaman after KSD?
cool
Some time in 2022 we’re getting “John Stewart and the Emerald Knight” no words on a GL book.
So... Green Lantern is dead long live John Stewart I guess.
I like the Simon/Jo thing but it's just diet SimonJess.
Lot of good Simon gimmicks.
First we got Iron man Simon with a built in blaster and now we got Medium Simon with new costume.
>Or is the brand dead like Aquaman after KSD?
There's multiple Aquaman books out right now you doublenigger.
Not every character needs to have an ongoing every time, especially if nobody has actually any good pitches.
I haven't had a feel for John since he was in the warriors bar stacking toothpicks. I think that was in 2008.
They fucked him man. They fucked him hard.
Just more evidence they're in the same omniverse.
>Not every character needs to have an ongoing every time
No ongoing is a bad sign of a character’s life.
this made me racist
Having a terrible ongoing that's just being held up by movie-tie-in cross promotion or nepotism fueled by some hack's character favoritism is a bad sign of a character's life.
I'd rather have no ongoing than have a shitty run like Dick had with Ric.
I guess yeah it's probably a negative that not a lot of creators have the energy to provide good pitches for what should be a solid DC B-Lister, but I don't really give a shit. Fantastic Four had no ongoings for much longer than Aquaman did and I'm still not going to read whatever garbage Slott is shoveling there despite how much I like the team.
what how?
Thank god this trash got cancelled
This writer should be banned from GL
AND NO WYTE MAN WAS RELEVANT EVER AGAIN
... there is a direct follow up of this already announced.
as a Kylefag I now hate black people that I do not personally know and like already irl
Thorne is one of those people who make me reconsider racism as a bad thing
I kinda get it. This shit on a lot of loved characters to fail at pushing the diversity crew. And it's not like Teen Lantern was loved beforehand. Benching Guy to push Bendis's creation for the Xth time in the name of diversity well... it's not a good pattern.
