The show focuses on racism themes but it was probably abuse in her youth that made her a bitch. She is shown to be sweet until the magus started to abuse her. After that she starts to not trust all men and take things into her own hands. She also copies her abuser by lying and manipulation. She essentially ruins her life by not trusting Goliath and Hudson and trying to manipulate them.

More good life lessons from Disney: don't stay in relationships with women who want to control everything, lie, manipulate you because some father figure in their past hit them.
