Legend of the Three Caballeros

How many people do you think assume José is Mexican?

A lot probably. I've met plenty of people who can't differentiate between Mexico and South America.

You'd be surprised how many people I've met don't grasp that Spanish is not Portuguese and vice-versa.

My SA dad has a million stories of Mexicans in the US having communication errors from all the slang and translation issues. I love how he can speak to another dark skinned person and within seconds they know about which country they're from.

It's her month

Younger people who were introduced to him as part of the Three Caballeros? That group schtick has a more general South America feel, the older José animation bits and his introduction to the world in particular was selling heavily the fact he is Brazilian.

She's so excited!

The show looks like ass. And thats what people defend over DT17?

makes me think of that episode of rick and morty where they go to the amazon rainforest

>Has zero breasts for clamps
>Even Daisy barely has some
Has to be for Xandra

>And thats what people defend over DT17?
Not because of that, but something else. Because Legend of the Three Caballeros was better in terms of story, art style, characters and focus on Donald Duck. Donald had a much better role than both versions in Ducktales. Well Donald was portrayed as a sailor serving the Navy at OG Ducktales and was in 8 episodes because Roy Disney didn’t want to show famous sixes in some of the Disney Afternoon series at the time until those series gained popularity.

Donald had a good role in the Ducktales reboot, but the DT17 crew especially Angones did not have a good collaboration with Tony Anselmo which made Donald a more minor character but unfortunately he was also poorly treated in his family and ironically unlike Lot3c, Daisy is was much better to Donald than his family. Not to mention how they ruined the characters April, May and June who instead of being Daisy’s nieces, became Scrooge’s daughters and Webby is April, which is a horror.

It is unfortunate that the Legend of the three caballeros, who had good potential, failed due to cover-ups by Disney. Although the first season was great, the attempt to appear on Disney channels did not get enough viewership to win the second season. Yet the good thing is that Disney no longer refuses to admit that the series doesn’t exist since it was shown last year on Disney XD.

>implying they're not clamping onto her little nubs of DFC
>implying they can't be placed on her clit
>implying they're not for Donald when he gets back
Use some imagination

The answer is already by user:I would also add that it is more because today's Disney did not care so much about José Carioca that he is Brazilian, but they show him all the time with Panchito and two characters with the same personalities turn out, so there is such confusion that he is Hispanic and not at all. This has been the case since the House of Mouse where José calls himself Jose (Hose), which is a Spanish accent, not Brazilian Portuguese.

And such a mistake was repeated several times. Even in the Legends of the Three Caballeros, José presented himself as Jose (Hose), not as José. It is also a little difficult for Americans to pronounce a word in Brazilian Portuguese, so it always turns out to be a Latin Spanish accent. Although the Ducktales reboot partially corrected that, that series made a mistake because they portrayed José and Panchito as two characters with the same personalities.

Luckily, there are Mickey Mouse Cartoons by Paul Rudish portrayed José in the right way, and the actors portrayed him as a real Brazilian. Of course, José was not bad in the Legends of the Three Caballeros either, he had good personalities and great tricks with him, the only problem was the pronunciation of his name from himself.

Panchito turned out to be phenomenal in Legend of the Three Caballeros, so I can say the best version of him after the original version in the movie The Three Caballeros.

You don't care, do you or can't you read?

>today's Disney did not care so much about José Carioca that he is Brazilian
That brings to mind that time disney made a "hispanic pride month" picture or something along those lines and included José in it... despite him not really being hispanic.

it's a great friendship moment too with Jose rushing in to help even the odds once the brawl gets underway thanks to Donald blowing up at both Panchito and Sheldgoose. I think between this and his few moments of using his umbrella as a sword it really emphasizes Jose's got a spine beneath the cashmere and girly scream. Also a mild interesting thing that the girls were spared actually seeing them get vaporized due to the broken mirror even if they took their death in stride. That's some real confidence in getting them back once Xandra delivered the news. Would've been a hell of a scene given how happy they were to be welcoming the trio home and only Xandra returned.

The original movie was nothing but propaganda to get Brazil and Mexico committed to the war effort

In Mexico, the term used to describe people like Panchito is "maricón"

He sincerely loves his two friends in this show, to the level of seeing them as brothers. He really springs into action and gets defensive when he thinks they need help, and that's when you notice he really has the confidence to get out of his panicked, sophisticated state and really start fighting. Really one of the reasons I've been so attached to this show is the sincerity it has in relationships like this when almost every show now is just hyper-ironic.
>That's some real confidence in getting them back once Xandra delivered the news
They knew they were getting their boyfriends back, no sweat.

Not many, from the adults watching that is, I'm still sad that José and Panchito had to be downgraded from their rather old designs, the former can't smoke or drink and the latter can't shoot his problems away, then again José in particular dresses like he never left the 50s.

Most of American media made during the 40s and 50s were nothing more than propaganda. That doesn't mean creative people were behind, trying to make a living while not pissing off uncle Sam

Isn't José Carioca though? It's in his fucking name.

you mean tapatios

Laziest take you could make

>Really one of the reasons I've been so attached to this show is the sincerity it has in relationships like this when almost every show now is just hyper-ironic
Sincerity goes a long way and the VAs deliver instead of sounding bored all the time.
>They knew they were getting their boyfriends back, no sweat.
And failing that all their stuff waiting to be pawned like they said would have dulled the pain.

Needs a snappy image to accompany it.

The mexican airforce had Panchito as their mascot so I guess it worked!

>All those small cool places that have been ruined by popularity and over-travel over time.
God, it's weird to think this actually shows how old the Three Caballeros are as they were used to advertise travel and tourism to Mexico and South America.

To be fair, I doubt most people even know the difference between Spanish and Portuguese, let alone introducing Brazilian Portuguese into that mix. Speaking of BR hue hue, I could go for a caipirinha. They make them in a bar nearby but they barely put any sugar in it.
