Sorry m8, but "Destiny Unfulfilled" is still the defacto ultimate takedown of Harry Potter from a technical, literary perspective. Does this dude's moral critique make any mention of how Harry never really earns anything that he achieves, but rather everything is ultimately handed to him by innumerable deus ex machinas?

I want to take this opportunity to remind the good folks at Yea Forums that Roger Scruton stars in the best documentary on YouTube. Enjoy

>Does this dude's moral critique make any mention of how Harry never really earns anything that he achieves, but rather everything is ultimately handed to him by innumerable deus ex machinas?
he does, but not in those words

>Roger Scruton finds *real* beauty in Neoclassical kitsch
cringe.

English people can make the simplest points sound so profound by a mix of extended vocabulary and airy accents, it’s despicable

Buttmad mutt.

Meanwhile, Potterism is the fastest growing religion in the world while Christianity has to rely on migrants to maintain its halls of sodomy.

>Meanwhile, Potterism is the fastest growing religion
Obviously it's the fastest growing when it's insignificant in size Christianity has to convert 20 million people just to increase by 1%

Though i disagree with one half of his argument the other half i feel is essentially right. Potterism is a kind of unknowing and accidental infantilism. I'd love to hear arguments against this though from potter supporters.

>pic related was a pretty good critique of harry potter that came (presumably) from here.

I remember seeing it get spread around on Twitter with thousands of likes and RTs which was pretty weird.

>arguments from potterfaggots

Can these people ever relate to contemporary issue that isn't compared with some pop culture?

Is there anything more kitsch than people using the word 'kitsch' to describe 19th century academic painting? Bargain bin level post modern critique, literally more cliche than supposed cliches of the art movement
