So is that it? you make something lewd with barely animation and you get 1 million views?

its been like this for years now, have you been living under a rock?

the real money's if you can get noticed on e621 and rack up commissions and patrons

youtube.com/watch?v=Z53VDLjBZhY

has doodling lewds always been the business it is? You look back on r34 or porn from like 10-20 years ago, it's practically all garbage compared to the renaissance-level dedication of drawing stuff like bloated, sweaty, assholes it is today.

Attached: that must have been a REAL big seagull.png (504x400, 312.46K)

Yeah, that's how it goes.

So if you wanna make something with a intriguing plot and interesting character development, you gotta hit that "came for the porn, stayed for the story" vibe like a motherfucker.

Part of it is algorithm changes. It's always algorithms. Youtube is trying to steal Tiktok's audience so they began incetivizing "shorts" in the hopes people would pirate Tiktoks and relocate all the viewers.

It's not working as well as it did to kill Vine, though, because by this point Youtune has a reputation.

The trick is Telepurte makes content kids and teens will watch, it's decent enough, and he makes a lot of it. Frankly it's better than Pewdiepie or Logan Paul, because at least Telepurte has talent and a craft.

No, you make something consistently almost daily for an extended period of time and you get 1 million views.

Meanwhile something with more then "barley animation" gets two million views

Doesn't have to lewd. It can also be cute/catchy/memeable. Especially if it's from something already popular.

Having a little animation is an upgrade from having no animation, not a downgrade from having a lot.

we're such simple creatures *)-(*

Not asking how the algorithm itself works (or maybe I am without realizing), but how do things get caught by it? It seems like you just spam as many tags as possible and hope for the best

I hate the internet and actively try to avoid clicking on stuff that I know is trying to draw me in with sex appeal, but I know what you mean. I don't think it is a coincidence that all these cartoon shows are putting waifu bait at the forefront all the time, some shows it's like all girls and the men are nowhere to be seen. That said I think the success of Spongebob, MLP and Sonic indicate that basing characters on ancient obvious archetypes is still a very effective storytelling method.

Western art has always been kinda clumsy, even now if you go on e621 or r34 90% is poorly drawn regardless of tag. Also decent scanners didn't become affordable until the mid-2000s and digital tablets didn't get popular until the early 2010s, a lot of stuff before then was drawn on paper and scanned at really low resolutions compared to what we have nowadays.

In Japan you could make a living drawing high quality lewd comics from what, the '80s onwards? In the US I think there were furry conventions in the early 80s where lewd art started pulling big bucks and there were artists that had fame and notoriety in those communities. I remember Fred Perry got his start selling lewd drawings to guys in his platoon during the Gulf War.

>user discovers 'sex sells'

It's based on a lot of things like viewer interaction (hence why every youtuber asks you to like comment and subscribe) and previous watch history. If it's fairly new and gets popular enough then youtube just starts recommending it to literally everyone.

Can see an actual nude furry female. So this thread is furry porn.

I'd thank Patreon and other donation-centric business models for that. Back in the day you didn't really have many options to monetize pornographic drawings, if you were lucky you could contract with an actual porn site like Zone did with HentaiKey but there wasn't really an option for indie porn artists to monetize.

I remember being a kid and thinking that anime art must have some secret generic component to it that made only Japanese people able to draw it, because back in the year 2000 you literally could not not find one single westerner capable of properly mimicking anime.

It do be like dat

you gotta earn it,Telepurpe did
he is based and focused

The sex appeal is part of it but I'd say the real viral aspect comes from the fact that it's a parody of an old viral video that millions of people are now nostalgic for. And we've already had the discussion about how fanart is more popular than original works a hundred times

Honestly whether or not you get noticed or famous is probably only about 20% related to your actual skills and 80% about random luck about who happens to share it and if you get picked up by a soulless algorithm or not. The more our society becomes dominated by social media the more people are going to wake up to the fact that professional "success" is almost completely arbitrary and therefore it shouldn't be tied to closely with financial opportunity

god that was a fun meme with all the takes that came afterward

the law and order one still makes me a laugh

Good for him, at least he has a skill he honed and is using it to make money on youtube instead of shitty drama channels like Daftpina.
this

SOVLESS, return to TRADITION youtube.com/watch?v=SaA_cs4WZHM

>grinds out animations almost every day
>NOOOOO HE DOESN'T DESERVE IT REEEEE

A new generation of artists who actually like being paid to be horny have trained on digital art tools. I just roll my eyes at the drama queens squealing about artist and audience liking sexy art.

Attached: 1640638173247.jpg (700x1000, 364.42K)

I'll give him some slack. He makes a different one every day. That shit gotta get tiring at some point.

He actually worked his butt off and started with literal stick figure animations. That kind of effort and commitment is rarely rewarded and seeing his journey go from such humble beginnings to consistently making 1m+ view animations regularly should be lauded, not jealously sneered at.
This is petty jeering at someone who had to work to where he is now over years because you think it's too tawdry.
If that comes across as harsh, it's because your accusation was far more so.

>tfw even extremely popular music artists in USSR were still required to work a normal job for like 2-3 days a week
Led to weird situations like a SUPER famous folk artist working in a coal mine twice a week iirc. Honestly, I think that's a good thing, would make them more humble.

Japanese kids have a lot more art and drawing classes in their schools than we do so talented students get a lot of practice and polish by high school age. The only western artist I can remember that came close 20 years ago was John Joseco, and he's Pinoy.

>for years now
I guess you could say that.

>lmao fuck personal freedom
Only retards like you deserve to experience the USSR.

They often change the algorithm because, bottom line, as soon as it gets cracked, it only produces bad content. Google's SEO system has made the internet much, much worse over time.

But the basic gist is, it first has to satisfy whatever criteria Youtube defines (in this case, being a potential Tiktok), and then it has to promote engagement. The engagement thing is key. Youtube is just trying to keep viewers watching ads, and they don't care what you watch. So if you keep clicking the next Telepurte video because there's a lot of them and you hope this time to finally see a nipple, you're "engaged".

If enough people "engage", Youtube promotes it. That's also why hate speech and political information is at an all time high, because it's highly engaging.

It's a very bad system for humanity in general, but if we were buried up to our eyebrows in Telepurte it'd be a thousand times better than what Google has done to the world so far. Big anime tiddies never claimed to be teaching you about your government. And aside from that what Telepurte does can't be done by just anyone, so it really is a thing that deserves a platform.

>with more then "barley animation"
Fucking ESL's.

I think the difference between then and now is that more people can easily share their amateur smut. There are probably attics all across the world that have secret horny scribbles buried away under old antiques, books, and family albums.

>AHHHH NOOOO STOP LIKING SEX STOP FUCKING LIKING SEX WHY CAN'T YOU ALL JUST DIE WITHOUT EVER THINKING OF HAVING PLEASURE OR REPRODUCING WHY DOESN'T THE ENTIRE HUMAN SPECIES JUST KILL ITSELF NOOOOO STOP BEING LE COOMERS NOOOO AHHHH I'M GOING INSANE NIGGERMAN HELP ME

Furries have very low standards, as noted here

Higher standards than weebs.
But weebs think they're furries these days so it's hard to tell.

People are desperate for hot women with NO american politics added to it. I'm talking about african tier starvation.
0 drama is so hard to find.

Attached: robynshocked.jpg (1000x1000, 250K)

It's easier to build an audience and now there's crowd funding.
>Western art has always been kinda clumsy
Eastern art has always been awful and continues to be. Even the 10% "well draw" is traced, sameface, samepose, samebody, samegirl. And heaven forbid you find an animation that isn't 3 frames on a loop.
When you can only draw one thing, you draw it really well. Or at least ~5 studios drill their shortcut style into their workers and make them do it until they do it right or die from a heart attack, or both. It's a really appallingly bad style for animation and imagination.

Telepurte is shit and the fact faggots like Yea Forumstards made her popular (seriously, why is this bitch always on my frontpage? I've filtered her channel TWICE now). Kill yourselves.

When is he finally gonna draw Nila(that black haired girl) getting dicked down?

Artists know there are two groups of people with way too much disposable income and way too little financial responsibility: coomers and furries. It's easy to make a buck off these people but it's equally easy to get caught in a trap of never being able to do anything else again and then the question becomes if it's worth throwing away every last shred of self-respect and dignity you have left to spend the rest of your life catering to these people for money.

Sauce?

>Sauce?
No, I think that's seagull shit.

>Artists know there are two groups of people with way too much disposable income and way too little financial responsibility: coomers and furries.
Or, more likely, most people just like sex like they have since the dawn of humanity since it's literally the reason why all of us are here, and YOU are the weird one, hence why modern mainstream media is full of shit like pic related.
But nah, go off, I'm sure it's just all those other people who are weird, not you.

The linework reminds me of Picturd, go try it.

Seethe harder. American cartoons aren't popular anymore old man

>Mole
The lazy designer's crutch

Yeah. it's pretty sad that you can look at a drawing and immediately see that it was drawn by a japanese person. I don't get it, is the emperor ordering to draw cartoons in a certain way? Why are they so uncreative?

Where do see a mole?

Look in the mirror.

>with barely animation
You need animation?
