Why are there so many goth girls in cartoons, especially in the 2000's?

Goth girls are visions, but only illusions
Goth girls are great (aesthetically )
Because they're hot, but they're shit people irl.
Gross.
Goth girls were/are a dying breed, it was immediately noticeable in those days and so based cartoon creators decided to imprint the idea of a goth girl gf in kids minds so that future generations could revive the image.
>especially in the 2000s
it isn't any specific time. they've been a think since like the late 1970s, certainly 80s
Scene girls were the rage back then
been a thinG*
easy stereotype to design and write
Because goth girls are the best especially goth cunny
>why are there so many goth girls in the 00s
Because mallgoths were everywhere. Why do we need to have this thread every week?
Szandora was all the rage in the 00's
I blame these cartoons for molding my taste for gothic women
Because the animators of those shows were kids to young adults in the 80s-90s when Goth was big in pop culture, and people write/draw/animate what they already know
Hawt
It takes a sad individual to like another sad individual. Pretty much explains a ton.
We'll never get a HT movie where Mavis fights an evil version of her self....I mean we still could, but it won't be any good.
18 year olds work in cartoons now.
Why do you keep posting this in every thread?
Was the last movie without Adam Sandler and Mavis even good?
Lol
Because they're so frickin hot
Remember, goths don't fall in love with nerds. The best you'll ever get from them is being study buddies.

Gwen was the best character on that show goth or not. I always wanted her to win.
They remain very relevant to people that make and watch cartoons
She did win
I miss goths, and grunge, and Gorillaz music videos that had a budget. What are the 2010s even gonna be remembered for in terms of style?
We'll know once the 2010s become nostalgic
It already is in the sense that we call it the "Before Times."
>80s-90s when Goth was big in pop culture,
That kind of seems like a giant stretch to say. Goths definitely were around in that era but they were still pretty underground and the idea of what a "goth" character was only really solidified in the 2000s. Though I do agree with the animators writing what they knew about given that the entire goth subculture was about focusing on art and going against society's expectations, it only makes sense that cartoonists of the time would have probably hung out with those same people
You're not alone
Does Ash even count as goth? Punk maybe, but I never got a goth vibe from her.
Yeah, but they seem to have gotten more common in fiction in the 2000s.
You are not a real goth if you don't play Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Sisters of Mercy, Christian Death, Fields of the Nephilim, old The Cure, etc.
There was a video about how a lot of Dan Harmon types are into goths as their dream girls. I think it got taken down but it was a very interesting look into the industry and mindset of a lot of producers
Ugh I remember that.
Made by some creepo male feminist.
Almost every one of his criticisms started with "They think..."
Fucking poison.
Making a cumback!
I remember it being made by a girl
Different vid I guess.
Oh well.
It was the the style at the time. Also it was seen as edgy and counter culture.
I don’t understand why so many people like them tho. that idea of the big tiddy goth waifu and all that.
is it just aesthetics?
The average woman is already a pain in the ass to deal with, but moody hos take it to next level.
> Also it was seen as edgy and counter culture.
not really
>big tiddy goth waifu
>is it just aesthetics?
>The average woman is already a pain in the ass to deal with
Yes.
My money would be on hipsters as the retrospective aesthetic identity of the 2010s.
Simping and begging for pussy is timeless
I was in the British grunge/nu-metal/goth/etc scene as a teen in the 2000's, and most of the girls I knew from that scene were a lot more 'tomboy' than other girls, which made them easier to talk to and less demanding, so now I associate goth girls with being pretty chill and comfortable to be around, but that's just based on my experience, I have no idea if it's different abroad but I rarely ever met a "stuck up" goth girl
Yes i donr care what does she like or what are her hobbies as long as she dresses as a slutty goth gurl with the hair, makeup, chockers, see through clothes and spider web thighighs
Are you a zoomer? Holy shit what a question. Because there were goths everywhere.
Sauce?
Owen won.
There is a legit alternate ending where she won

That video was mindless conjecture.
Trips of truth.
