>THE NEXT BIG THING Begins Here! Renowned storyteller Walter Mosley brings his signature style to a sweeping saga of Yancy Street's favorite son that will range from the urban sprawl of the back alleys of Manhattan to the farthest reaches of the cosmos itself! A lonely evening and a chance encounter (or is it?) sends Ben Grimm embarking on a sojourn that will have him encountering—and battling—figures both old and new. Featuring guest appearances from figures drawn from throughout the Marvel Universe as well as precision artwork by Tom Reilly, THE NEXT BIG THING will remind audiences why the Thing is one of the most popular and beloved characters in the history of comics!
The Thing Storytime
Still not the weirdest thing to happen in Brooklyn.
Ah, thank you for doing this OP. Some user mentioned this mini existed the other day and it piqued my curiosity, since I don't think Yea Forums ever discussed this outside of solicits thread.

Just gotta keep remembering this is set 'years ago' and is probably a much less confident in himself Ben.
What a great start.
the time period when this is set is honestly rather confusing especially when doom gets involved.
>It also reflects the onomatopoeia
That's... God that's clever. I don't recall ever seeing that before.
Sad Ben makes me sad
;__;
Art and coloring compliments each other so well here btw, they got someone actually good.
Smart
1) The NYPD having a specially armored response team for superhumans
2) Knock-out gas for the specially armored response team to transport said individuals
They got there pretty damn fast too.
Tom Reilly is an artist to look out for it seems not sure what else he has done though, he's the artist on that Al Ewing Ant-man book and he has done a couple of one-shots for marvel
And then she dates Johnny... Only it turns out it's not her IT'S A FUCKING SKRULL! AND I'M STILL MAD ABOUT THAT GODDAMN PLOTLINE
Oh be honest, you only picked him because he's a rock monster man, Wilson Fisk matches all those criteria and you know it!
Isn't Fisk married/widowed?
"... You're not gonna short sell me like J-Date did, are ya?"
I read along as the book published to the end and have no idea who is this
... Do the tires help?
I mean they sure do add to your ad-hoc look but it seems like you're still hitting things with your knucks.
All I know is that
He sails off into the sunset with Typhoid Mary at the end of Devil's Reign
if we go by Marvel time this takes place in 1993 or so which kinda tracks with Reed saying it's Russia instead of the USSR anymore
He has done a one shot about Cyclops and another about Morbius.

I managed to get a commission of Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider from him a few years back.
In marvel time the FF was formed in the 2000s.
Ben, despite whatever fucking Amadeus Cho says, there's no special math or tactic for Super Jumps.
Our first questions arise here
- How did the kid get the Vibranium Gauntlet? Did Ben have it on him when he went to Radio City Music Hall and the kid lifted it off him?
A classic cover for a modern era
>PDNY
Uh oh, that's not right... They're also not sporting any of the kit from the first issue.
