Dogs are just as murderous as cats, the whole reason we domesticated them (from wolves, mind) was to help us Murder prey items.
Dogs also kill 35,000 people globally per year, compared to house cats which is close to (but not actually at) zero.

Sometimes I resent the fact that cartoons have been so reliant on funny animals for so long.
We could have had so many more cute human toon girls across the 20th century but 80% are either animals or kids. We saw some kino in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s but after 2008 it seems like most of it dried up or switched away from that golden/silver age style. Didn't help that adult cartoons always seemed to forego cute designs mostly so most of the real estate was taken up by anime girls.
