They also forgot that if the two competitors lack chemistry the final will be boring. Duncan versus Lindsay won't be much better than him versus Beth since neither really interacted. Though Duncan versus Harold would have worked.
Of course they could have copied Island and had the helpers help/hinder Duncan due to what he did during this season.
