Holy...i want more
Nice book, Sean is the GOD of this era,
How do you feel about section 3?
Where can I read this for free? Don't want to buy a meme book
nvm just saw that it is provided for free
Care to link? Google doesn't bring up anything and it's not on libgen
nevermind, the text is provided for free, missed the link at the bottom
sage
The first part is good, the second half is a meme
>technology bad and we should all be farmers
>but let's go to space
Pick one
space farmers
it's nothing good, nothing new, nothing much, really
Nuance.
Farmonauts.
>Nuance
If he implied it in the book, then I'd be okay with it. He didn't. He goes on and on about how technology is bad, one step away from going full Uncle Ted, then pulls a 180 and starts preaching about space travel. You can't eat your cake and have it too.
Wow, what an organic, genuine, and totally not manufactured thread. I bet all of the posters are different people too.
Hey, do you guys think Sean Goonan himself visits Yea Forums?
>Hey, do you guys think Sean Goonan himself visits Yea Forums?
He used to post on /pol/, I'd imagine he'd post here too.
>Hey, do you guys think Sean Goonan himself visits Yea Forums?
The book is shit, I'm convinced Sean is trying to advertise here.
>advertise here
unironically, that's been his model. He used to shill on /pol/ all the time, especially when he first released the book.
>"Technology makes our lives too complicated. We are unfulfilled. We are being distracted and forgetting to wonder. But there is a place for some technology in our lives. Technology plays a role in the actualization of exploration. There must be a limited and highly nuanced and selective approach to the use of technology. "
Again, this is all AFTER nearly going full Uncle Ted. He goes too hard for too long before shifting gears.
You're right but it's kind of humorous and I think it was intended to be slightly humorous. I like it.
I think he did it that way to show people that they have to think completely different about the status quo way of thinking about things. Like taking them on a rollercoaster, which is kind of how the whole book is. 10 pages of shitting on technology, oh and we have to conquer the stars by the way. Your way of thinking is never going to be the same.
>Your way of thinking is never going to be the same.
You outed yourself, Sean. You're trying to be too big brained for your own good. Stick with the stuff in that first section tho. That was really good. The rest is just memeing imo
I was implying that might be what he was thinking. So I guess it would sound like him.
