I think at this point we can confidently call white people an evolutionary mistake. I'm talking about one particular element of human behavior which seems to be nearly exclusive to white people - heightened sense of empathy. No other race displays such degree of acceptance to outsiders and such mercifulness to the aggressors. As a powerful, but double-edged sword, hypertrophied empathy led white people to the creation of beautiful works of art and literature and the construction of complex industrial and corporate infrastructures which couldn't be possibly made on the backs of unwilling slaves. But like any double-edged sword, one must eventually fall on it, and we're the generation that takes the hit. Like I said, being sad about it is irrational - such highly empathetic creatures as whites, while outwardly beautiful, were never meant for this world, at least not at the moment.
