general consensus says it’s Craig’s weakest show but is it an objectively bad show?
General consensus says it’s Craig’s weakest show but is it an objectively bad show?
>Craig’s weakest show
out of The Powerpuff Girls, Fosters and Wander? I'd say Wander was weakest.
Fosters was alright, worst thing you can say about it is Bloo became an insufferablt twat the longer the show went on.
It was better than Puffy AmiYumi, Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partner's a Monkey and Squirrel Boy.
PPG was overrated, way weaker than Wander ever could be even with the scrapped third season in mind
Lazlo was comfy and mgpam was watchable, the other two nah. Shame because squirrel boy had a bunch of talent on it. A great cast plus a bunch of Johnny bravo and Jimmy neutron writers
It got 6 seasons and won numerous awards, so people must have liked it.
I liked Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends.
His weakest show is Kid Cosmic
Yeah sure, post Franky
You forgot Kid Cosmic.
>Johnny test
>6 seasons
Isn’t there at least 8? Not sure if WB or CN still has the rights to it though since there’s a new season (or reboot?) on Netflix
This was before it got revived, but yes it has 8 seasons now.
Damn, I wonder whose actually watching it considering its relatively unironic unpopularity (in its child target audience anyway not the meme crowd). The first season is okay but I can’t imagine there was that much goodwill for it to have another 7 seasons coast of it.
He was at CN the other day, what’s the chances of another Foster’s anything happening? 2000s nostalgia is pretty big right now.
>anything ATLA related
>Samurai Jack season 5 and game
>Kim possible live action TV movie
>Danny phantom graphic novel
>the proud family reboot
>yet another futurama revival
>clone high season 2
I keep forgetting Mike, Lu, and Og and SMFA has two seasons.
I just thought they only ran for one.
It was a lot of fun and I still remember a lot of good episodes, so I don't think it's really that bad a show.
Does he even know any of the creators? All of his Cartoon Cartoons friends left decades ago and the ones he taught like Greenblatt, Van Orman and Browngardt left as well.
So did everyone else
Being Craig's weakest show is like being the Beatles' worst album
It's still pretty fucking good
So is CN just too cheap to change the logo on their studio or do they also realize it’s the best one?
Never heard of that.
Foster's went on for six seasons, with a TV movie and a clear send-off. There's no need for more.
craig has seen some shit.
Last report was that he is now back at Disney with a Villan- Centric show after the whole Netflix Animation cancellation trainwreck and that this meeting was just to see something for The Powerpuff Girls 25th Anniversary for 2023 related to that Powerpuff World trademark probably another PPG documentary for HBO Max
I believe the writers wrote beyond their time talent. PPG was pretty good, but the movie was meh.
Foster's it's more or less the same but not a bad show objectively
Fosters always just felt like B material compared to its contemporaries on the channel. I never looked forward to it they way I did something like KND or Bill & Mandy, it was just decent filler in my opinion. In the end Fosters’ most famous contribution to pop culture is probably the Thanksgiving Day Parade Rick Roll.
He looks like the trash guy
It was alright, just dull and jokeless (alongside HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi, it's the weakest Cartoon Network original)
This
> Fosters’ most famous contribution to pop culture
That, or Topeka and Orlando Bloo
PPG > Kid Cosmic = Wander > No Neck Joe > Foster's
None are bad
For me it's Erin Peterson.
how would it go about being rebooted anyway? Just pick up where it left off with the DI movie or with a time skip like live action FOP with Mac going to college and handing Bloo over to a new kid?
You’d also have to recast Herriman and Eduardo. since Herriman’s original VA is sick or dead (don’t remember which) Tom Kenney could do the voice now. post Big Mouth “character and VA’s race must match” Ed gets some Mexican actor. As for Mac it depends if they age him up for the first voice or just recast him with another kid
I love it lol. It's one of my favorite cartoons from my childhood. I don't really get the hate aside from Bloo shifting personalities after the pilot.
No Neck Joe?
So Disney's own CN Villainous but more kino?
>both attempts to reboot ThunderCats were shitcanned after a single season
damn
Damn how did MAD last so long....
This will beat Adventure Time record screencap this
As you like it.
I am so angry that they wasted The Powerpuff Girls reboot.
Yeah the old school PPG was great, even the design of the teenage version of the girls.
Even as a parody I can buy bubbles dressing like that but it seems a bit revealing for blossom and buttercup’s tastes.
this pic hurts me. Something about weeb shit like this is really nostalgic and I miss it
Disney already did their own Villainous, 2 times
-Descendants Franchise
-That upcoming Anime based on the mobile game Twisted Wonderland
It seems Craig's Villan show for Disney Channel will be it's own original thing without bringing any other IP like Villainous did on their first season which will be interesting to see.
Also funny thing Disney has a IP with the name Villainous for a board game, im surprised they haven't sent a C&D to Warner for using that name....
>amazon.com
I remember Craig mentioning he wants to do a live action/puppetry movie of Fosters with Mac and the humans of the show being played by real actors while the imaginary friends are done by puppets provided by The Jim Henson Company and Sesame Workshop
Anyone got versions of this for Nick and Disney?
The majority of post-2005 Nicktoons are 2 seasons since they couldn't get SpongeBob ratings.
Fosters 20th is in 2 years no idea how’d they could pull it off in time
yes. mac is a shit protagonist and frankie does nothing
wait, clone high is getting a 2nd season?
Why is this board so anti-Craig? There's like 3 schizos who badmouth him at every chance.
I love this show every episode is like a mini Pixar movie.
Eh, it's average. (Like most shows of that time.) It also seems to me that Foster has the weakest design of his shows.
I have been re-watching PPG on HBO Max and the show is still great, great characterization, good character designs and heartwarming moments. It's funny looking back if you compare it to Kid Cosmic where the character always "avoids having to punch" the bad guy.
Yes, on hbo Max stated for this or next year. No idea how they’ll handle the Gandhi issue

It's just industryschizo user probably he just replies to his own threads
I really don't remember Camp Lazlo having 4 seasons. Gotta say, pretty based
>It's funny looking back if you compare it to Kid Cosmic where the character always "avoids having to punch" the bad guy.
To be fair, the way Kid fucks over the main villain in the last episode after they made you think Kid was going to save him was pretty based.
Oh yes, I liked that moment.
Though I was referring to how the PPG hit villains left and right even if some of them didn't deserve it.
I admire Craig's work, but FHFIF was a cartoon that had an excellent beginning, but as it went on, it grew worse and worse until it became borderline unwatcheable due to all the misery porn episodes that were seemingly written just to see how bad of an aftertaste they will leave.
Also, take a look at the main cast of characters and notice how most of them eventually turned into one-dimensional entities with but a single 'joke' inside them.
It was great until they started including characters with the gimmick of being intentionally annoying.
