I don't know if we've ever gotten sales figures but i used to collect the toys way back in the day;

I'd say the figures probably did OK and they certainly had a lot of the different aliens. The whole reason some of them were redesigned was for toys but then..i think kids were far more inclined to buy actual monster aliens like Wildvine/Stinkfly VS their reboot "humanoid" appearance.

One of the things the toy line has always lacked was any kind of villain figures. It was mainly the aliens and then if you were lucky, sometimes other humans besides Ben. Vilgax/Highbreed i think were the only villains to ever get figures. Like they never ever made a Charmcaster figure for some reason.

This bothered me back then as well. Ross got some two packs with exclusive figures like zombozo so that was cool to collect back then. I recently got a seven seven figure shipped from the UK

Im still bitter that playmates toys cancelled their kraab figure, at least i got my favorite villain dr animo out of the reboot toyline

I have tons of issues with the reboot, but it had the best vilgax.

Alien force was edgier therefore better then the joke omniverse was

I’ll admit Ben could come off as too goofy sometimes, but it was balanced out wherever the situation called for it like Khyber or the Incersean invasion.

Just because AF was edgier deny necessarily make it better, AF could get pretty melodramatic at points. Even flat out ignoring a simple solution to force drama in a fight

I guess I can’t change your mind on that. But I came at it thinking that because most of these characters knew Ben for so long, they weren’t afraid to call him out on his goofiness or flat out stupidity. And with Rook he was thinking of Ben as some kinda legend, so seeing him as a normal guy led him to be a little judgmental. But he got over it and accepted him

I get that's what they were doing, i just feel it got a bit tiring after a while. Altough that's more with how the show forces Ben to not always suceeded to give Rook something to do.

And honestly the wrong alien thing here was so beaten down that i couldnt even muster a smirk everyime it happened.

I dont hate OV btw, i rather enjoy it, but that does bug me a lot.

The mistransformations could get annoying at times I’ll give you that. But I did like how it forced Ben to problem solved. His adaptability with the omnitrix is my favorite trait of his. Also led to my favorite quote: “It seems to know me better than me.”

I do like Rook, but sometimes it felt a tad too obvious. Then again its something that bugs me in OS and UAF too.

I feel maybe it would have been fine if it wasnt done more times than Ben getting the right alien. I feel it was something already done too much in the previous series but OV just brought that tenfold (ha). I also feel he wasnt always that adaptable since half the time the wrong transformation doesnt help withuot his allies being there.

Omniverse ruined the franchise

I think that was in service of showing Ben also thrives when he’s part of a team, it’s why I think he was shaken up by Gwen and Kevin’s sudden departure. So when he’s got someone backing him up, it doesn’t matter if he gets the wrong alien cause with a partner he’ll figure something out.

OV doesn’t have the perfect Ben, hell none of the series do, but he’s certainly my favorite

I absoltuley get that, its jut that it makes Ben far less comptentent in return, and i just dont care for that. And honestly while its always been there, i think having ben so reliant on the team can be a bit boring.

Yeah man it’s all about our own tastes in a protagonist. I like one who’s able to make a joke just as quick as he’s able to save the universe, you prefer one who’s more level headed and on top of things. Nothing really wrong with either of our opinions

They're working on a sequel of Ben 10 for HBO Max. It's due to release this year. Originally, A sequel reboot series was in the works, but HBO Max and CN have opted for a sequel to classic Ben 10 due to how popular Classic Ben is.

The story will take place after the classic Ben 10 Series and will start a new prime timeline with Ben turning 11. The AF,UA,OV timeline will no longer be the canon future but instead - An alternate timeline that branches off into a different future after Ben takes off the Omnitrix.

Tara, Paul and Megan are returning to voice the main characters of Ben, Grandpa Max, and Gwen Tennyson.
Ben and Gwen will have new appearances that fuse their Reboot and Classic designs together.
Ben wears a green hoodie with his white and black shirt underneath. The hoodie has a "10" imprinted on the front. He looks and acts like classic Ben but has a new Omnitrix. Gwen has blue magic and it doesn't get referenced as anodyte mana.

The artstyle resembles an anime/cartoon style. Like classic Ben 10 and Teen Titans, but smoother lines and better looking.

Omniverse might get a space roadtrip arc next year, depending on how many viewing numbers HBO Max gets.
