same. it wouldn't even have to JUST be storm, it could be an origin story where she's the main character but xavier and some x-men come to pick her up. x-men unlimited did some character development stuff, it could even be like that. there could even be a second storm movie, but she's the leader of the x-men and it's basically an x-men movie with her calling the shots and being cool, summoning lightning and ice and shit. she could even have an ice context with iceman. they're both extremely powerful mutants that fuck with the laws of thermodynamics. iceman is specialist but her powers are WAAAAY more broad

Seems justifiable seeing as superheroes have an arbitrary level of strength that isn't tied to any sort of natural patterns or laws. It doesn't break the verisimilitude of the setting to have the most powerful characters be women.

If they had played her true to the original comics, she could have had a fun origin movie. If they tried to play her true to the Nextwave comics, she could make for a fun lead character surrounded by idiots.
